A list of puns related to "Saucy Food"
I don't know if there's a word that describes that kind of food, but it's very common in my culture and it usually has meat or milk/cream in it, and I only know very few vegan recipes that could be in that category. In my religion people eat a vegan-like diet for what adds up to roughly half of the year, so I'd like to expand my horizons here a bit. Curries seem to be in that category, if that helps.
One vegan recipe I'm familiar with is mushroom goulash. You sautee onions with carraway seeds, add mushrooms and a few bay leaves and allspice kernels, let the mushrooms release liquid and then reduce it, add some ketchup or tomato sauce, paprika and garlic to taste, and flour mixed with water to make it thick. It's usually served with potatoes, dumplings, or rice. It's really good but I don't want to eat it every day until I am tired of it, lol.
im kicking myself rn cuz it just happened to my brand new wunder trains πππ

Nigga, spend that bag on a trill bitch!
You put your hands all in yo pockets
Then you pull out that wallet
Tell that nigga stop [??] you know this pussy costly
Want it dripping like a faucet? You got to make deposits
Tell that nigga donβt be scared
Go head and break some bread
Put your hands all in yo pockets
Then you pull out that wallet
Tell that nigga stop [??] you know this pussy costly
Want it dripping like a faucet? You got to make deposits
Tell that nigga donβt be scared
Go head and break some bread

Has anyone ever had anxiety do to eating spaghetti in public? I usually eat fast if I'm in public just to get it over with. Eating pasta can be really messy if you're nervous already. I get the sauce on my mouth and everything. I know it's a normal thing to see if you're watching sometime eat pasta but still. I get nervous eating it. Also the worst is when/if pasta drops onto you clothing. Then you have a badge of sloppiness to show the world afterwards. Sometimes you can wipe with a napkin and water but that doesn't always work and you have a slightly discolored wet spot.
This is why I try to avoid eating saucy and messy foods in public.
uhhhhh yummmmm

Donβt get me wrong, I absolute love Indian food, but always was curious that a lot of the dishes are very saucy, which is a little harder to pick up with a hand, compared to letβs say a wrap where the sauce can be contained. I know thereβs naan to soak up sauce, but Iβd think the food would adapt to be placed in the naan bread like a taco or sandwich so itβs easier/cleaner to eat? Thank you for any answers
I discovered the Serious Eats blog last year, and every recipe I've tried off of there so far has been great, but I've generally stuck to dishes that require bowls or plateware. I've got a game night potluck coming up and would love to make a Serious Eats recipe, but something that can be eaten mid- card or board game without requiring utensils or risking a gloppy mess at the table. If any of you guys have recommendations, I would love to hear them! I have access to the book, if there are any recipes in there that aren't on the blog.
I'm a huge fan of cooking off chicken, pork, etc. plainly and adding sauce, it feels more flexible for me and I just love dipping things in sauce. :-) I eat a ton of baked chicken breast with 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce and I have some roasted garlic pepper I use on well, everything. Sriracha aioli is another tasty condiment that is easy to make on the fly.
How do you season/sauce/spice your food?
Edit: These are all great ideas! I am stopping by the Asian food store tonight to see what fun stuff I can find there! Thanks everyone, I need to bread away from the plain chicken once in awhile. :-)
Hello all! I have been making the transition into a lower carb cooking and would like to pick your minds as to what would be some good alternatives for Rice and Breads when it comes to saucy dishes. I spend a lot of time cooking Mediterranean and South American style foods, which are often very heavy on the carbs.. especially when it comes to the sides, which are great for soaking up all those tasty sauces. That being said, besides the cauliflower rice and mash are there any other favorites that you all use?
EDIT: Photo in comments.
Today, I took my first trip to Trader Joe's and my life and shopping habits are forever changed. I went because I heard they had frozen french macarons. I ended up spending 50 bucks but walked out with a huge amount of food. I poured the saucy scallops and mushrooms over the gnocchi gorgonzola and it's the most amazing meal i have ever had out of a bag.
