A list of puns related to "Smodcast"
I could barely make it through. I think a lot of people pointed out Kev's overbearing demeanor in these episodes, so I won't belabor that point. I will saw this, the only thing that kept me going through the video was the glances that Walt and Q made to each other when Kev would say something dumb.
Kev just seems out of touch with his friends. The guys have their own inside jokes that he doesn't get, and he is no longer the most interesting person at the table.
I know I am a few episodes behind, but 'd love to discuss this with anyone else.
Been a fan of TESD for a bit over six years now, but have never really listened to smod all that much. I love the episodes with kevin on, as i think theyre some of the funniest (aside from the recent TESD-smod crossover, shoot me) and was thinking of buying access to the archive cause you know, its five bucks. Are there any smod eps that are on the level of makin hay as definitive smod eps, be it with or without bryan and walt?
Hey Everyone
Update to say we just "filmed" episode 3.
My apologies to Cooper Pedy, brain damage. (That will make sense to like 1 person).
As always, feel free to ask any questions.
Cheers,
John.
These episodes are SMod #289 and TESD #191 from 2014. Itβs just Walt, Bry and Kev and it is hilarious. Has some great conversation and banter amongst the guys. A key point is where they read up on the history of Dennis the Menace and some other crappy comic characters and make fun of them. They also discuss Making Clay as the Kickstarter had just launched. I bring this up as a remedy to the crappy recent episodes featuring Kev. I replay these episodes on a pretty regular basis.
At least I think it was a SModcastβ¦
Kevin and Scott are talking about Shecky making noise. Kevin, of course, screams βSHECKY!!!β and then they discuss that, and he says something like, βI never do that when the phone rings. PHONE!!!β
Anyone have a clue which episode this was?
Listen to 440: Retell βEm, Steve-Dave, Part 1 of 3 by SModcast on #SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/smodcast/440-retell-em-steve-dave-part-1-of-3?p=a&c=0&utm_source=other&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
Itβs where Mosier tells Kevin about the book Unbroken, telling him itβs a very smodcast book cause itβs got sharks and Nazis. I think it was one of the live episodes.
It's a similair deal where Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier pitch this crazy horror flick on a podcast and sure enough it got made. Not only that, it's a must see for horror fans IMO, I'd consider it a cult classic and I've never listened to a single smodcast episode so I imagine Fatstronauts could easily reach wide audiences
Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone has episodes 398-423 that I could download. I canβt find them anywhere since they were all archived & those are the only ones I havenβt listened to... thanks
I can't seem to view any on the official websites. :( There are just links to Scott's and Kev's Twitter, FB, etc.

Like most of you, I got to TESD through SModcast. And like many, I consider the Emo Kev episodes to be classic must-listens. Last month Kevin unearthed some old journals and he & Mosier picked them apart Emo Kev style. It's a pretty good listen, figured I'd share:

Is smodcast his biggest podcost,? What are is other podcasts that you'd recommend? What's next after the reboot? (Which is just saw and it had its moments it won't ever be a cult for me, where the rest will be).
Things I've seen, clerks, mall rats, chasing Amy, clerks 2, Jay and silent Bob strike back, dogma, thejnsbreboot. Anything else? I'm missing? Any must watches? Thanks
Does anyone have episodes of smodcast or Jay and silent bob get old?
There's an old SModcast where Kevin Smith is describing the fan reaction to something prequel related and he says the phrase, "They're shitting in our mouths!" It was a really funny moment/discussion related to Star Wars, George Lucas, and fan reactions. I believe it was long before the sequel trilogy, so sometime before 2014. Does anyone remember the episode?
Did I dream this or did I listen to a Smod a while back that had Walt and his Wife on and they were talking about when Kev asked Walt to run the Stash but he wasn't sure, and his wife was saying that Kev could come and go as he pleased but they needed to be sure that the job was going to be secure...
Good to hear the boys back together, but gotta admitt, that wasn't a strong episode. More like a "Recap od 2019, shit that Kev did"
That Jedi master of funny just doesn't string enough of his appearances together...
Does anyone know which episode Kevin and Scott discuss the guy who stole millions of dollars in McDonalds monopoly game pull-offs? Iβve been wanting to re-listen to it after watching the premiere of HBOs Mcmillions.
Im wondering if someone has made a smodcast omnibus/archive like the one for TESD. I want to re-listen to the old episodes but dont know where to find them
Say what you want about Ming put thatβs pretty neat.
Just realized today that TESD is at 425 and smodcast is 422. The king is dead, long live the king.
If this is a question people are sick of seeing I apologize. Also is there a database somewhere that you can look up specific stuff and it tells you all the episodes? For instance search Brian Johnson and it gives you every episode he was on. I swear I found one once but I lost the link.
Got an email saying it is leaving Stitcher Premium on Monday. Anyone heard any other details?
I remember Q mentioning it in passing, but I donβt remember them actually talking about it.
Looking for episode numbers. Any help?
Pretty cool. Technically they've done more episodes than SModcast if you count bonus TESD stuff but not numbered episodes. That will soon change. The SModcast spinoff is about to surpass the original. Which is crazy because SModcast had a 3 year head start on TESD.
https://www.smodcast.com/podcasts
TESD isnt listed anymore for some reason. You can still get to the pods by typing in the address, I know because I had TESD bookmarked, but there is no way to find the pod from Smodcast.com.
I listen to smodcast a lot on the subway and if the episode it really good I have to shut it off because I look like a madman trying to hold in my laughter. Right now Iβm at an internship but we donβt really start working until 9:30, and I came in early. So I listened to the rest of 366: Goodnight sweet princess, which was very emotional and heartwarming, so not too much laughing there, and started up episode 341: centaurs in the blue zone. I couldnβt make it 9 minutes in without breaking into hysterical laughter in front of some coworkers while trying my best to cover my face and hold it in. Does anyone else have this problem?
Several years back Kevin talked about how Smodcast was his life. They started SIR, Kev got a tattoo βIn SMod I trustβ. There were tons of podcasts to choose from. Then it all contracted inwards and things got confusing: the daily SIR pods stopped, then several podcasts as a whole stopped being made period, old eps moved to stitcher, some pods moved to youtube(?), losing Scott to work on the Grinch for so long, they announced all current pods would be consolidated to the main Smodcast stream - but yet, almost as soon as this was announced, theyβve dropped to a trickle?
Thereβs been so little word on whatβs been happening with the podcast network, and Iβve been wondering for a year and a half what has been going on. Is the era of Smodcast over? At one time it was my favorite podcast, and I subscribed to multiple pods from the network. Will it ever return to weekly chats with Scott? Is edumacation going to return, and if so, will it be in its old format? Will Talk Salad ever continue? What is babblevision and what happened to calling it Hollywood Babble On?
I also know Kev has been working on the Reboot movie, but the decline of Smodcast predates that from what I recall.
So buried at the end of the Anna Farris SModcast episode around the 2:05 mark, Kev reveals that starting Feb 5, they're going to rebrand and re-organize all of his various SMod podcasts into a single podcast stream. Each podcast will still be its own podcast, but new episodes will drop under the SModcast feed, e.g. SModcast: Hollywood Babylon ###, SModcast: SModcast ###, SModcast: Fatman and Beyond ###. He doesn't make it clear if the other non-Kevin podcasts such as TESD or FEAB will be included in this change. He mentions it's been 12 years of SModcasts this year on Feb 5.
In SModcast 89 Kev and Mos discuss a thread on the old View Askew message boards where people made SModcast inspired art. I started listening to SModcast way after they came out and now that thread is long gone. Are there any archives of that artwork though? Iβd love to see it.
