The music in Destiny has always been amazing. Michael Salvatori and his team always out do themselves with every new release. Make sure to show some love by voting if you enjoyed Destiny 2's score as much as I did.
Seasons greetings /r/XboxOne!
Thankyou once again for an amazing turnout of voters this year! We had a total of 10,103 responses - And upon removing the 6,822 naughty votes from people who thought they could bot the system (tisk tisk) we arrived at the grand total of 3,281 respondents!
##A big thanks to all of you who took the time to fill out the survey.
On with the show!! As always - The votes have been counted correctly, altered based on my own personal bias and edited to reflect the juicy bribes I received in bitcoin and anime hug pillows from publishers.
Each winner has been given a prestigious and totally not imaginary /r/XboxOne exclusive "award", and are celebrated below.
As a heads up - By their very nature, these awards will contain mild spoilers. You have been warned
BEST SHOOTER #Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Blasting Nazis, robot dogs and the KKK with death lasers in a fictional alternate reality 1960s America? Whats not to love here?! The man who starred in the very first FPS game as we know them; B.J Blazkowicz returns and sets the record straight on just how the shooter genre is done.
BEST RPG #Assassins Creed: Origins Something of a surprise winner this year - The AC series is not known for its RPG flair, but Ubisoft went back to the drawing board with the newest instalment of the franchise and re-imagined AC as a sprawling, open world RPG set in ancient Egypt. Well done Ubisoft. Despite very strong competition from South Park: The Fractured, But Whole, you managed to take the win! Just don't get comfortable in your seats - I have a feeling we will see you back on the award stage very soon...
BEST ACTION/ADVENTURE #Assassins Creed: Origins And by very soon - I mean right now... Never before have we awarded the Action Adventure AND Role Playing Game trophies to the same game - But then again, never before has a game managed to fuse open-world action, platforming and adventure quite so well into a deep RPG system. Truly a new benchmark for the open world genre, AC:O smashed its second-place rival, Shadow of War by over a thousand votes and adds another feather in its hat.
BEST NARRATIVE #Wolfenstein 2: The New Colussus 4 awards given out and only 2 games mentioned. Despite very healthy competition in this award from many games, Wolfenstein 2 managed to narrowly outpace its nearest rival, Prey and take the win. Violent, ridiculous and funny - But also poignant, emotional and surprisingly

It's that time of the year again! For the FOURTH time running, we call upon you to unleash your inner fanboy as you vote for that one game you like in every single category it appears in (objectivity be damned), in order to help us decide what you want to be declared the 2017 Xbox One game of the year!
The "official" awards have already come and gone - But remember that this is the organisation who never gave the greatest game of all time, Pool Nation FX, its due.
This is the most important thing you will do all year. I guarantee it.
Here are links to the previous years:
###2014 - Sunset Overdrive ###2015 - The Witcher 3 ###2016 - Overwatch

I don't see a thread made.. so lets discuss Game Awards here.
I'm sure most of you heard that there was meant to be a big announcement from Rockstar tonight. But the only thing I can find is that Pearl Abyss released a video for the GAME Rockstar rather than Rockstar themselves saying anything.
Was anyone actually tuned in and find anything? Or was it just a ruse to get us disappointed again?

A very large portion of Destiny fans, including myself, felt let down by Bungie with the vanilla (and Y1 in general) D2 and we have been very vocal about our disapointment with the game and Bungie deserve every good words about Forsaken. We all hope now that they will not repeat the same mistake a third time in wasting our money and time polishing D3 Y1.
See this as some kind of rant but when i look at the competition Siege had im extremely wondered that Siege has not won. And if this is not the place for this feel free to delete it mods :)
First of all the description of the Title: "Awarded to a game for outstanding development of ongoing content that evolves the player experience over time."
Alrighty now lets take a look at the competition shall we?
Player UnknownΒ΄s Battleground PUBG is a high impact game of 2017 no questions asked, but its not really Ongoing as its in early access, and even then they stopped the Monthly Updates as far as i know leading to no big new content in the last months.
Destiny 2 Maybe Destiny players can tell me more about this, but to what i know so far only a few new Legendary items and i think 2 new raids were added.
GTA Online This year we got the Gunrunning, Smugglers Run and Cunning Stunts DLC to GTA Online. However Gunrunning and Smugglers Run were only about making money in a pretty lame way, but content wise GTA Online was pretty good, and they couldve won this if they announced the new Heist earlier.
Warframe Warframe recieved some big Updates this year, active players know more but from what you guys told me Warframe recieved a big Update with an Open World added and some more.
Overwatch From the start of 2017 we got 2 NEW updates in Overwatch, the Event to Celebrate 1 Year of Overwatch and the Omnic Crysis. The other 2 Events (Summer games and Halloween) were revamps of the Events last year with only a fraction of new skins added compared with 2016. The Omnic Crysis event had a pretty good Coop though.
Rainbow Six Siege Starting with Velvet Shell this year has been an emotional rollercoaster. All in all we recieved 8 new Operators, and i know most hated it at first, but we also had Operation Health which seems to have really fixed the game for good. Now with also having the Year 3 announcement we know that Ubi is continueing the support at least until Year 5.
Conclusion Now im not confused why Overwatch won, the community is just bigger and its more known across the globe than siege. Anyway, deep down in my heart i know that Siege won and im looking forward to enjoy this game with probably the best community there is.
TL;DR I kind of complain that Siege has not won the game awards and compare its added content to the other games who couldve won.

Hey everyone,
Let's use this thread as a way to wind-down from all the announcements and awards tonight from The Game Awards 2017. Talk about the highlights, missteps, awkward advertisements, snubbed games and whatever else you want. (I'm happiest about the Bayonetta 3 announcement and the awards for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.)

"BEST FREE TO PLAY GAME
Fortnite: Battle Royale This was not even a question in the minds of you guys. Epic's somewhat ahem familiar take on the battle royale genre utterly decimated the competition this year. Just goes to show that when your original game idea is tanking, there are much worse things you can do than rebuild your game into cartoony PUBG meets Minecraft. Nice one Epic."
