A list of puns related to "Scarlet Records"
Adam Korsak is the one true punt god.
Under my preferences/device I have audio system ASIO, ASIO Drive as Focusrite USB ASIO. I have enable inputs clicked. I just dont get it. When I record I select Mono Input 2, where my guitar is plugged into, but Ive tried every combo for that. Please help this is incredibly frustrating.
Hello everyone!
I've been a guitarist for many years but I've never had an electric guitar. I wanted to buy an electric guitar to play in my apartment without using an amp (so as not to disturb my neighbors). I have a Scarlet 2i2 3rd gen audio interface on which I will be able to plug my guitar. The feedback of the audio interface has no latency but I read on the internet that it only records the "dry" sound of the guitar. I would have liked to use a software like ableton live 10 to add effects to my guitar and be able to listen to the result live without latency. My computer is equipped with an i7-4790k CPU.
Is it possible with this hardware to get an audio feedback without latency? Is it necessary to use special software? Do I really have to use an amp?
Thank you for your help!
Hi! I've looked absolutely everywhere I can think of to help me fix this issue, but I'm having trouble figuring this one out and could use a hand.
So I've been recording off a very old ASUS through a Scarlet 2i4 onto Audacity for some time. I recently bought a new Dell Inspiron to update that portion of my rig and intend to download a new DAW. However, I noticed while messing around in Audacity on the new PC that I cannot figure out how to record through both inputs on the Scarlet at the same time. Couple of notes:
I've changed nothing from my old rig, and even broke it out and everything's working as it should be on the old PC.
Is this a hardware/soundcard issue on my new PC, where it won't record multiple tracks?
On my "Drivers" screen, I have two separate entries for my Scarlet, but one has a Code 10 error. I just realized while troubleshooting that the same error shows up on my old PC, but doesn't prevent me from recording from both inputs at the same time.
Is this something a software driver, like ASIO4ALL, could fix? I installed it briefly yesterday, but I didn't see any change and uninstalled it.
Is this something that a different DAW would fix? I'm planning to upgrade from Audacity, but I haven't come to a final decision yet. I'd rather not drop the $ for a license if this PC isn't going to work.
Thanks everyone for your time, I appreciate it!
Okay, to be clear: the title is provocative, but there's something to it.
I do not mean Zoom records better than locally using audition exactly.
What I mean is this: when I record on Zoom, it removes 95% of pops and clicks that get picked up during local, higher quality recording.
I've always had this problem where editing these pops and clicks out just takes so. much. time. But recording via Zoom, the audio quality is essentially good to go. Saving hours and hours.
I would love to understand what settings I could change in Audition such that I could record without capturing these sounds to begin with.
I hope this is clear, and sorry for the misleading title -- I just didn't know how to ask.
Hey everybody, I dont know if new posters without karma are welcome here. I have another account but I feel ashamed of my struggles with mental illness and wanted a safe account where I can post anonymously. This post will be long ish but please stay with me and read it if you can. Like, I do not do this. I don't post online for help. I dont even ask my friends. I am suffering unbelievably or I wouldnt even consider doing this. So I would really appreciate anyone who has the time to spare and help.
I really, really, really need some suggestions for help at managing the ADHD that has entirely crippled my life and is currently destroying it. I mean, it is absolutely running the show. I feel zero control and I desperately need to be on meds, but I have significant obstacles to obtaining them and I am hoping for some advice from people who have been through the same or similar situation. I have an entire lifetime of history of ADHD and an official diagnosis. From the Amen Clinic, no less, and with SPECT scans physically showing my condition.
However, even with that proof, theres a lot of ignorance and bad MDs out there.
These are the problems I have had with getting medicated:
After my initial Amen Clinic visit about 10 years ago, they prescribed me Adderall. but the clinic was out of state so when I returned home with a 30 day supply, The struggle was to find a physician in my state to write the script. my GP did it for a while, but soon changed insurance and I could not pay the fee for the appt for the script. So there went that. I would still be on meds today from them if money was not an issue. But it is, so I use Medicaid.
