A list of puns related to "Stick Slip Phenomenon"
Hello, all! It's been more than a hop and a skip since I've last posted on this subreddit, but I am back, not with a new, but more a refreshed question that may spark discussion between our members. I brought a similar discussion point up, I believe almost a year or so ago, but I feel it deserves, with more eloquence, to be brought up at least one more time, as I feel this is something worth pondering over.
I'm sure many of you have at least heard of the claimed phenomena known as Time Slips. There are countless stories and tales going back centuries of people who, at one moment are going about their daily lives as normal, and the next, are either cast forward or backwards in time. They stay there for a small, but non-fixed amount of time, and then are promptly tossed back to their own time. Cases are spread out all over the world, from the U.K. with one such example being the many from Liverpool, more in specificity, Bold Street in Liverpool, to Europe with places such as the Palace of Versailles, to even the United States with a supposed case of a man spontaneously appearing in New York City, only to be killed by a passing automobile and during inspection of the body finding only coins and papers from almost a century prior. If you feel so inclined, you can do some research of your own on the many claims by people on the net.
Now, it is easy enough to simply discount these as either tall tales, or hallucinations. But, let's not be too hasty and remember that we are discussing a subject which many still claim to be fantasy, impossible and mental illness to believe is attainable to humanity. Just like many other facets of science once were. Now, history tells us that in cases where encounters are spread across such a long amount of time, in so many places, even if there are liars, they are still started by some grain of truth. So, how can we apply this here?
Well, first, let's say that there is a possibility that Time Slips, are indeed, a true phenomenon. Not of supernatural origins, as some claim them to be, but of an as yet unknown scientific origin. This would lead to two conclusions we could put forward. First, it proves that Time Travel is attainable for humanity, because of the second conclusion. Time Travel is a naturally occurring part of the universe. And if something is naturally occurring, then it can be replicated in an artificial manner, or harnessed to be used in an unnatural manner.
This also brings up several questions that would need

Is the main consideration, when it comes to lie, the type of curve?
Hi guys, I work in a call center as a customer service representative. This happened 3 years ago, but it still baffles my mind. Got a call from a customer complaining about his bill, and want to file a dispute. Usually bill disputes may take a while to be investigated (5 business days) so I advised the customer named Mr. Joe that i will call him back after 5 business days and saved his telephone number for the scheduled follow up.
So i called him back with the same telephone number, and i spoke to a woman, her name is Mary. I asked her if i can speak to Mr Joe to give him the good news that his bill dispute has been resolved and he will get the right amount of credits. Mrs Mary was shocked when i mentioned the name of Mr Joe. She said that WAS her husband, but she was shocked because she just informed me that her husband Mr Joe died 5 years ago... She admitted that she does have a bill dispute but doesnt have time to call because of her busy schedule. She thanked me about resolving the bill dispute even if she didnt called, but still baffled that Her husband died 5 years ago, made a phone call to file a bill dispute. She also told me that her husband is the one who always follow up with the bills...
Weird right?
I know a lot of people werenβt a huge fan of this comeback but Iβve loved all of their comebacks so far.
Not Shy still had a concept similar to their first 3 title tracks even though it wasnβt as blatant but it did kind of transition them into In the Morning. But either way their concept is still very teenage-esque. Mafia in the Morning is actually such a playful concept referencing the popular game and hopefully not the actual gang. But still, I think when Not Shy did pretty well as well Wannabe they kept pushing and pushing towards that concept of dark with rapping wtv Idk what to call it but you know what I mean, basically stray kids music.
Anyways Mafia in the Morning and the whole comeback MIGHT have been an overshoot but companies donβt get groups successful by playing it safe. Ok maybe sometimes it works but for Itzy they seem like theyβre looking to success in the long run. Iβd agree just by the popular reaction that Mafia in the Morning would be an βovershootβ as in they went too far into that concept for now. But hey, they have at least 8-10 comebacks maybe more left. This move to overshoot slightly is GREAT for their career.
Think of it this way, I play League of Legends but this concept applies to a lot of sports. Basically the concept of limit-testing applies here. Early on in your career its good to be extra risky about the concepts and songs so that you can learn what works, what doesnβt and get an overall feel of the demand. If you play safe continuously, youβll get better but at a much slower pace or maybe even fall off. Not have enough variety and you go the direction of Momoland which is fine but they never got anywhere near the top. Too much variety in concepts and you lose fans like CLC, still makes me sad as a cheshire...
Strike that perfect balance like Blackpink, Red Velvet, BTS, Seventeen and boom youβre a worldwide phenomenonz (ofc big 4 companies have a huge advantage but you get the point)
Growth isnβt linear, Wannabe struck a huge chord and to expect each comeback after to top that is simply unrealistic. Ups and downs are the only way to break barriers. The company is playing for 4D chess. Think of it, Red Velvet, Twice, and Blackpink are still dominating and if they want Itzy to be one of the top 3 if not the best theyβre going to have to play it slow. Mini album, mini album, mini album, concept change, concept change, concept change, but just enough so that you retain what you have but not too much that you lose all the

But the game eventually becomes unplayable, not because the puzzles themselves get harder, but because the pieces start falling much faster. The shorter the time limit for us to make a decision, the greater our chances of making a mistake, even if the decision itself is a fairly simple one.
On a similar vein, on the game show Family Feud, usually the funniest and stupidest answers come in two sections of the game: The face-off at the start of the round, and the "Fast Money" bonus round. The reason these are the two largest breeding grounds for dumb answers is because, in one, you're racing against your opponent, while in the other, you're racing against the clock. Once in a blue moon, you'll hear a dumb answer during the section of gameplay after the face-off (e.g. "Something around your house you might yell at if it stops working ... how 'bout your wife"), but it's much, much rarer when the contestant is able to actually THINK!
What's this phenomenon called?
I consider myself a rational person. Of course, most people would believe that of themselves, however objective they try to be. This is something that happened to me and a friend around eighteen years ago.
I was hanging out with him and his cousin in his new house. This was a somewhat busy area near to a major commercial center. At around 9 pm we decided to take a walk to a convenience store for food. His cousin decided to stay at the house. It took us 30 minutes to get to the store. There was a fair amount of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. On the way back we both started getting this really weird feeling. It's hard to describe now but both of our experiences matched up when discussing it later on. It felt like the air was much lighter. Thinner. The street seemed odd somehow. Out of place. All of a sudden there were no cars or people around. Everything went dead silent. This continued for a few minutes and we both started walking faster.
What freaks me out to this day and what I could never explain is this: Both our watches stopped working. My digital and his analog. His watch stopped at 9:41 pm. He was later able to get it fixed... mine was dead for good. When we got back to the house, it was minutes to 11 and his cousin was freaking out. We were gone for an hour longer than we were meant to. There was no way we could have taken that long to get back. If anything, we walked faster than we did getting to the store.
The reason I'm thinking about this incident now is because of another reddit post that asked about an unexplained event that happened to you. It's funny because it's something I usually don't like thinking or talking about. Neither does my friend for that matter.
Might be something like βdummy.β Iβve been trying to remember for months.
