A list of puns related to "The Mary Whitehouse Experience"
Unlike a lot of things I thought were hilarious as a teenager I'm pretty sure The Mary Whitehouse Experience would hold up, but I'm unable to confirm. It seems weird that not only is it not on DVD but it never even gets mentioned any more when people talk about great British comedy. Is it possible that it only seemed like everyone loved it at the time because everyone I knew was 13? Is it still funny to point at someone who's just had a haircut and say "haircu-ut" (not sure how to punctuate that but the answer is yes). And whatever happened to Rob Newman?
Did it help ease any of the stress of your natural tendencies? Did it exacerbate anything? Did it become a problem? Etc..
Don't make him gain new abilities in the middle of the fight unless they were hinted at before; and don't let him win a straight fight with an antagonist that is much more experienced than him. The villain may commit errors or luck may play in the hero's favor, but don't do it too much unless you're writing a comedy.
And now you're gonna say: "but SXB13, Hollywood blockbusters don't need it". Well, Hollywood blockbusters generally suck in the writing department. I'm giving you advice to be good, not to write the biggest blockbuster of the year.
Also, if you receive criticism you find unfair and, if you want to answer to it, don't care about the words you critic used. Concentrate about the argument.
