A list of puns related to "Receiver General"
I don't really post here anymore, but I wanted to extend a helping hand to any who might need it.
Have a sight that requires installation and don't want to booger it up, deal with ornery sights, or just don't have the time? Do you have an AR upper parts kit that needs to be put together, but don't have the tools? Send it my way! I offer free sight installation, upper assemblies, gas block barrel dimpling, pin and welds, and barrel inspections. If your request falls outside of these, just ask. I may still be able to help.
Regularly, shipping here and on return costs about $8.70 each way, so right under $18 for your slide to be back in your hands. Uppers are generally about $15-$20 dollars each way.
Just stick a piece of paper that contains your phone number, return address, and the contents of your package and I will have it back within the day. When you PM/IM me, please keep one thread going for the duration of your parts' stay with me. Ideally put in a descriptive subject line, too.

... keep reading on reddit β‘TLDR: Hello, I'd like to get unbiased opinions on value of using higher class receiver in a BiCROS system. Will better receiver reduce background noise in quiet/loud enviroments and improve general speech recognition?
Backstory: I have opportunity to buy starkey livio ai BiCROS system relatively cheap, but the downside of it - I won't really be able to test it. I would like to choose one of the following receivers: livio ai 1600 / livio ai 2000 / livio edge ai 2400. My plan is to buy the system and find good audiologist to personalize it for me - including REM fitting.
I've been testing livio ai 1200 + cros, but even in an small office it wasn't easier to pick up on speech. Without hearing aids I'd say it is rather quiet in the office - low volume music playing, silent AC running on. With hearing aids on, even using lowest volume settings, the background noise was really hard to bare and I feel like my speech recognition got even worse. In the office we are separated with computer screens - I can't really get visual cues. I suspect, that my audiologist didn't do a good job with programming devices.
In my area, it's really hard to find good hearing care professional, that has experience with treating SSD. I'm forming this hypothesis on my personal feelings that I've gotten observing my audiologist setting up devices. She was also genuinly amazed by the fact, that I can't localize sounds when my left ear is almost completly deaf. In my area, it is impossible to find a clinic, that performs REM fitting. I can't really travel freely to test all the options with a setup from a proper audiologist, so I just figured I should buy hearing aids cheaper and pay for a few fitting sessions with a proper audiologist.
I post here on occasion, but just wanted to extend a helping hand to all who might need it.
