A list of puns related to "Rufus"
A lot of people on this sub bring up the vast differences between how Rufus treats Jenny and Dan. I'll be the first to admit that it makes sense given how rebellious Jenny is versus how Dan is just quiet little lOnElY bOy.
However, when Dan's book was published, I didn't understand how calm Rufus was with his terrible character. Dan wrote him as a washed up trophy husband and all Rufus says is "the book is amazing but you broke my heart." Rufus doesn't talk to Dan for awhile because of this but eventually just gets over it and never brings it up again.
I thought this was so weird considering how mad Rufus got at Jenny for things - especially the guerilla fashion show. On one hand, Dan's book was a huge opportunity for him but only at the expense of everyone he loved and even his own family. He alienated those around him by writing them terribly but agreed to publish it because he wanted success (Yes Vanessa chose to bring it to the publisher at first but he eventually backed the project and revealed his identity as the author). MEANWHILE, Rufus was FURIOUS at Jenny for her guerilla fashion show: something she only wanted to do because she was being relentlessly bullied at school, fashion was her outlet, and she basically just chose a boring event and Lily and the other EUS guests actually liked it and didn't even want her to get into trouble. THIS was HER chance to get success. Unlike Dan's book, she did not hurt anyone yet Rufus kept lecturing her about "the dangers of getting success at the cost of others" ... meanwhile Dan basically does just that and Rufus just shrugs it off????? What? I get that there are many different aspects to each situation such as their age/legal issues/etc but I was genuinely surprised that Rufus was so cool with Dan shitting on all his friends and trashing his own father for success.
But of course my opinion isn't set in stone. This was just my first time watching (Just finished the series!) so maybe I will rewatch and notice more. I'd love to hear other opinions.
They belong together I swear by it. Watching this for the 100th time and if lily was just open and honest. Ugh they would be perfect. Iβm only on season 3 e 18
I feel like he just disappeared of the face of the earth.
Not even the biggest fan of either group, but if they were going to go the electronic route, why would they not pick acts which are only getting bigger and have proven they have popularity to headline Coachella?
Iβm watching GG for the first time ever and Iβm Currently on season 3. I canβt get over how awful he is and every time heβs on my screen Iβm getting so annoying. He constantly judges Lilly and doesnβt care to listen to her reasonings or her sides of the story. Heβs a shit dad, especially to Jenny. He clearly has an issue with women, that a whole other story. He acts so high and mighty but then is sneaking around and turning up at his neighbours door after a fight with Lilly. I canβt actually stand him. I needed to vent because nobody I know has watched it/ watches it so nobody gets it! Please say other people feel the same.
Going back to the bad dad thing. When Dan wanted to get into Yale but he couldnβt afford it instead of taking Lillyβs help and swallowing his pride he would rather his own son completely miss out on a uni that he really wanted to go to!!! Heβs so selfish. Heβs a washed up musician with no money and he is so lucky that Lilly loves him for who he isπ canβt believe how mad Iβm getting over a tv show!
He was the actor opposite Andy in the gay play in Extras.
Played a policeman in Four Lives, protecting England's people.
He used to appear semi-regularly on Steve's old BBC 6 Music show.
Β
Rufus Jones
He played the sleazy journo that runs into Andy in Extras.
He played a gay man in Four Lives... a little gay fella an' that.
Looks like they're mates, have tweeted each other over the years.
It's just... weird innit... you know, how it all works... the supernatural an' that.
Can't get me 'ead round it.
So I just finished my first play through of Remake and loved it. My first Final Fantasy game and it blew me away, so much so I immediately bought the original and am about it start it (yeah I played them in a weird order).
It was going well until i got to Rufus. Him and that damn dog slapped me around like no one's business. I was playing on Normal as it was my first play through and it honestly must have taken about 5 or 6 attempts.
But then I got to the final two bosses and beat the Whispers and Sephiroth on the first attempt.
Is it a thing that Rufus is regarded as more challenging or am I just bad at that fight?
(Sorry if this has been asked before, i couldn't see it when I checked)
iβm on my 4th rewatch and what the fuck .. he tries to get jenny arrested after her guerrilla fashion show that she hosted w/ agnes and lily has to beg him not to have her arrested ? nobody seemed to be mad or even cared that jenny crashed the event to have her fashion show . rufus was just so wildly unfair to jenny and so supportive of dan, i mean in s3 he literally grounds jenny for thinking about losing her virginity to damien but literally let dan lose his with serena in the loft? heβs such a misogynistic person honestly & i see why jenny spiraled out of control towards the end of her arc and was so depressed and broken . she didnβt have a truly supportive mother or even father figure half the time . :/
If we were ever gifted with a Young Rufus and Bobby adventure spin-off movie or series - who would be your ideal castings?
What specific genre do these artists fit into? I listen to many YouTube mixes (Coccolino Deep etc) that have these artists regularly but not sure of the underlying genre.
Melodic house? Tech?
I like the ambient beats, violins and simple synths
I just ran across these videos and thought it was a cool find. You can even do battle as a Cactuar.

Who agrees?
>>βIf you accomplish something good with hard work, the labor passes quickly, but the good endures; if you do something shameful in pursuit of pleasure, the pleasure passes quickly, but the shame endures.β ~Musonius Rufus.
Elaboration: In my understanding, the quote is motivational towards focusing our time and efforts towards achieving something positive, rather than negative. It's a reminder that whenever we do something, the outcome of doing said thing still lives on. So, why not make it a positive outcome, rather than the opposite?
