Bore da, and thank you for coming at such an early notice. No one really had any idea when the Government was going to publish their PfG and we in Plaid Cymru truly believed we were gonna have to wait another week seeing the slow progress the Governmetn has made on it. But we were, to everyone's relief, incorrect and I'm happy to see that the Senedd can finally return to legislating.
I've already given my statement on the Government's PfG, and you could've heard it earlier in the Siambr. As to not repeat myself, you can read it on the Senedd records of proceedings.
Last week I made a statement on the re-election of a WLA First Minister and the continuation of the Daffodil government. In it, I presented some of Plaid Cymru's pledges for the rest of the term and announced a Programme for Opposition was in the making as to present a real alternative to the work of the Government. We've noticed that for the last two months, Plaid Cymru along her friends in the opposition has basically been the Government. Pumping out legislation and being at leas two times as active as the WLA or the Tories. So if we're already going to be the de-facto Government, we need to have our own PfG, something to offer to the people. And that's exactly what we've done through our Programme for Opposition. We've set forth our priorities for the next 3 months and our Shadow Cabinet. Priorities such as our Ecofest line of legislation, reiteration of our 2040 IndyWales pledge and how we plan to achieve it, as well as other policies on economic growth, devolution etc. You can find the PfO on our website, and the press who are present here this morning will get a free paperback copy made from recycled paper.
