TIL that bees will not build in a gap that is very specifically 6-9 mm in width (but they WILL build in larger or smaller spaces). This discovery, called "bee space", made modern beehives with removeable "frames" for honeycomb possible; otherwise, the bees would just cement everything together.

TIL that the entomologist Justin O. Schmidt created the ''Schmidt sting pain index''. This scale rates the pain from stings of ants, wasps and bees. While getting stung by a warrior wasp, he told to himself: ''Torture. You are chained in the flow of an active volcano. Why did I start this list?''.

Killer Bees' Jim Brunzell on today's Tag Team Wrestling: "The problem is now is that nobody will succumb to a weakness. Everybody is tough, so you don't get any sympathy from the crowd and you can't build that crescendo in the match when there's a hot tag."

By 2050, the U.S. will lose $83 billion a year because of all the nature that was destroyed. Turns out, a lot of natural processes are usedβbees to pollinate, rivers to irrigate crops, reefs to act as flood protection. When theyβre gone, itβs going to get expensive.

Will bees spawn in if existing worlds are loaded into the next snapshot, or will only new worlds have bees/beehives generate naturally?
Just wondering if I'll have to use commands to add bees to our server world or will they appear automatically once the world is updated to 1.15?

In case you donβt already know, putting fabric softeners in the outgoing mail slots of CBUs will help prevent bees from making nests in there.
Did it last year in all my CBUs and no nests:) just put some new ones in this last week. Also makes them smell nice, which is a perk!

[#11|+4507|109] LPT If a bee colony has set up a hive that you need removed, don't call the exterminator. Beekeepers will relocate the hive often for free. This is an easy way to be nice to the bees and to your wallet :) [r/LifeProTips]

Iβm confused? On all the βofficialβ minecraft update wikis it says ver. 1.15 will have only bees, honey, and honey bee related stuff added but I also saw all this stuff about the βThe Game Changing Updateβ thatβs bringing tons of new mobs, bosses, & dimensions?
Pardon my amateur knowledge, Iβve owned Minecraft(Java - Mac) since at least late 2011 - early 2012 and played tons, then I kind of forgot about it for about 3-4 years and have only just recently started playing and there is so much new stuff. I just found out about 1.15 tonight but am pretty confused because the game changing update seems amazing and Iβm very excited for its release on dec 10 but all the official 1.15 update info says nothing about new mobs, bosses, and dimensions. Am I just super dumb and missing something? Sorry for the long text post :/
