The One With The Baby On The Bus Puns

Was just on the 1B headed up Bayfield when a couple got on the bus with a pair of strollers.

Everyone courteously got out of the collapseable seats so they could park their strollers, but it was immediately obvious that these babies were, in fact, dolls. Unmoving, unblinking, lifeless.

They then started chatting to each other at a volume I can only explain as being intentionally loud so the whole bus could hear about their children... Age... Names...

The whole experience was strange, and kind of chilling.

Has anyone run into these folks?

I am starting to move from nervous to excited and am getting close to finding the parts I want.

The main thing for the case is to dampen noise as much as possible so that it won't be too noisy for a stream :)

The other day I was waiting for a bus in the station; bus was late, longish queue, normal for about 4pm. Just before the bus came, a bloke in a fairly hefty electric whhelchair came to the front of the queue. The bus came, everyone allowed him to board first, no problem.

Because it was going to be fairly packed, I decided to wait for the next (due in 5 mins) and sat down. So did an elderly couple.

At the end of the queue, a young woman (Karen) with a big pram joined the queue. Karen had been round the shops with her mum, as evidenced by all the carrier bags. She boards the bus, there's a short conversation I don't hear and she gets back off the bus.

So then she starts complaining. Firstly that it shouldn't be allowed. We told her that the spaces are wheelchair priority. The she tried with the opinion there was plenty of room for both - I doubt it, those wheelchairs need room. Finally, after exclaiming that she had a newborn baby she tried again with the "it shouldn't be allowed" and asked me - a Mum-type person, if I agreed. I did not agree. And I told her that.

So then they went off to the bus office to see a manager. Ten minutes later they were back, and still complaining. Apparently the manager had not agreed with them either.

In the end, the due-in-five-mins bus still hadn't arrived half an hour later, and she was still there with a face like a slapped arse when I got a different bus home.

TL:DR Karen thought a young baby entitled her to get on a bus where there was no room and discovered nobody at all agreed with her.

I think my ancestor might have been snubbed by George Washington . I don’t even know how to process that.
