A list of puns related to "Splash Mountain"
Was this even considered?! It would be PERFECT. The waterfall, all the animals, the tree!
Maybe it's because I'm not a Princess Frog fan, but... it sounds awful.
Pocahontas on the other hand would be absolutely perfect.
JUST AROUND THE RIVER BEND. Edit: I'm meaning just her and the animals and tree, no John Smith or anything. Her going down the river, then down the waterfall. If you can't picture that perfection in your head then idk what to tell you!
I went to Disney today and rode Splash Mountain multiple times. One of the times, I noticed that in the finale, the Swamp Boys and Brer Rabbitβs lyrics were out of sync with the music and it was really distracting. I told a cast member about it just wondering if they could pass it on to somebody else or just let them know, and I got the saddest response. She said βThey just stopped fixing our ride since itβs on its way out. We tell maintenance whatβs wrong and they pick and choose what to fix.β
This made me so incredibly sad. For one, it felt like direct confirmation that the ride is in a broken state not because of a lack of funds, not because of a lack of workers, but because they simply do not care enough to fix it. Iβd think that they would at least keep the rides components working for the little time it has left. Iβve been monitoring the status of splash closely since reopening, and while there have been things that have been repaired, really small things like the lights, swarming bees, and muffled voice boxes have been broken for months without being fixed. And now knowing that itβs broken because they choose what to fix and not fixing it because itβs broken, it all makes sense.
The other thing that made me sad was the way the cast member responded. She responded so bluntly and in an audibly upset manner. Like damn. It was so honest. Splash Mountain is my all time favorite ride. It got me into Disney, it gave me an appreciation for imagineering and animatronics, itβs my favorite soundtrack of the park by far, and itβs why I keep going back to Disney. So it really hurt to hear that the neglect is somewhat purposeful.
I swear they filled it with more water than usual. Iβm used to getting wet. But I was taking on a literal wave in my lap for every fall.
I couldnβt have gotten more wet if I had submerged myself in water.
I checked the Disneyland website for a January 2022 trip Iβm planning and noticed that Splash Mountain shows up as closed on Monday Jan 10th (no info available yet after the 10th) Is this part of annual maintenance or is the overhaul of Princess and the Frog starting?
I really liked splash mountain but I understand the desire to change it and I think adding a ride for the Disney princess Tiana would do so cool! I hope they do a bayou in Louisiana vibe like the movie! Any opinions?
Having done the parks before using VIP tours to avoid standing on lines, Iβm in love with the Genie/LL experience. Only on a VIP tour have I ever been able to accomplish all the thrill rides at MK by noon. And the price difference between Genie/LL and a VIP tour is drastic.
Yes I paid for LL on Space Mountain and on Seven Dwarves. $28 for 4 people on SM and $48 for 4 people for Seven Dwarves.
We did have a short waiting period during which I grabbed a booking for Ranger Spin so we didnβt waste time.
I know Genie and LL are getting a lot of hate. But I just wanted to give some positive feedback on it - because the overall experience today at MK was simply great. Our 2 friends who we brought for their first experience are in awe - and we simply wouldnβt have been able to provide them such an amazing time using the old fast pass system - as the LL wait times are essentially non-existent currently, and Iβve spent much more time waiting on a fast pass line.
If anyone has any questions - I am happy to answer.
Just wondering
Hi, I am a big fan of the splash mountain ride and Iβd like to know if anyone has any information on the planned but cancelled splash mountain, the only information we have is that it was dropped before the parks construction due to the cold weather in France in the winter. But was there any concept art? Any information on what area it was gonna be in? ( maybe a planned critter country? ) if anyone has anything to say about it, it would be appreciated, thanks.
Preface with I am not a hardcore Disney, AP Holder (Well, Key), but I'm no slouch. I have always LOVED Splash Mountain. Such a good theme, great ride, layout, etc. I am taken back to when they switched Tower of Terror to Guardians. I was not excited for that AT ALL. I thought they were going to "ruin" the ride or "take away the legacy" or whatever I thought. After I went on it, it's better than Tower of Terror. Two unpopular opinions in one! I'm excited to see the new re-theme, and as Walt said, "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."
Who are you to deny Walt?!
My daughter believes the lyrics are, βpretty good, shivers the bonesβ.
My son believes itβs βpretty good, show us your bonesβ.
And my wife says itβs βpretty good, sure as youβre bornβ.
I donβt know which one is right, but I will be singing βpretty good, shivers the bonesβ at the top of my lungs next time I ride Splash Mountain.
So I realized this upon my last visit, but the laughing place part is genius. On that second drop into the beehives, nobody expects how wet youβre gonna get, so naturally everybody comes out of that drop laughing their asses off at how wet they got. And then you literally go to βthe laughing placeβ, where Brer Rabbit is laughing and the music is all about finding a laughing place. Heβs also laughing right before the drop too, he knows what youβre in for.
Iβm sure this is common knowledge and intended but I thought it was really cool. Without fail, the many times Iβve ridden on it with a full log, everybody comes out laughing. I love it! Just one of the many reasons itβs my favorite ride in the park!
