Hey this seems like a really cool place, I love seeing how active all the community and activity threads are. I'm still trying to figure out reddit and how to add a wishlist but I think I can get there! I'm not the most technologically adept.
Neat things about me: my first university degree was in Classical Languages with a focus on Latin literature. Very very useful and practical! I'm also a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which I feel was truly the bellwether show that kicked off our current renaissance of amazing high production-value television shows. I am currently working on a cross stitch portrait of Bob Ross for my little sister with whom I watched way too much of his show as a kid!
Anyway, looking forward to make friends and being generous on here in future ;)
Hi y’all! I recently moved to Lexington. I have been knitting and crocheting for over 10 years now and I am wanting to teach others to knit and crochet as well! If anyone is interested please direct message me. I charge $15-$20 dollars for a 30 minute lesson depending on skill level. $30-$40 for hour lessons again depending on skill level.
EDIT: Turns out a lot of you were interested in starting a new group which I was NOT expecting! Initial meetup is planned for Sunday at 5pm at Lucky's. I think they have community meeting rooms we can use, but we can meet in the cafe area initially. I'll be the one wearing the Star Wars sweatshirt. Hoping to turn it into a biweekly or monthly meetup so if you can't make it but want to be kept in the loop for future meetups, definitely let me know :)

Hello! It doesn't seem like there's much happening on meetup.com or facebook these days in regards to crafting... so I wanted to check here to see if anything like this already exists, and if not, I thought I'd gauge interest and see if it's worth starting up a new group for anyone interested in getting together to socialize and get yo craft on!
I'm primarily a knitter but would also love to expand my knowledge in other crafty areas and help others do the same. I wouldn't want to limit the craft category as far as this group would be concerned, though - if you can work on it, you can bring it. Maybe I'll get the added bonus of this keeping me accountable since my most recent WIP has taken more than two years for me to complete.... :P
Other than that, I haven't really put much thought behind how this would be organized... but lemme know if something like this is out there already or if any of you want to help start one up, you crafty bastards.
I would love to learn how to knit and sew! Was just wondering if there were any clubs out there that I can be a part of?
I would love to turn wool drops into yarn and use berries or fruits to dye them particular colors and then knit stuff to either wear or sell.
If one doesn't exist, I am an amateur sprite artist and I could probably help with putting together some missing assets (spinning wheel, yarn shanks, etc).
Does anyone know of any place I could go in Canberra to get a small piece of clothing made, either out of cloth or knitted.
I have a small stuffed toy that is missing it's shirt and I am looking for a service where I can get a shirt made for it.
I am after somewhere that I can give specifications of what I want (and a photo/colour choice) and get them to make it for me. Either from cloth sewing or knitting something.
Any help appreciated thanks.
Hi! My name is Paulien and I’m a student from Belgium. Together with four other students at the Artevelde University College Ghent are we investigating the experience of sewing and stitching in Denmark for our theses. We have been instructed by Fibre Mood. The Fibre Mood team guarantees the customer that the answers and data of the survey are anonymous and will only be used for the optimization of Fibre Mood and that data will not be used for any other purposes. Anyone who fills out this survey will receive a code as a reward (if he/she wishes). With this code you can choose a sewing template (for free!) from the webshop. Thank you for your cooperation.
This survey will take maximum 5 minutes of your time.
Thank you very much!
