A list of puns related to "Provinces Of Japan"
After a long break from EUIV, I decided to get into it again. First time playing as an Asian country. Was pretty fun, achieved reuniting Japan, etc.
But one recurring issue was high autonomy. My provinces had a 75% minimum autonomy. In Japan. Even after unification!
It looks like the states system is how I'm supposed to bring down autonomy. Sort of like.... A second coring?
Can someone walk me through when/whether it's a good time to turn annexed provinces into States?
By 1700 I was still only fielding 25k as my military cap for the entirety of Japan! And barely able to afford fleets for a lot of it.
Also, I'm at 1700 in one playthrough and I haven't even gotten the Renaissance. Seriously falling behind even other Asian countries tech-wise. What's the strategy re: tech for non-European countries?
Thanks!

Example 1: Mexicans have told me horrible things about Estado de MΓ©xico. Not even Sinaloa, MichoacΓ‘n or Tamaulipas get the same amount of bad comments. According to most Mexicans I know, Estado de MΓ©xico is a lawless place that has been forgotten by God.
Example 2: In another subreddit Brazilians hated me for asking if Rio de Janeiro is the only Brazilian state with problems. Rio de Janeiro is no longer the most violent state in Brazil, but still has a bad reputation inside of Brazil. Before going to IguazΓΊ (ParanΓ‘), I asked about going to Rio de Janeiro and Brazilians ran to tell me I would be murdered in cold blood as soon as I arrived.
Example 3: Buenos Aires - CΓ³rdoba - Northeastern Argentina. PorteΓ±os told me horrible things about provinces such as Salta and Jujuy. My old customers from BsAs and Rosario never had a good thing to say about CΓ³rdoba and my beloved cordobeses customers asked me to stop using the word pibes when talking about them because it reminded them of PorteΓ±os.
Maybe it's because I live in such a small country but regionalism here is just for memes and baseball, nothing else. I'm open to hear diverse opinions and points of view.
As you know, we don't pay PST on essentials like rent or your house and groceries. So, how much money are you spending on not that stuff. Even if it's $2000 a month (which would be quite a bit) a 1% reduction in PST is going to save you a whopping $20 a month. Even if you're fairly well off and manage to spend $4000 a month on non essentials you're still only saving $40 a month.
But, because everyone pays it and some people actually do pay quite a bit, it's going to cost the government hundreds of millions a year. This at a time when apparently we don't have the funds to provide a single meal a day to school children.
Second friendly reminder that it's only 3.75 years to the next election. Wouldn't hurt to start prepping now.
Edit. So apparently it's going to cost the province $300M a year. The cost of the breakfast program we can't afford? $30M. How much would it cost to make transit better and free? $147M. You get the idea.
I'd like to sell my house this summer maybe as late as the fall. I'm considering NB, NS, PEI and northern BC for relocation. Neither my husband or I speak French so I would prefer a predominantly English area. My husband works for the railroad from one end of the country to the other so access to an airport (preferably with air canada flights available) would be important as well as decent doctors. Husband would need regular care for ongoing health concerns and I would need a physician or psychiatrist that could prescribe my controlled ADHD meds. I plan on taking some college courses for the first two years so I'm not concerned about finding work in that time period. I am hoping some residents can offer insights for what to look out for, areas that may be for favorable to best meet our criteria, any helpful suggestions for things I may not be aware of or possibly haven't considered. Thanks in advance!
