The first typewriter to be commercially successful was invented in 1868 by Americans Christopher Latham Sholes, Carlos Glidden and Samuel W. Soule in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, although Sholes soon disowned the machine and refused to use, or even to recommend it.

TIL That the inventor of the QWERTY keyboard, Christopher Latham Sholes, actually designed it to be slow and inefficient. As his original alphabetical layout caused jamming of the typewriter due to the quick access of vowels. More efficient keyboards never caught on due to the popularity of QWERTY.

I didn't know this a*shole can actually be killed in this form! Wasn't an easy fight that early in the game (ritual investigation). Killing him took like 10 fireballs, 30 stabs with a sabre, and 5 health potions. He used no magic, but his unarmed attacks were pretty damaging!
