A list of puns related to "Requisite Organization"
Aakash is finally starting organic chem and my sir asked me to revise class 11 things. I am a clueless guy so I started with chemical bonding first(now finished) now I don't know what to do I watched a PW video and he only mentioned certain topics and not the chapters which isn't really helpful. SO please name every chapter after chemical bonding that is required for organic chem and needs to be revised. If you name the chapters like they are named in NCERT class 11 index I will track your IP address and gib u candy P.S. would really thoughtful of you guys if you help me out...
DESCRIPTION
This will be a more organized version of map posts where QMs or any high ranking players can create a ticket on a board that logistics or players can fulfill.
CONCEPT
The requisition board can either be an interface in the map which anybody can click to. Or more immersive-ly, something that is built and players have to walk in front of the board to access.
HOW TO USE
For quest makers or quartermasters - QMs or any players that have enough commends/level can create a ticket (or should we say quests) in the board. The quest creation process involves a form-like interface with fields where they will select the destination of their request, the materials/supplies/equipment in the request, and/or where to get them.
The ticket can also contain a description box, where they can describe in paragraph form their quest. QMs can ignore the form overall and just write in the description box, but the fields will create map markers for players and quest description box (similar to RPG games), making it more convenient.
For logistics or any player wanting to fulfill quests/tickets - Players can select only maybe maximum of 3 quests from a list of quests in the board. After claiming a quest, the quest can be reviewed in maybe the map, or as a UI box in-game, describing the specs of the quest. A quest created with specifications will have map markers.
FEATURES, PROS, NOTES
A bit simpler than my last post, but that last one got me thinking about the idea and concession of religion. So here goes...
The experience of being close to God is different, and we all define God differently. No matter the history, creed, or baggage that someone has, there is no incorrect way to view God. Hell, even assuming there is no God/gods is in no way incorrect or immoral. Since this is the case, the fact that there is any kind of organized religion at all is a strange concept, due to the implied message of the correct view versus the incorrect view that comes with organized thought or groupthink. The way I see it, there is no need for any kind of organized religion, because if there is a god and he loves us, he will understand our different walks of life and experiences and all will be alright. If there is a god and he is neutral, then surely he will see the diversification of thought and view it as intriguing, and all will be alright. If there is a god, and he is spiteful, there is little that anyone can do to appease him and surely nobody would want to be ruled by a spiteful and totalitarian god. And finally, if there is no god at all, then whatever comfort we can get from getting that fuzzy warm feeling we call god before we drift into oblivion is good enough, and all will be alright. No need to decree that your belief is the right one, just enjoy your feeling and share it as an experience more than a fact of life. I guess I'm just sick of being viewed as godless or inherently immoral simply because of my lack of belonging to any one group. I suppose it's not really that much of an unpopular opinion, but I feel like its an important lesson nonetheless...
The spaceport tethered at the top of Earth's space elevator was an absolute hive of activity. Longshoremen worked frantically, transfering weapons, ammunition, vehicles, and supplies from the elevator platform to the fleet's ships. Racing to ensure the platforms were unloaded and on their way back down before the next one arrived. Speed and efficiency were their watchwords.
They had been told the stakes. Shown the footage of previous Krathi atrocities. Every minute wasted was more time for a bunch of innocent xenos to be slaughtered.
And so they worked tirelessly.
As Lieutenant Zhao exited the elevator's passenger compartment, along with the rest of Delta squad, he was awestruck at the sheer feat of logistics occuring in front of them. After a moment though, he shook himself out of it. Standing around being impressed was for people who didn't have important shit to be doing.
He turned toward his squad.
"Alright troopers, we are being assigned to the UNES Fission Trip. Get your gear stowed in barracks A5 and then go help the longshoremen. We need the ship loaded yesterday! Sergeant! Have someone double check our squad isn't missing any gear. I don't want to be loading for drop and discover that we got issued another squad's latrine paper while somebody else got OUR ammo." said Lieutenant Zhao.
"Alright you heard him people! Assholes and elbows! We ain't getting paid by the hour! Corporal Weber! You get to play quartermaster. Don't fuck up, we ain't turning around because somebody forgot their teddy bear!" said the Sergeant.
"Sergeant, one more thing."
"Sir?"
"Have the children fed, watered, and rallied at the barracks by 1600. The fleet's tactical AI is going to be briefing everyone. I'll meet you there."
"Yes sir."

