Location/temp range/specific trip description: Will be backpacking all around Alaska. Expect daytime temps from the 50F to 75F and night time temperatures anywhere from 20F to 40F. Additionally, I hope to reuse this kit on the Arizona Trail going sobo in 2021.
Goal Baseweight (BPW): As low as can go. I'm not the lightest possible (I carry a kindle) as I prefer certain comforts, but I'm willing to push it.
Budget: Nothing in specific. I'm looking at spending about $300-$350 for a new quilt, and possible another ~$300 spent elsewhere if needed.
Non-negotiable Items: I love my backpack and puff and they can't go. I know the copper spur isn't the lightest, but I really like double walled tents. So unless theres a really good deal on a double walled tent, I'm keeping the copper spur. I do use the BA groundsheet, and I'd be willing to trade that out for durability and weight purposes.
Solo or with another person?: With another person. We'll be sharing the cooking items weight (pot and stove) and possibly splitting the tent.
Additional Information: I left out a t-shirt, as I'm looking into getting a sun hoody. Possible the Tropic Comfort? Any recommendations? I also left out a quilt, as I'm in the process of purchasing one, thinking the UGQ 10F 800FP.
