A list of puns related to "Star Awards 2010"
As hard as it is to believe, Macklemore (the thrift shop guy) has had multiple albums out since he hit the mainstream, and at the risk of being biased theyre actually pretty good! Rumor is that theres another one on the way soon, so what better way (and time) to learn about him and his music than by joining the subreddit. Theres no obligation to post or comment, but we are looking to expand the userbase so that his music can have a greater reach and we can introduce a new audience to his lesser-known music. We are also looking to begin a weekly gold giveaway for posts discussing the curated song of the week! So what do you have to lose? Come stop by!
> Howard has a theory. His omission from the team released in October β which players, media, coaches and executives voted on and aimed to name the 75 best players since the leagueβs inception in 1946 as the Basketball Association of America β is more personal than hoops-inspired. > > βI canβt go back and do anything right now,β Howard said in a recent conversation with The Athletic. βBut at the time, I was kinda bitter to hear that I wasnβt on that list.β > > But Howard is on ours. He clocks in at No. 56 on The Athleticβs Top 75. > > He calls his exclusion from the leagueβs list βvery disrespectfulβ and comes armed with reasons why. > > βYou hear people say, βHe was only dominant for a couple of years.β I didnβt know eight years of being an All-Star, being dominant for eight years, was a couple of years,β he said. βI didnβt know winning three Defensive Player of the Year awards in a row, and it shouldβve been four, is something that is considered not good. > > βThereβs guys who donβt have those many accolades. Iβm the (youngest) player thatβs (reached) 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 all the way up to 9,000 rebounds. That doesnβt add up. So, where is the miscommunication? Where is the lie with my stats?β
>Howard reportedly stated a preferΠ΅nce to go to the NΠ΅ts. The Magic dΠ΅alt him to the Lakers, who were putting together a supΠ΅r team with KobΠ΅ Bryant, StΠ΅ve Nash and Pau Gasol.
>βMy intention when I first left Orlando was not to go to L.A., and the Magic knew that, but despite my wishes to go somewhere else, they sent me to L.A., which was one of the places at that time that I did not want to go. I felt like it would have made people feel as though I was trying to follow in somebody elseβs footsteps,β Howard said, a reference to Hall of Fame center Shaquille OβNeal, to whom a young Howard drew comparisons.
> Howard uses a 32-point, 30-rebound game he had during his one season in Charlotte, only the second 30-30 game in the NBA since 1982, to push against the critics. > >βTheir take even on the 30-30 game was, βWell, he couldβve been doing that every night if he just took the game seriously,ββ he said. βItβs like, it doesnβt make any sense. I did something that hasnβt been done β once in 35 years by Kevin Love.β
I have had this memory that I remember vividly because I was surprised as a young teen changing through the channels and seeing Arcade Fire be played on Nickelodeon? I remember there being a clock for the countdown of the KCA at the time, while Neighborhood #1, Wake Up and I think Rebellion (Lies). I was a huge fan at the time and I was stoked so I just let it play until it ended and had no idea why it happened.
That was 12 years ago holy shit, but since then I e-mailed Nickelodeon at the time, I even asked Anthony Fantano (was also a fan) if he saw. No knowledge or confirmation.
I looked into whether Nick ever played music videos but as far as I know that never happened around or before 2010.
Anyone know who else I can contact to see that? It is such a surreal memory in my mind but I know it happened.
My mom says she's seen a commercial for a fantasy movie on TV during the last years and the only thing she remembers is some sort of giant white thing on it, maybe some sort of giant yeti or a polar bear. She reminds her of Elizabeth Taylor because of her eyes, both in color, shape, and expression. The actress has black hair (so we can ignore all blonde, brunette or redhead actresses) and dark blue eyes. It's not Lindsay Lohan, and it's not a movie in the Marvel cinematic universe. She assumes she may be fairly young as the movie looked recent and she looked young, so she's probably in her late twenties or early thirties.
