A list of puns related to "Song Sung Blue"
I start. Shotgun - TIX๐ณ๐ด (although I don't understand Norwegian, the funkiness blew my mind and I absolutely love it!) https://youtu.be/uZiiLs5WvuM
Feel the Love - Daรฐi Freyr๐ฎ๐ธ (pop tune. Kinda a bit different taste from think about things and 10 years, still fun to vibe with) https://youtu.be/2Ujj03vQTjI
La La Love - Eden Alene ๐ฎ๐ฑ (her powerful voice is here too! Besides the video is cute and pop) https://youtu.be/UdzhlaEssKY
Let's share these stuff and keep appreciating the artists!
It's region locked to Japan I think so either I or Youtube deleted it from my playlist but I'd like to find it again.
Idk if this will help or make it worse but this song by Rick Rack really reminds me of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Am7wgvW_ZYE&list=TLPQMTcwMTIwMjExNC-5rBowEQ&index=12&ab_channel=shadowdrifter4 which is why I suddenly remembered it.
I can't remember any lyrics but will edit if I do :(
This song is a Chicago-style blues from either the '80s or '90s (think Alligator Records), and it a slow-style music. The majority of it is somewhat spoken by the female singer, describing her husband ignoring her during an elaborate breakfast. At the end the vocalist sings "I'm so glad, baby, that you're finally out of my life!"
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
It's a FINNISH HYMN
I heard this song on the radio about two months ago. I had just walked into a store and I heard the chorus, I tried Googling it multiple times to hear the full thing, but it was never the right song. It repeated the phrase "I Am," though I forget if it also has the word "and" during the chorus as well. Sorry this isn't a lot to go on.
All I can remember is brief scenes that were indoors with plastic looking props, maybe blue and pink? And I think I remember a woman and either puppets or people in suits playing the characters. The main thing that sticks in my head is that they sang โsong sung blueโ by Neil Diamond, Iโm absolutely sure of that part. I was quite young and saw it on videotape so it was probably late 90s or early 2000s. Any help is appreciated!!
EDIT: Much to my surprise, it appears that I am not alone in this! I thought I was going to get the Big Ban from r/books for this one! /s
EDIT 2: DEATH TO SONGS!!!
Some genres e.g. fantasy predominantly feature characters who recite songs/lyrics. For whatever reason (despite being a lover of music), I can never bring myself to read these sections of books. If the song is 4 lines, sure, I'll read it. But if a character is crooning at length for pages and pages, forget it.
Despite this pitfall in my own reading, I have yet to encounter a situation where omitting these parts has hindered my understand of plot threads and the story at large.
How does r/books feel about this? Is this blasphemy? Am I a leper in the community?
I love Sung Tongs. I love how it uses acoustic guitars in such a unique and creative way, and I love the vocal style and use of percussion. But I feel like the last 3 songs have a significant drop in quality. Itโs like they abandoned all of the things that made the rest of the album so great. Itโs really disappointing to me because it had potential to be a 10, but I have a hard time rating it above an 8 because of the ending. Anyone else feel similarly?
as the title suggests, I barely remember anything of the song, except that I used to really like it. I am pretty sure the title has the word "winter" in it. the singer sounds like a man, and the title and lyrics were something about winter and or season/season change, as a metaphor for a depressive episode. from what it seemed like, it was by an artist, rather than a band. based on my limited knowledge about it, I think the genre of the song is alternative/indie? maybe pop? I'm not sure, I don't know a lot about music genres. the overall theme/vibe of the song was kinda slow and sad. I'm pretty sure the instruments used were guitar/ukulele and/or piano. from what I remember, it's a type of song people would make guitar covers off. if it helps, I think I found the song in 2019 or 2020. and I think the cover art was brown, but that could be wrong because again, I basically don't remember the song. I know this description is very vague, but I genuinely don't remember anything else about it other than this, and I would love to listen to it again. thanks in advance for any suggestions/help
edit: seriously, thanks everyone for all the suggestions. none of them have been right so far, but at least i have a few more songs in my playlist now xD
also, now that i think about it, the title may be something about "december" (or the lyrics in general) but once again, i dont remember
edit: unfortunately, i dont think im gonna find the song i was thinking about, but i appreciate everyone who tried to help, thx again :))
God I listened to it earlier this week at work but I couldn't check my phone at the time to like it on Spotify. It was a drum and bass song. Kinda chill-ish. The lyrics of some parts were I think "I remember you said you loved me, I remember I said I loved you" or "you say you loved me, I say I loved you", sing by a woman. Then, she breaks out into some sorta rap like Japanese part, where the song kinda sounds trap-ish.
Idk if I'll be able to find it but if someone can please link me to a song if it sounds like along the lines of this. I'm not fluent in the Japanese language but I just know one part was na (t)suki or ga (t)suki.
The voice of the guy was somewhat high pitched and airy, and there isn't much background sound during this part of the chorus. The lyrics mentioned in the title were repeated in groups like this:
Ex. "Hold me, hold me" other lyrics "kiss me, kiss me" other lyrics
I heard this song in a highway gas station recently and I remember hearing it in the car of a friend of mine last year, so It's driving me insane that I can't remember it.
It had the line โLie down and sleep, sleep well my darling, blue is the eye that looks after thee.โ
Update: found a live recording https://youtu.be/WJANIIeClOs
I donโt think they are an obscure band. It has an ethereal, eternal love feel about it. Hard to track down a year. I remember hearing it prior to 2002, and had a feeling it wasnโt an โoldโ song, so say 1985-2000 to be very generous. I live in Australia, but it could be from anywhere. I canโt even hum it ๐ฉ. I know itโs not a lot. Hoping that someone might have some good suggestions. I might find some new songs I like! Please ask any questions that might help find it or jog a memory.
Idk how many people know about this, but itโs true. Itโs split into 4 mini albums, 13 songs each. There are songs from Ace, Garp, Mihawk, Shanks, Perona, all the Straw-hats, Akainu, Kizaru, Bartholomew, and the list goes on. Itโs absolutely insane how I had no idea this existed. My personal favourite is โKatanaโ by Zoro, where he goes โWadooo Ichimonjiiiiiiโ (He literally just sings about his swords) And Shanks is just Shanks, on a good beat. I have a link for a youtube playlist consisting of MOST of the songs, but i wouldnโt recommend it as it doesnโt seem very reliable. I did find download links for all 4 parts, and got them downloaded, which i feel really guilty about but they arenโt on Spotify or Apple Music, and if i wanted to pay for the albums, it would cost me about $500 (someone calculated that amount on a post from about 5 years ago, possibly even higher now) (I really have no clue if the average One Piece fan knows this, so please donโt flame me in the comment section for stating something that everyone already knows)
There was this "blessings on the blossoms" song that my sister taught my niece but it was taught to them by a school with questionable theology, thanking nature for the food. I don't want that.
Currently Imagination Blind is my favorite Dino song sung by Lou. I'm curious what your favorite is.
Are they internal dialogues that are being shown outwardly, or is the character actually singing to themselves?
What about songs sung by multiple characters? Do they hear each other singing? Is is just a conversation between them, but being shown as a song?