Wow, so that's a doozy huh? This is what I'm talking about if you haven't seen it yet. Dr. Metzler's planning to force a bankruptcy in a Chinese property giant so his market puts print and then he wants to use the profits from those to buy a bunch of real gold metal, store it in Lichtenstein (you know, where Heath Ledger's fake patent of nobility in "A Knight's Tale" is from) and use it to back a new stablecoin on the blockchain to save the world economy.
That is the craziest goldarned thing I've ever heard since some idiot in a cat shirt yolo'd his life savings onto a failing video game brick and mortar company on the Dubya Ess Beee Reddit forum on these hear internets.
I mention DFV's original yolo specifically because just like DFVs yolo, it's a relatively simple concept (in his case that GME is undervalued and will rebound) that's getting an inordinate amount of hate for no reason. I'm going to break down Metzler's actual position here like Frank Baum broke down the housing market play in "The Big Short" (is there a bubble? if so, are the banks exposed?) here's Metzler's Theory:
Like, that's it. That's Metzler's entire conceit right there. Most of us agree on the first point, but we largely prefer buying GME shares to capitalize. And the stablecoin concept has already been fully proven by Tether, except Metzler is planning to be transparent with his backing assets and use gold instead of (potentially since we don't actually know what's backing Tether) shitty Chinese property bonds and commercial paper.
Metzler, is not now, never has been, and never will be an Ape. He's an individual investor with a history in the finance markets making his own play who's been shown some love by this community and in turn is showing us a little love back. We're making our play, he's making his. Let the man work, if he's successful in forcing the world to acknowledge that the Chinese debt is bad, that only he

If you have a good memory, you may remember my last post, about the testing I conducted on the performance effects of Skyrim's various graphical settings. The thread garnered far more attention than I was expecting, especially considering that the tests were only half-finished.
I spent the next week completing this testing, documenting the results, and creating images and GIFs for you to all enjoy.....
And then got completely burnt out by everything, and fell off the Skyrim bandwagon.
It's taken me a year to get through my work, my shitty mental state, and my procrastination, to finally post this conclusion to the testing, and for that, I apologize. I know that tech advances quickly, especially in the Gaming-PC space, and so waiting a year makes my data all the more obsolete.
For whatever it is still worth, I am happy to share my findings with you, as a way of giving back to the Skyrim Modding community for all the great mods I have enjoyed over the years. I am happy to report that thanks to all of your suggestions, I was able to gain NINTEEN FPS on my client, which brought me up from a sad 28 FPS to a playable 47 FPS with Rudy ENB, 4K landscape textures, obsidian weathers, etc., AT A 3440x1440p RESOLUTION!
I am now posting the results here to maybe help save other people's time, in case anyone is wondering how many frames they might stand to gain or lose by changing a game setting, or are wondering whether or not they'll really be able to see the difference with a setting on or off. I don't know if this data will ever make it into an official part of the subreddit's documentation, but I hope it remains easily found in the future.
For context, I'm playing on the following hardware, purchased in 2017:
***Please note that I am displaying the game at a resolution of 3440x1440p. This is 2.5x the effective resolution of 1920x1080p. Yes, 2.5 times. If you're running your client on a 1080p screen, imagine having to also run another screen and a half. This is obviously a large part of why my starting FPS is so low, and if you are running 1080p, you will most likely have a much higher framerate than me. The r

What we eat is a huge part of who we are, who weβve been, and what we experience as we encounter the new. In my 90 years, I have done my best to experience first hand the many, many ways that each denizen of the Forgotten Realms decides to break bread.
This is by no means a rule book, as if I am some sort of dictator of what is, and isnβt proper for a member of a race to do in the kitchen. Rather, it is a collection of observances in regards to commonalities and trends among members of the same race. While my own experience is obviously limited, and there are plenty of individuals I have yet to dine with and learn about, I would like to offer up what I have learned so far.
-Adelbert Boffin, Halfling Culinarian
First things first, as a disclaimer of all Culinary Ethnography entries, letβs set some caveats. Who are Elves? Am I including Half-Elves? Drow? All those of Elven lineage? All those of Elven parentage back to the Fae themselves? While I would like to eventually include more varied looks at the similarities and differences between all of these groups, for the purposes of this analysis, I will be looking at those Elves that live in, or near the Faewild in particular. As always, this is a look at some of the major trends I have seen occur. It is not a rulebook that one must follow to be a βproper Elfβ in the kitchen. Food is as much culture as it is history, geography, necessity, community, and personal freedom. With that out of the way, letβs give this culture a respectful look.
Living off the Land
To truly understand the cuisine of the Elves, it is important to first understand where their sustenance is derived from. While this maxim is true of all races, it holds even greater weight with Elves. Food culture is derived from the culmination of necessity and environment and the environment that most Elves live in is one of true bounty, allowing for a more βparticularβ palate. After all, it is much easier to only eat things that taste good, when starvation is not on the line. Not many races can claim the same abundance, leading to a rather unique culinary culture.
The first subject of note is that Elves do not take part in animal husbandry. From Dwarves, to Humans, to Orcs, you can see some sort of animal that is a mainstay in their diet in some form or another. As always, this is co

Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. Lieutenant Tuvisha growled deep in the back of her throat. Had any of the shipβs crew been in her quarters with her, the sound would have warned them of their security chiefβs simmering irritation. Her research suggested that a Terran, however, might consider the sound βcute.β That thought just made her growl more, her silicate claws scratching ineffectually at the composite material of her desk. Lieutenant Tuvisha didnβt do βcute.β
She might have to put up with it, though. As a deep space research vessel for Svikkth Global Universityβs Trkbin School of Xenobiology, the Far Star went wherever the researchers wanted to go. And the new research team wanted to visit uncolonized deathworlds, and catalogue their biomatter. In accordance with galactic law, that meant they needed a Terran security officer to escort the ground teams and keep the gardenworlder researchers safe. The sheer number of potential threats they would be facing boggled the mind, even to a veteran Svikkthian marine like Tuvisha. Poisonous plants, dangerous predators, carnivorous plants(!), myriad bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic infection vectors, to say nothing of the possible seismic and meteorological threats they might just end up facing. It made sense that they needed a deathworlder to keep them safe on a deathworld.
But this Terran! In typical fashion of university administrators across the galaxy, the wonderful beings in charge of acquisitions and staffing had done the Far Star the favor of screening, hiring and assigning a Terran SO for them, and then neglected to forward their dossier to the shipβs captain until the new crewmember was already on a shuttle bound for orbit! Thankfully, Captain Thellrin was alert and decisive, or Tuvisha might have been completely blindsided by her new subordinateβs arrival. And species. As it was, she had barely an (hour) to review the dossier and process her irritation and disappointment before showing up to greet them.
Out of time, she stood from her desk and left her quarters to go greet the arriving shuttle. She was still irritated, but managing to keep her outward responses to minor bristlin

After being on 25 mcg of Synthroid for 2 months my TSH is went down to 3.95, and my T4 is in range now (lower end), which is ALOT better than what it used to be (TSH 6). I had a 40-50% reduction in symptoms by this point and its been amazing. But I'm still VERY much symptomatic and it's affecting my life. I'm 3 months into being on my current dose now, and that's still the same. I'm not there yet. I want to be.
My previous PCP declined increasing my dose to 50 mcg even though I made some really valid points about why I need my meds upped. He also wouldn't grant me an antibody test requisition even though I have a family history on both sides, and I want to know if my issues are autoimmune related like my relatives.
I just switched over to a new doc. This guy's okay. He's down with giving me a more proper thyroid panel, including antibodies. But he doesn't want to increase my meds either since I'm technically within range. But at least he said he would speak with an endo for advice and call me back in a week if the endo recommends getting me to 50.
So crossing by fingers. Hoping. Still. Idk what I'm going to do if this doesn't work out, cuz I know my body and I know what normal is like for me. I mean maybe, I'm wrong, but this is my understanding:
- TSH fluctuates. So if I have a TSH of 3.95 on a different day I might be testing out of range
- 0.5-4.1 is a metric used for diagnosis not treatment.
- It's recommended by various health organizations to have a TSH below 2.5 if you are a patient with a thyroid problem, and fT4 levels that are mid-to upper range for optimal outcomes
- If you have a patient who previously tested out of range you take symptoms into account not just labs.
- Different people feel better at different ft4 and TSH levels. If someone has hypothyroidism it's important to take symptoms into account.
- I'm at a high risk for Hashimotos due to my family history. If I have it, that means that in the long-term my lab values are going to change. If I'm right on the edge between what are considered standard normal and abnormal lab results that will be problematic.
That's all valid right? Do I keep advocating for myself? Switching doctors if I need to?
Idk why it's so hard to get treated where I live, when I see so many people on here who are getting prescribed meds even though their initial TSH is way lower than mine, people who are getting prescribed increases for a TSH that's 4 or even 3. Wish I was you fam.

