Penetration Testing Books for Programmers Similar to "The Art of Exploitation"
Hey guys. Hope all is doing well.
I was wondering what do you recommend a Computer Scientist/Programmer to read in order to learn more about Penetration Testing.
Recently, I read the book "Hacking: The Art of Exploitation". This was a great book for me because it gave me a lot of insights about how hacking works at a low level.
I started reading other books but none are able to keep my attention as much as the above book because they fail to reach the same level of depth and generally assume that the reader has close to no technical knowledge in the field of computing.
Do you guys recommend any books in particular for someone who needs to understand things at a low level? Something like "Hacking: The Art of Exploitation"?

Do you guys prefer programmer art or default textures and why?
I mainly use default, because after trying default textures, I noticed how much harder it is to differentiate between certain things with my colorblindness, like lime and yellow wool became almost indistinguishable (with default it's a bit easier, still confusing at times) and growing wheat was a genuine pain as I couldn't tell when wheat was fully grown. Some other things though are just aesthetics, like I just don't like the way some blocks look.

Sup reddit, should I use default textures? or programmer art?
its a hard decision, i've grew up with programmer art, and i dont want to loose the og vibe that a typical veteran would never want to loose. of course, i will never loose that feel, because i would always dye my bed red. at the same time, i would love to engage with the other players, and see on their perspective, and how they look at textures. its a hard decision, i would like you guys to comment your suggestions, it will help me decide :)

Another Montreal job posting for Starfield programmers as well as an art outsource coordinator

I don't know much about game development, but the simple fact they are still hiring programmers and art outsource coordinators for Starfield makes me question the rumored 2021 release.

I do pixel art and writing, I'm not a programmer. What are my options?
I have an idea that I feel could do well, I've gone as far as to make art and story elements for the project. However, I've tried learning how to put my art in motion and have continued to fail horribly. Honestly, I don't think I'm built for coding. Before I abandon this project altogether, what are the options for someone like me?

How do solo game programmers get art for their games?
I am a software developer. I am very "by the book" and systematic in my work. To put it lightly, I am the least artistic person you could imagine. BUT, I love games and have got hundreds of ideas that will never come to fruition because I know that unless it looks good, people won't play it.
So my question is for people like me with no artistic ability how do you make your games look good? I guess the two options are: 1) learn or 2) pay someone else to do it. For me, 1 isn't really an option, I already do too much and just don't have time. That leaves option 2 which sounds expensive... I guess that's the risk you have to take to start a business though right?
Let me know what you guys think.

Programmer with no art and music Skill
Im a programmer with no art skill / music skills.
Im looking for either an idea for a game that would work without art and music or artists and musicians.
Im doing this just for fun tho so I dont have any money to spend on a project.
Im also open To join an ongoing project.
I mostly code in C# so Unity or any other free Engine that works in C# is fine.

Looking for programmer/coder. Starting a tamagotchi style game in pixel art. Would love a small team! Artists are also welcome. Not paid!
Hello, I am beginning a project that includes more than just a tamagochi style game but am missing coding skills!
I'm already an artist and I'm learning pixel art and animation. Im confident in my abilities. I would love a coder/programmer that shares love for indie games and the aesthetic of pixel art.
Please DM me if interested and we can talk about the details.
