Couldn't think of a good title to go with my thinking. For some reason this stood out to me very recently and I would love to hear other thoughts. In the books, there are a handful of mentions of physical attractiveness which I can recall. It's been awhile since I read the books. But with these mentions then came the eventual loss of the physical attractiveness. (From Harry's perspective, obviously.) Bill Weasley, who was the looker in the Weasley family had his face disfigured by Fenrir Greyback. Sirius Black and Bellatrix LeStrange, both apparent hotties in their youth, lost their looks after being imprisoned for so long. And Tom Riddle/Voldemort, who was attractive in his youth, changed his own appearance. Fleur Delacour is stunningly beautiful, but her looks come at a cost, such as women don't seem to like her and men will basically say anything to her to get her attention. Hermione has one night of beauty and then seems to go right back to being average. Everyone else's beauty seems to be inconsequential to Harry, except maybe Ginny who he begins to appreciate more later on in the stories.
For Christmas this year I'd like to get my girlfriend a painting of us. She's a massive sleeping beauty, and overall Disney fan, so I'm looking to get a painting professionally done for her (the best I could do is stick figures and corner suns).
Happy to clarify since this is somewhat ambiguous, but I'm thinking something along the lines of taking a photo of us from a dance formal recently and effectively putting our faces (or side profile for that matter) onto Philip and Aurora from the ball scene at the end of the movie, bonus points for dancing in front of sleeping beauty's castle in Disneyland.
