Texas Annexation

What was the document that annexed Texas into the U.S called. I’ve seen websites call it the β€œTreaty of Annexation” and Wikipedia says β€œThe Tyler-Texas Treaty” I’m confused?

The Annexation of Texas

Was discussing the Annexation of Texas today and what truly led to the US getting involved and it becoming a state.

Was it do to the fact that US citizens were living in Mexico Texas, but after awhile started to view themselves independent of Mexico and it's laws. This in turn caused Santa Ana to take the military north and occupy the area. Once the Mexican Military showed up to enforce rules the US people in Texas started asking for the US to get involved. I know the Alamo played a huge role, but was the US citizens living in Mexico Texas and the US wanting to expand it's territory more the leading factor into why it was annexed?

I'm under the impression that the US citizens living in Mexico Texas got all upset about having to follow Mexico laws that they through a huge fit and helped push the USA over the edge on taking the land.

Any books on the subject that can be recommended I would greatly appreciate.

Thank you for your insight.

[For Hire] Detailed US Map with current territories with an overlay of acquired land, like the Louisiana Purchase and the Texas annexation.

I've been looking for a US territory and land acquisition map/poster for a long time but I can't seem to find one.

As stated I would like the US map to be detailed like this and overlayed with land acquisitions simular to this, except I would like a clear distinction between the original 13 colonies and the aditional land ceded by Great Britain in 1783, as well as including the annexation of Hawaii and the purchase of Alaska. Also I would like each state to have the date it entered the union under or over the state's name.

As for the current territories I want Puerto Rico, theΒ U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, theΒ Northern Mariana Islands, andΒ American Samoa and the dates the US acquired these territories above them.

I would like the map to be the standard poster size of 24 Γ— 36 inches and be horizontal.

I honesty have no idea how to price this but I was thinking of having it be under $100 but if it takes more effort I would be glad to raise the price if the work is warranted.

When is Texas supposed to offer themselves for annexation?

It's 1858 and I still haven't got an event or anything about Texas offering to be annexed. If I remember right in the game I played a few months ago they offered literally right after I helped them fight off mexico but nothing this time. If they don't do it soon I'm just going to invade because I need them to do Manifest Destiny.