The main issue is, I have past issues with addiction that are widely documented. the Amen doctors who took the time to get to know me over 3 full days clearly saw that I am not a drug seeker and that my past addiction (circa around 2010) was self medicating as a result of undiagnosed and untreated devastating ADHD. But I aged out of my moms insurance and got medicaid. that was about 5 ish years ago. Medicaid doctors are notoriously not great, or thorough. Basically, to the poorly trained eye, I look like absolute shit on paper and the two experiences I had with Medicaid psychs were disastrous. One incorrectly diagnosed me with Bipolar (dead wrong) and so wouldnt do ADD meds, and the second one was a geriatric, half deaf 87 year old PSN who thought that I was a drug addict because I chose not to lie about the fact that I use mari

In 2014, Rutgers joined the Big Ten after a single year in the AAC, and 23 years in the old Big East. It was and still remains a pretty controversial choice to a lot of fans of other Big Ten teams, as Rutgers doesnβt have too great of a football history, despite being one of the originators of college football as we know it. So how has Rutgersβ time in the Big Ten been in football so far? Has it gone as badly as some people thought?

The records... do not shine brightly on Rutgers. They have the worst conference winning percentage of any Power 5 realignment team, sitting at a lowly .205. The Scarlet Knights only have a winning record against one team in the conference, Purdue, who they beat this past year. They have had relative success against division rivals Indiana and Maryland, splitting the 4 matchups against both teams. Not only does Rutgers compete well with the Hoosiers and Terps, but the games are usually close thrillers, with 5 of those 8 matchups being decided by 7 points or less, including some thrilling comebacks. In 2014, Rutgers overcame a 25-point road deficit to beat Maryland 41-38. In 2015, Rutgers overcame another 25-point road deficit to beat Indiana 55-52. Unfortunately for them karma struck at the end of the 2015 season, as the Scarlet Knights blew a 21-point lead at home against Maryland, losing 46-41.
However against other division rivals Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State, the Scarlet Knights are 1-15 (their lone win coming against Michigan in 2014), being outscored a combined 685-133, or right around an average of 42.8-8.3. Ouch.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I just had a conversation with a good friend of my wife. She's an all around fantastic person and was like a mother to my wife when she desperately needed it. She's also a lifelong Mormon.
She's an archaeologist. She became an archeologist because she wanted to investigate the Book of Mormon. She of course recognizes that there is no actual primary evidence of any kind anywhere in the Americas for the events of the Book of Mormon (and she told me she laughed openly at some amateur archaeologists trying to claim some specific finds to be BoM related), but she actually still holds out hope that it's true and we'll eventually find it.
She told us how, early in her career, she would travel to South America for professional digs and other projects. Her American bishop told her she should stop studying and stay home, while her South American bishop believed the whole archaeology thing was an elaborate cover for a secret affair.
In fact her bishop questioned her at length with specific accusations of adultery, which she flatly and confusedly denied. Later she said the high priest group leader in that ward made a pass at her (touching her) and she said a little voice told her to stay silent and not tell anyone anything because this guy was probably sent to get dirt on her and she shouldn't feed the trolls, so she just covered it up.
Shortly after, her membership number had a capital A appended to it.
She's fought with leadership for decades to get it removed but nobody will even acknowledge that it means anything. "Well it means something to me!" she told me. It's heartbreaking.
Side note: Also she grew up before youth worthiness interviews existed and she was surprised and upset to hear that they were a thing. "Why not have the parents ask their kids that stuff?"
Edit: to clarify, she hasn't dedicated her career to BoM stuff, she's just interested in it. She does legitimate work in native American artifacts, principally textiles.
Edit 2: apparently the last digit is a checksum that was added "when it became clear that church membership would exceed 10 million," which would have probably been around the time of the incident, making this an insane but possible coincidence.
I am new to pro tools and I just bought the Focusrite Scarlet solo; it has 2 inputs, 1 for a microphone and 1 for instruments/line in. My Yamaha DGX 650 keyboard has a lot of really nice electric keyboard voices with cerebral stereo effects that sway from right ear to left ear. Is it possible to get this stereo effect to record onto pro tools with just a single output line going into 1 jack on my Focusrite audio interface, or do I need two cables and a different audio interface to record it?
So, i was thinking about buying a scarlet 18i8 and wanted to know if it's possible to record a whole set of drums with it, just the drums without a full band. Basic stuff, snare, kicks, 2 toms and 2 overheads. If not, what do you guys recommend? I wanted something to record at home but could also bring to a studio to record live drums. Edit: Sorry for any english mistakes, not a native speaker.
