A list of puns related to "Sharon, Vermont"
My sister, who is reading the CES Letter on my recommendation, asked me the following question:
>Why does the CES Letter say that the Book of Mormon was published in Sharon, Vermont Sharon (Windsor County)? I thought it was published in Palmyra, New York, according to church history and the Book of Mormon title page.
See: https://read.cesletter.org/bom/#view-of-the-hebrews
She's asking more out of curiosity, not trying to discredit the CES Letter or say it has a mistake. Any insight would be much appreciated.

> Hall, a former Mormon bishop, told a regional planning commission in Woodstock last week that he wants to apply Smith's land use blueprint to the Vermont landscape.
> Hall met virulent opposition from several residents at a meeting with the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Planning Commission held Thursday as part of a three-day public relations swing through the Upper Valley orchestrated by Kevin Ellis, a lobbyist with Ellis-Mills.
> Speth later said it appeared Hall was making the project sound as though it was way out in the future "In order to lull people into thinking that this is a remote thing that's not going to happen when you seem to be moving as fast as you can." He pointed to Hall's hiring of Ellis, the land purchases and discussions with political leaders as evidence that the project is "Going full steam ahead." Hall has hired six contractors in the region to negotiate land purchases and address legal, accounting and permitting issues.
> Though Hall has served twice as a bishop in the Mormon church - once for a three-year stint overseeing 300 young people between the ages 18 and 30, and for a five-year period providing guidance for the same number of people in his local neighborhood - he said he was uncomfortable with the role.
> The corporation has a nesting doll structure with three different interrelated entities, including The NewVista Trust, NewVista Property Holdings, LLC, and NewVista Capital, LLC. The trust owns the assets of the company, the holdings group provides goods and services to NewVista businesses, and the capital group has a corporate structure with a CEO, CFO, COO and a culture-education presidency that oversees vocational training and all primary, secondary and higher education.
> Rep. Jim Masland, D-Thetford, who at the planning commission meeting grilled Hall on the land-use and governance structure of the community, said NewVistas appears to be based on the teachings of Joseph Smith, and the community Hall is proposing, isn't a community at all, but a corporation in which trustees direct what happens, and people who don't feel comfortable can be asked to leave.

... keep reading on reddit โกHi, folks!
I used to live in northern VT, moved away for work, and now (typical yuppie work-from-home story) find myself able and wanting to move back. My partner and I are looking at either Brattleboro or the Woodstock area for easy access to 89/91 (and proximity to family/friends in NH & MA). Basically, I don't want to go too far into the boonies.
That said, I haven't spent a ton of time in these areas - would love some more input and conversation!
My impression is that Woodstock is quieter, prettier, sleepier, and maybe a little bougie. Whereas Brattleboro has a bit more going on culturally but isn't as picturesque.
Would you agree with that perception? Anything else to consider about these areas? Or other parts of the state you'd recommend? Things that would be considered a plus: a cute downtown, some artsy/quirky vibes, proximity to hiking, skiing, and/or climbing, and civilization within reasonable driving distance (for things like an airport, hospital, etc.). I also want to be somewhere people actually LIVE to make friends with neighbors - not just in a ski town full of second homes.
Thanks in advance! :)
I am planning on getting FTN top surgery. I've done some research on doctors in the area, but could use some advice. I'm in the consultation phase now that I have most of my paperwork straightened out.
I'm working with the WashU plastic & reconstructive surgery transgender center. My 2 options are Dr. Rachel Anolik and Dr. Joani Christensen. I haven't been able to find any online reviews. Anyone have any info on either doc? DM me if not comfortable posting.
EDIT: I'm looking for info no matter what type of surgery you might have had with them.

... keep reading on reddit โกToday is my birthday. Iโm turning twenty-six. Which I guess is a strange age. I wouldnโt know. Maybe every age is strange, bringing with it its own expectations and uncertainties. Questions like -- Am I far along enough in my life? Or -- Should I be meeting someone nice and starting the process of settling down? Or -- Do I need a new car that better represents me?
These arenโt the questions I ask myself. I try to not think about where I am in my life relative to anything. I block out my birthday. I havenโt celebrated it since I turned sixteen. Thatโs the night when everyone who mattered to me was murdered.
The wind is gusting hard and something is rattling against the window of my twenty-fifth floor apartment. I look out and up through the tall glass in my living room to see what it is. The window cleaning crew left their scaffolding. A cord is dangling down, clacking against my window as the wind flings it from side to side.
Staring out into the night from a high rise that sits well above the surrounding city can feel a lot like staring into a murky ocean. You start to see things. Shadows and shapes. I always believed that if you gazed into the abyss long enough and imagined something very clearly, that thing would appear. If you look into the underwater depths and imagine a giant squid or a great white for a while, you will summon one to you.
If I stare into the darkness for a long time, can I draw him back out to find me? I think so.
Thatโs why weโre here. Thatโs why Iโm having this birthday party.
โAre you ready to start?โ Agnes Raimey asks me.
I donโt answer her. I want to make her wait a little longer. Iโve made her wait years for this interview. Whatโs a few more minutes to really soak it in and build the anticipation? As soon as we talk about that night, things are going to come out.
I know Agnes isnโt the killer -- sheโs too weak and status-driven. Feline. Sheโs very calculated in a way that serves her ego, and sheโs made a success out of herself. Off of my tragedy really, but whoโs to blame her. Her drive isnโt brutal. Blood doesnโt stain her hands. She just wants to be rich and internet famous like the rest of us.
When I turn to Agnes I can see that sheโs laid a digital recorder out on my coffee table. Sheโs holding a wireless microphone and gesturing for me to come to her. Fuck it. Itโs go time. Letโs talk about the massacre. Letโs get it all out. Letโs dig and probe the bloodshed. Letโs find out how human and flawed all of the

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
They were cooked in Greece.
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies ๐
It really does, I swear!

but then I remembered it was ground this morning.
Edit: Thank you guys for the awards, they're much nicer than the cardboard sleeve I've been using and reassures me that my jokes aren't stale
Edit 2: I have already been made aware that Men In Black 3 has told a version of this joke before. If the joke is not new to you, please enjoy any of the single origin puns in the comments