For the purpose of this post I will be defining intelligent life as an organism with comparable or superior mental capabilities to our own.
I feel like it's a fairly commonly held belief especially among relatively young people that not only is there probably some intelligent life out there, but that there is certainly tons of it. While I think it is certainly possible and even likely given the vastness of the universe, the idea that it is clear that numerous super advanced extraterrestrial civilizations exist is unconvincing to me. My view primarly hinges on dissecting the Drake Equation, which I feel is one of the main arguments coming from people with this belief:
For those that don't know, the Drake equation is a model designed to predict the number of civilizations with which humans could communicate (i.e the number of alien worlds with technology similar or more advanced than ours in our galaxy alone). The equation asserts that this number is the product of mean rate of star formation, fraction of stars w/ planets, mean # of planets that could support life per star w/ planets, fraction of habitable planets that have life, fraction of planets w/ life that develop intelligent life, fraction of planets w/ intelligent life that develop communication, and mean length of time that civilizations can communicate. I actually am mostly ok with the model itself. I think that if the correct values were used, this model might be able to predict the proper number of advanced civilizations within a couple orders of magnitude. However, the values traditionally used for these parameters render a completely psuedo-scientific result. The following values are those which were orginally estimated by Drake himself.
Mean rate of star formation- Set by Drake as 1 per year, I'm no astronomer but this is something we apparently have sufficient evidence for and is regarded as a conservative estimate. This value is totally fine by me.
Fraction of stars with planets- Estimated to be between 0.2 and 0.5. Also something we have evidence for, fine by me. I actually thought this number was considered to be even higher.
Planets that could support life per star with planets- Estimated to be between 1 and 5. This is completely baseless. Given that we have never been able to successfully recreate abiogenesis, and we only really have evidence that it has ever taken place once on Earth, I do not see a compelling reason to believe that the true value is greater than som

WHY DID I KEEP IT: The deduction is unique and allows interaction through bluffing and is satisfying to get right.
The theme is delightful, with fun thematic explanations for mechanisms in the rulebook.
CRITICISM: I've had people who just do not understand how the deduction works.
The worker placement is not the draw of the game, and yet, some parts feel needlessly intricate.
I don't like apps.
PLAYS: 20+
WHY DID I KEEP IT: By keeping the rules straightforward, it makes it accessible even to non-gamers. There's constant interaction with players having to pay more to build in other players' areas and being able to leech off other players' resource gathering actions.
Gaining more cards and occupying more areas gives a growing feeling of accomplishment. While at the beginning of the game you may struggle to generate a single resource, by the end you're drowning in them!
CRITICISM: It's a by-the-numbers Euro game, just done well.

WHY DID I KEEP IT: Same reason as Gaia Project, it's similar enough to another game I love that it's almost like buying an expansion. The increased focus on negotiation puts and interesting spin on things and I like that the asymmetric powers are more involved.
Plus, there's some nice gender inclusivity, a rarity for these sort of games. There's monstrous women like The Mistress, Kyger Litor and The Mother of Monsters, a scarred woman in Sedenya, and even a genderfluid character with Androgeus.
Some won't like the breasts on display in some of the expansion content. I find it comes across quite naturally. It evokes a sense of uncanny valley with the attacking Maidstone Archer, as they're distinctly non-human, and a sense of power wi

TL/DR: Real-world design detection seems to require foreknowledge of designed objects coupled with pattern recognition, or assumptions of mechanisms of design and/or manufacture, and detection of by-products of the mechanisms to infer design. Are there any real-world examples (i.e. practical applications) of design detection that don't rely on these?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Paley's famous watch analogy, we don't detect design by marveling at the watch's complexity. We look at a pocket watch and recognize it as a human-made object, because we know humans make pocket watches and we know what a watch looks like. Rather than measuring complexity or calculating information content, we're simply using pre-existing knowledge and basic pattern recognition. This is how design appears to be recognized in most scenarios. Many ID analogies (e.g. painting in the woods, Mt. Rushmore, etc.) are further examples of this.
In absence of pre-existing knowledge of the manufacture of a designed object, we otherwise appear to infer a mechanism and then look for expected patterns based on that mechanism.
For example, traditional radio-astronomy SETI assumes that if aliens built radio transmitters, they would emit similar signals to human radios: narrow band signals. Optical SETI assumes that if aliens were using lasers to broadcast signals similar to human lasers, we could likewise detect the telltale characteristics of those signals.
The detection of GM organisms involves either comparison of known GM sequences or detection of byproducts of the GM process (e.g. specific promoters). In the latter, there is again knowledge of a process used to make GM organisms to then detect the hallmark of the process.
A third example is search for paleolithic artifacts and distinguishing them from naturally occurring objects. For instance, naturally occurring rocks can have the appearance of knapped flints (and vise-versa). Knowledge of the process of which knapped flints are made (i.e. percussive striking) can be used to determine fracture patterns to distinguish them from natural rocks.
Intelligent Design proponents seek to detect design in biological organisms. But in absence of either foreknowledge of the design or a proposed mechanism by which design was created, would it ever be possible to detect said design? Are there any real-world examples of design detection th

