This is about as fast as I can fingerpick while singing. And yet I'm still a good 10 bpm off the original. It also wasn't easy at all for me to pick at the speed I am (I wouldn't be confident in my ability to do it live). I was wondering if my right hand technique is inhibiting my speed and accuracy in my fingerpicking? My pinky and ring finger curl in towards my palm when I'm playing and I think this could be tensing up my hand. I've tried anchoring and not curling my ring and pinky but I can't it just naturally happens. Any tips for me to improve speed and accuracy while fingerpicking? I practice a lot but feel like my fingerpicking isn't improving. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

[Technique] Sterilizing seven grain jars in an All American 921 pressure canner. Followed the instructions which advise filling the canner with three inches of water for a 90 minute cycle at 15psi and my jars are floating...
Did some research via google/shroomery and I'm seeing that some people advise using 1" of water which goes against what is written in the manual and what I've seen done on YouTube when processing foods for long cycles. I've also read that having the water more than 50% up the side of the jar is bad and also that it is not bad lol. I know that during long cycles a lot of water will evaporate and exit the canner via steam and having it boil dry is what we need to avoid otherwise the canner will be ruined... should I have added the extra trivet/jars of water on top to weigh the jars down? Anyone have any experience with this or any input?

I'm not new to sewing, also not advanced, and I find that I am lacking a lot when it comes to hand stitching. Does anyone know of a book I could use to learn about the different types of needles, embroidery, tapestry, etc. And about different types of hand stitching techniques? I want to be better at hand sewing.

Three Finger Left Hand Technique? Anyone use this?
I have very small hands, but would like to play the bass. Just started like 4 days ago at the age of 30. I can use the the 4 finger, one for each fret system in the middle to higher part of the neck. It often sounds dead or rattly but I assume as my pinky gets stronger it will get better. I honestly don't think stretching at the low end with my pinky is ever going to be comfortable or practical. This guy and only one other seem to think it is ok to use three fingers. Anyone else play this way and should I adopt it?
Right now I am playing a basic major scale, so I guess when he gets to the low end he just has to shift over a bunch of times to finish the scale?

What kind of hammer and technique is best for accurately locating and drilling holes by hand?
I'm a hobbyist and I'm using a cheapo drill press and I don't have an x-y table so I'm doing it by hand. I have an optical center punch and I feel like the eyepiece can locate the center mark to within a couple thou, but the finished hole is off by 15-20 thou. What are some things I can do to improve?
Follow up question: what kind of tolerances can I hope for if I do everything right?

There seems to be a consensus that European pole-arm techniques place the dominant hand at the back end. Does this carry over to asian (or at least Chinese) pole-arms? I don't suppose it really matters, but I always instinctually put my dominant hand towards the front on anything two-handed.
