A list of puns related to "Private Pilot License"
Checkrides are terrifying. Anyone who has done one can tell you that. But I passed! Now on to more ratings and certifications!!
Iβve scoured the web looking for an answer and Iβm not sure like what happens after a second failure. Do you get credit for what you did right again or will you be back at square 1 and redo the entire checkride?
UPDATE: I passed. But this whole situation made clear that I want to get more flight training.
Has anyone gotten their PPL in the Boulder region? Looking for recommendation of flight school if you have any experience with this. There are a number available(seems to be a ton in Broomfield), and I'm not really sure how to choose.
There are a few recommendations in this thread from last year, but just hoping to see if anyone has any other reccos: https://old.reddit.com/r/boulder/comments/mmd5tv/pilots_of_boulder/
Thank you!
Hi all,
I think it would be cool to have a plane and be able to fly over Malaysia and then return to Singapore... Not that I can afford this... BUT if I could, does anyone know how long it would take to get the license?
Many thanks in advance :)
Hi,
I was just wondering if the process of getting part 107 drone license is different for private pilot license owners? Do I still need to take the $175 faa exam? And if I do, would you say I need extra study if I passed my private pilot written test recently with a decent score? Thank you!
I'm really excited for this. It's been a lifelong dream of mine to fly, and now I'm finally achieving it. But I'm also having doubts.
I hope I'm good enough to do this, and I hope it's everything I dream of. Could you tell me you're proud of me?
I have an opportunity at a scholarship but I'm also enlisting into the air national guard. How quickly can I get a PPL.
Hi all,
I'm fortunate enough to start flight training this summer. I can live anywhere within the greater Seattle area, so I'm having a hard time deciding which flight school to pick. I'm trying to optimize for cost and availability. Does anyone have suggestions?
Here are the flight schools I've researched so far from previous threads:
Rainier Flight Service - based in Renton, good for training
Galvin Flight School - expensive, and slow, but great quality
ProFlight - based in Renton, good for training
Let's say that I could only afford one or the other. Which should I do? What are the pros and cons you can think of? Looking to add another hobby and some more excitement in my life.
So I am planning on to get a Private Pilot License in USA while I'm working.
I'm not sure which city / town will I be placed in when next year. But over all I have a sense of the total costs involved (around 12-15k).
I was wondering if anyone can help me with the cost break up and how can I manage the expensese over a period of time so I don't have to shell out all of it at one go.
I just saw that some bases have private pilot clubs on base. How do these work? Is this a free benefit as part of the Air Force, or do you still have to pay for flight time & instruction? Seems like it would be cool to learn on the side, but would eat up all of your paycheck if you had to pay out of pocket still.
Hello, so, does any one here know how to get a private pilotβs license in dubai and costs associated with it ? Is it worth it to get a license here ? Would it be recognized in other countries ?
So I'm an undergrad who'll be coming to Pune next year for my first job in a consulting firm.
It has always been a dream to learn to fly an aircraft. I was checking out and a few aviation institutes in India have weekend courses where you can complete your flight hours requirement and get a PP licence in 6-8 months.
Can anybody guide me on this? Is it too early? 8-9L is the cost according to what I've heard. I think I can afford it with a little help from my parents. Actually I'm that type of a person who likes to enjoy life and explore, and I believe I won't get time later on as I climb the corporate ladder.
Any aviation institute you know of near Kharadi within 10-20 kms that suit my requirements? Also, any other advice would be much appreciated.
Let's say you have 15k to spend on one or the other. Since they're more or less around that.
Which one would you choose and why? What are the pro's and cons of each?
Hey guys,
So I was just curious as to how traveling to different locations with a private pilots licenses works exactly. Lets say you have your own plane at a local private airport. Can you just hop in and take off and fly around? Can you pick a destination within range and fly and land there on a whim or do you need to plan the trip with the destination airport? Is there a list of airports you can travel to and from?
Sorry for the very basic questions, this was just something I was curious about and wondering how much freedom you have. Thanks!
Anyone in the Indy area in the process of obtaining their PPL? New to the area and would like to continue flying - just reaching out to see if anyone is an aspiring pilot as well!
I just learned today that I'll never be able to obtain my license until I stop taking adderall. Flying has been a lifelong dream and the realization that I'll never be able to do it is devastating. If you're a pilot with AD(H)D, do you take anything? Do you have any suggestions of other treatments I could try? I'm pretty much open to anything as long as it's cleared by the FAA.
New guard Aviation LT wanting to pursue civilian airlines in the future. Obtaining a private pilot license can cost up to 10k plus. I saw on the website that the loan say no education expenses but does that only apply to people paying their student loans off? The goal is to take the minimum amount for flight school then pay it off as quickly as possible. Is this possible and is this a good idea financially? (Also currently have no student debt)
Iβve got the feeling that this is going to be received in the same way that I take people telling me how great it must be to βhave all that free fishβ since I own a boat and fish, but Iβm asking anyway.
Do any of yβall feel like having your private pilots license is a good value or is it more of the intangibles hat make it worth having? Have you been able take trips or vacations for cheaper or ones that you wouldnβt have been able to take otherwise?
Iβd love to get my pilots license for the freedom of travel aspect, but itβs hard to justify the costs of actually flying on top of the other expenses of certification. I think I already know the answer, but Iβm interested to hear about it from people who are actually living the life I envy.
Hallo Zusammen,
Has anyone already got the Private pilot license here in Germany ? or someone in process?
I just want to know the process and what all things need to be followed if I plan to take the Flugschule in Bavaria(where i live).
Thanks in Advance.
I kinda wanna test the waters of cessna flight and see if it would be for me; does the airport do these things? I canβt find any info on it.
I did my first discover flight today. I was amazed how much the instructor let me control the aircraft and had a lot of fun (went in a piper warrior).
Living in Houston, I find we have a lot of cool places within hours reach and am considering going after my private pilots license
Does it look bad when applying to guard/reserve units for a pilot slot if it took me over 100+ hours? It was over a period of 2 years, I was working 50 hour weeks and would sometimes have to take a break for months at a time due to maintenance and just bad luck.
Will COOL cover flight training for a private pilots license now that it is available in the program. I was told through the grapevine no, only testing fees. Anyone with better info?
Hey π Iβd really appreciate any advices on getting PPL in Japan (or maybe abroad?). I have a few questions that Iβm mostly looking answers for, but please share any thoughts you have.
I know thatβs going to be expensive, but if someone could throw exact numbers thatβd be nice.
Another thing that Iβm curious about is the language, I canβt speak Japanese, I know that in aviation English is the primary language, is that also applicable to Japan? Can I take lessons in English and fly in Japan with only English?
Iβd also appreciate any links to fly schools in Japan.
And the last one, not that important but kinda curious, if I buy/rent an aircraft, how much would I pay for a parking space at an airport assuming Iβm not able to park it in my driveway. :D
One of my coworkers mentioned this but idk it sounds too good to be true.