The same has happened yet again. With the passing of General Rawat, spotlight will be again on the maintenance schedules of the helicopters and the pilot error and whose government put in the requisition of the helicopter and all that, but the point remains that General Rawat is just another body on a pile of corpses that have bit the dust for serving Bharat.

Hi everyone! Would appreciate any insight from fellow PhD students on grad academic performance issues. Devastated to say that the unthinkable happened and I failed a PhD class in my first year.. I had a C (minimum is a B-) in a term 1 class. I've read that this almost never happens, which is even more embarrassing, and the shame of it all is truly overwhelming. I reached out to my supervisor and she told me I have her full support, which is incredibly kind. She's highly reputable in her field, and likely never had a Ph.D. student fail anything, seeing that she doesn't know what happens next (she just said to talk to admin when they're back from the holiday). Feeling like a black sheep is a massive understatement.
I'm not sure what happens next. My GPA is still above 3 (sounds like 3 this is the minimum to avoid probation at my institution, but it doesn't say if this criterion extends to PhD students). The policy says that if we fail one course we MIGHT be asked to leave (2 failed courses and you're definitely out). If I'm allowed to continue, will I lose my basic PhD stipend and/or award? Will I have to repeat the year, seeing that this course is a pre-requisite to everything else that follows?
The main reason I failed is because I took on too much. I struggled with undiagnosed ADHD and anxiety (now on meds and feeling much better) while juggling family life and part-time jobs. Funding is a huge issue, hence why I needed to take on jobs, so if I lose my basic stipend or award, it will be almost impossible to survive, financially. Research-wise, I am doing well, even though it's my first year. I co-founded a new organization and just had a PhD-relevant paper accepted for publication, with 3 more almost ready for submission. I think this also contributed to my neglecting coursework, I prioritized my research, which I realize now was misguided.
Any advice would be deeply appreciated. What repercussions should I expect and has anyone ever had to deal with this before? Is it possible to recover?
Thank you kindly!

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.

You take away their little brooms
This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
I am reminded of the Pulwama attacks and someone asked a dignitary after the maddening incident, what could be done to prevent it, and the man replied that this incident was given attention because many soldiers died on a single day, while one or two soldiers die every day in Jammu and Kashmir, and if we count their dead bodies from all the slow news days, the toll is higher than Pulwama.
##A whopping 1733 staff and scientists and armed forces personnel have died under mysterious conditions in just the past 20 years β
680 scientists and allied staff from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre have died of mysterious causes in the past. Most of these have been suicides.
10 scientists of Department of Atomic Energy have died due to murders and other unnatural causes that include mysterious fires.
684 personnel of ISRO have died of unnatural causes in the last 20 years. This includes 387 dead in the associate units of ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Centre, Space Applications Centre, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.
297 high level administrators have died working in the ISRO Headquarters itself.
The death toll may be way higher since the related organizations never reveal their staff who die of mysterious deaths.
Even their death certificates do not specify the cause of death for security reasons.
##Many of the causes of these strange deaths are disturbing and seem to be lifted from a cheap spy movie β
Two Naval officers assigned as engineers to the freshly inaugurated nuclear submarine INS Arihant were found dead on railway tracks, run over by a train.
More than 100 staff and scientists of Kaiga Atomic Power Station at Karwar, Karnataka died and were hospitalised after drinking poisoned water from a water cooler in their office. Coincidentally Karwar also houses one of Indian Navyβs most expensive Naval Stations and also the most secretive one.
L Mahalingam, a senior scientist from the same nuclear station went for a morning walk and never returned.
Mahadevan Padmanabhan Iyer, an engineer at BARC was found dead and heart attack was declared the cause of. But the a
