I just finished reading The Stand (fucking loved it), it’s never really made clear exactly what the dark man is. It’s pretty clear that he’s not human and it doesn’t seem like he’s The Devil either. I’d love to hear some ideas/discussion on what exactly he is.
I'm reading through The Stand right now, and I can't help but spot similarities between Randall Flagg and Negan. They both are evil, but command people's respect and are charismatic. Am I crazy, or can anyone else agree.

About to start the CBS version of The Stand, heard generally negative things about it from fans. Randall Flagg is my all time favourite King villain so if somebody who’s seen the show could tell me if they’ve butchered my favourite character would be great😂
