A photo a took when i was a kid. I was taking pictures in the dark and took a few of the mirror. Usually the flash on the mirror made a cool looking effect, but it was just a ball of light this time. I have no idea who or what is behind me.

ELIF: How come when you look in the mirror and watch your pupils dilate you do not experience any brightness change in your vision while your iris is adjusting to the light?

If the iris is meant to work the same as a cameras aperture wouldn’t we notice the light levels changing while they adjust?

Edit - ELIF should be ELI5 lol my bad

[TOMT][TikTok][2019-2020] I'm looking for this TikTok where a guy with long hair goes up to a mirror and his friends are there dancing and partying to a well-known song, then he jumps and is the same room but he's alone. The light is dim and the song is now a sadder version of itself.

I know this is a weird one but I can't get it out of my head. The caption was something like "Those Snapchat '1 year ago' posts hit different"

If we see whats happening on a star body based on the distance and the light reflected on it, if we send out something (ex.: probe) to space with a mirror turned to earth, we can see time reversing as it goes away from earth.

Assuming we have the "right" telescope, right probe, etc.

"Right" as in "probably there's no such powerful telescope that can see us back here with such detail"

Spock in 'Lights and Shadows' is actually from the Mirror Universe

(This is apparently too shitty for the real Daystrom, therefore it is here.)

Why do I think that? Spock has a beard.

One might arguments that he has not shaved for a long time and has therefore grown a beard. Seems logical until you consider this one scene in 'The Motion Picture' where Spock refuses the pendant the priestess offers him. At this point, Spock has been in the desert for months, his hair has grown, he is dirty, but he is completely beardless. Maybe he cannot grow one?

The only time we actually see a bearded Spock is in the episode called 'Mirror, Mirror'. Mirror Spock's only visual difference to the normal Spock is his goatee. It strikes Kirk as remarkably unusual.

It is also to consider that the Spock we see in 'Lights and Shadows' might be ruffled, but still has cut edges to his beard. Therefore, he must have had the beard before he went insane, as I deem it unlikely that the edges would have been cut afterwards.

Considering all these facts and also the two-parter 'The Menagerie', where we see a younger Spock without a beard, I deem it the only logical solution that the Spock in 'Lights and Shadows' is Mirror Spock.
