So, I've been scrolling through the subreddit and it seems as though this album is very unpopular among fans, although the way I see it, its their best album alongside Waking The Fallen. I feel as though this album doesn't get alot of or enough love from the community . But opinions are opinions, mine will be different from some people's, and vice versa.
Definitely an underrated album. Sure it took some getting used to coming from avenged's cleaner sounding stuff, but overall very solid. All Ive been listening to this week.
What do you think about this album?
Despite his reputation, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet is by far my favourite album from Ax7. I really enjoy the rawness and the screams.
Do you have a recommendation of albums (they can be underground or newer artists) that sounds like StST?
So for the past week I have been non stop listening through STST, I’ve listened to the album before but I’ve never LISTENED to the album. I saw someone post about STST on here earlier in the week and I agree it’s very underrated. 💀🤘🏻

I love STST, I understand alot of people don't like it, which is fine its not for everyone, but it has some fans. I personally think it would be really cool to hear them redo the album with clean vocals, be a pretty cool take on it in my opinion, or remaster the mixing and tracks, or they just redo the songs entirely, like a full remaster. If I'm correct then Zacky wrote most of the guitar parts, and they are amazing, but imagine one of Syn's iconic solos (I mean just imagine another Syn solo in general) on the album. Maybe they get together and just did a album cover on camera and then posted it like one of those youtube album covers you see.
IDK, so many possibilities and I just wish they would do something, but I know they most likely won't. Can still dream

I sure am, I think it is hands down by far the best album art they've ever had and I missed the 2019 merch drop so I'm really hoping we get more with the art on it.

What I see as a really raw sounding and fun album, other people just see it as bad. It really just feels like the a7x was all hanging out and having a great time, and the Rev doing all the drum tracks in one take just adds to it. It is in my top 3 favorite albums of all time for sure. Can we get a little respect for it maybe????

I'll just preface by saying that I'm not exactly a big fan of this album, it's just too screamy for my taste. However I think its necessary to include every album released by A7X, not just the great ones.

Edit: I enjoy Waking The Fallen quite a lot.
What an underrated album. Definitely took me a while to get into though. The drumming is just insane, and definitely way better than Waking the Fallen's. Also, for a production budget of $2000, it sounds pretty good. Whoever didn't listen to STST should definitely give it a chance.
