Song: Murder in the City
I know there are plenty of posts regarding the first Avett Brothers song you ever heard, but I'm wondering if anyone has a specific song or lyric that really set them apart from other favorite artists.
For me, either The Ballad of Love and Hate, or the line in Left on Laura, Left on Lisa, where he talks about setting the clock back for springtime love. I remember hearing it and really understanding the daylight savings aspect of it and freaking out over the genius songwriting. Haven't disappointed me since.
