A list of puns related to "Socio Economics"
THEORY 2: Those individuals involved in gangstalking are future apparatchiks being groomed for high-level positions in the govt. and corporations. Afterall, by being intimately involved in the program, you are demonstrating your willingness to comply to unethical demands, and these individuals have compromising material on you.
If they do what is directed to them, they will be accepted to their dream school, have high-level posts in lucrative careers and institutions. If they refuse, they will be blacklisted or exposed.
Hi guys! Been a long time member and it's my first post here. I'm working on an academic survey correlating the effects of e-cigarette use based on age and assessing it as a gateway drug to forms of tobacco. The target demographic is residents of Mumbai however feel free to fill the survey even if you don't live in Mumbai, I can filter the responses. The survey is anonymous and you won't be contacted further after you submit it, unless you dm me on reddit of course. It will take approximately 2-5 minutes to fill the survey in.
Since, all of you r/pakistan users seem to be really smart and politically aware I was curious about which socioeconomic class all of you belong to. I also see a lot of atheists here too and I haven't seen one in real life. Have had friends who were extremely liberal but not irreligious completely. So, I was curious.
Please don't be modest or extravagant when answering.
Here is what I mean by each of these categories:-
Upper Class: Extremely rich, strong familial ties to people in positions of power or maybe your family is in positions of power, normal Pakistani problems don't concern your lifestyle at all, you may be living in your own little utopia with internal issues/problems, you recieved education in one of the top private schools here or maybe abroad, ETC. You get the gist. I personally think people from here are too ignorant and caught up with their lifestyle to be an active user on reddit save a few exceptions of course.
Upper Middle Class: Your parents are highly educated, your lifestyle is still pretty extravagant compared to most Pakistanis, maybe the inflation effects you maybe it doesn't. This is a broader class.
Lower Middle Class: Your parents can still be highly educated but not being paid what they are worth for here. Inflation and price hikes effect you to a great extent. You get the gist. I think a lot of Pakistanis mistakenly refer to this class as 'middle class.'
I think this sub would be concentrated from people with these 2 classes (upper and lower middle class).
Working Class: Life is getting increasingly difficult for you due to inflation. Necessities in life are hard to come by. Your parents may or may not have had good education. Mostly people here rely on manual labour for income but with Pakistan's economy even some desk jobs would belong in this category. I doubt most people from here would be on reddit anyways.
Feel free to correct me below. I know I missed Lower Class but its pointless because no way people from there are going to be on reddit.
Also added the see results option for curious lurkers.
I do not condone classism and am very critical of it but the fact of the matter is, each of these classes live very different realities.
This is for people who want to change the system (in an egalitarian way) but are against democracy.
If you want to change the system (in a peaceful, egalitarian way), then what is the purpose of debating and convincing average people of your system? Socio-economic and socio-political systems are not products which can be bought in the marketplace, so it is not as if you are advertising a product. For many of you, the product hasn't even been created.
Socio-economic and socio-political systems can be established through revolution, sure, but a lot of you guys here are against that kind of revolution, so I doubt that you intend to recruit.
Are you not debating and convincing the people (demos) on the assumption that they actually have power (Kratia) to change the system if you convince enough of them?
If you are for some kind of system change, then unless you are trying to recruit people for some kind of future revolution, you are debating and convincing people on the assumption that we have some kind of democratic system or that we live under democratic norms.
Democracy is the only reason here that there is some kind of reasonable expectation that debate might create actual systems change (change which is, again, peaceful and egalitarian). And it is through having more democracy (more direct, more participatory, perhaps more decentralized) that these kinds of debates become more effective and worth while.
Otherwise you would not be debating average people, you would be trying to convince whoever is the most powerful , elite group in the polity (because they can change the system). Either that or you would leave the polity and establish some kind of irrelevant micronation somewhere.
Well, the question pretty much explains what I had to ask. Although I'm expecting some funny answers cuz literally everyone claims to be they're middle class. No one or at least the majority never acknowledges their privilege.
Where do most Sri Lankan sit in the groups?
P.S. English is my 3rd language, so sorry for mistakes
Many Redditors here point to S2 and complain about the pay-off. "S2 became meaningless because nobody was taken away" / "What was the point of season 2 if Kendall lost" etc.
BUT THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT. This show is like real life. They are rich, so they are not going to face justice. In real life, so many times, we seek justice after hearing rich people's horrible actions. Every time we think, ah gotcha, but then they slip away easily, because this is life and the system is rigged. Of course, THE BEAST THAT IS LOGAN is not going to be thrown away because of the boat "accidents". Because this is the capitalist system, as long as you bring us money you are good. That's it. He is going to win again and again
Was in an area of my city that is known for very low rent yesterday and I immediately noticed more people with lots of tattoos, extreme hair styles, clothes that show an affinity to a particular movement, sports team, music group etc. Why?
This is something I've noticed a few times, the disconnect I note between a lot of Redditors and Twiter users I see on here, versus what I encounter with poor or lower earning working class people IRL. It's led me to believe that there is essentially a parallel society that exists between the poor/lower middle class, and the upper middle-to-wealthier classes, namely in cultural expectations, mindset, and the age in which they begin to take on certain roles within their greater social peer group.
With the latter I notice middle class to upper class people tend to prolong taking on adult roles and responsibilities much later than poorer adolescents and young adults, and that tends to inform their worldview on how they see themselves and how they interact with people younger and older. I notice middle class people tend to be somewhat more atomized by age than poorer people, which makes logical sense, if you're a relatively taken care of adolescent, who goes to college paid for by either your family or through student loans, go from undergrad to post-grad level, begin taking internships, start off as the lower ring of a white collar job, and (attempt to) move up the latter, there's a much more clear social stratification.
I think in contrast to the middle-to-higher classes, poor people tend to live a lifestyle that necessitates a more egalitarian social pool of different ages (and depending on where you live, ethnicities and nationalities) if you'reall working the same job together or experiencing certain aspects of poverty together. It's not uncommon to see even upper middle aged or elderly people working alongside middle aged, young adult and adolescent people to mingle with them more. I'll be on break or clocking out and see a 60 year old man, a 44 year old man and a 17 year old smoking cigarettes together talking about something that happened at the liquor store or grocery store 2 years ago. In contrast, when I see a lot of people on Twitter, Reddit and Discord, I find them (particularly young adults) to have relatively immature views on interacting with other age groups of people, while even middle aged yuppie folk will rarely consider lowering themselves in their mind, to speak and interact with younger people in more than basic courteosy (which is fair enough again, given the education and cultural gaps that exist in the middle class and above).
There's a certain egalitarianism that poverty breeds that I feel is often overlooked. You may have whate
... keep reading on reddit β‘I am genuinely curious as to why people support the party. Bonus question: would you ever change your party loyalty?
