A list of puns related to "Pressure Related"
Hello everyone - I am new to this community. I am in my mid twenties and have been working out consistently since college. I also have worked extremely hard to change my mindset around exercise (from punishment/way to prevent "letting myself go" to something for enjoyment).
When I have a lot of time on my hands, I LOVE working out. However, it is becoming harder and harder to enjoy fitting exercise into my day. I am a new teacher at a high-needs school, and this first post-pandemic school year has been crazy to say the least. Between an hour commute, a 7 -4 school day, and after school obligations, I find myself exhausted when I leave the building each day. When I exercise in the evenings on my way home, I often don't get back to my apt until 7 or 8 pm, at which point I still have 1-2 hours of prep work/grading/family outreach to do for the following day. I feel like I have no time to breathe, and I find myself wishing I could just skip my workouts in favor of a walk or simply just an extra hour to journal or chill.
This is all to ask if anyone else has ever been in a similar situation. If so, did you allow yourself to forgo exercise in favor of more organic forms of movement (walking, etc.) or did you force yourself to continue squeezing in workouts?
Thank you for any and all advice. I think I'm having a hard time figuring out whether "self-care" means taking the pressure off myself to exercise, forcing myself to remain consistent, or some happy medium.
Peer pressure in the sense like for example I am doing a free course which almost everyone in college is doing(as it was recommended by seniors and its a good course as well) but I am lagging behind a lot in it as I procrastinated a lot so I am feeling shitty about myself when I see ppl flexing about how they are so far ahead. Along with that some people have started cp, dsa etc but I know jackshit about that and some stuff which some guy is doing like web dev etc keeps coming up and I feel that pressure. Ik this is pretty normal and I knew this was going to happen but I am really struggling to deal with it.
Also how do manage time for academics, learning/practicing to code and hobbies? What are your timings and how do you manage it?

This water heater is just a little over a year old. It is gas powered. I have an expansion tank on the cold line right in front of it with 50 PSI air pressure in it. The emergency pressure valve works fine. When the burner kicks on, this high pitch noise slowly builds until its quite loud and can be heard through the whole house. When the water heater is making this noise, removing potential pressure from the line by opening faucets or dumping water from the drain valve (like shown in this video) does nothing to the noise. But turning off the burner makes it stop immediately. Any ideas on how to fix it so it doesn't make this noise any more? It only happens when the burner is on. I've tried a full flush, and it didn't have any buildup. T he expansion tank WAS waterlogged, and I thought that was going to be the problem, but I've replaced it and the noise is still present. I have searched all over the web for solutions on this problem and I'm either awful at searching the correct terms, or its just not something very well documented out there. Any help or ideas on how to further troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a video of the sound happening, draining a few gallons to test lowering line pressure, and then showing how the sound stops by shutting off the burner and resumes by turning the burner back on.
My last test was about a year ago. I asked the optician what could do that, she listed a few things such as stress, hydration, etc. I said I've changed my diet significantly, could that do it? She said it's possible. It's not really a concern at the moment, but just really unexpected.
Iβm not 100% sure if itβs related to my TMJ or if itβs just a sinus thing, but the last few days Iβve had head pressure daily so Iβm trying to get to the bottom of it. Thanks!
Hi. Iβm 27, and Iβve been having regular eye exams since I was 19 and every time, they tell me I have high pressureβnot insanely, off the charts high, but that itβs βa little elevatedβ and they donβt say much else other than they want to keep an eye on it.
In 2019, I got my first retinal imaging done. Then I got it again 2020, and again today in 2021 at my appointment. I asked my doctor today if I still had high pressure and he said yes, I do, but he pulled up the photos of my retinas taken today and they were crystal clear. He said thereβs zero sign of glaucoma and doesnβt think Iβm at any risk of developing it or any other kind of disease.
So what could cause high pressure?
So i wanted to scale down my scum and villainy setting to one huge gas giant, and the four moons surrounding it (with some deep space location added here and there). I don't want to spend much time on world-building because i don't know for how long i'm going to DM. I think that by scaling it down i may be able to increase the pressure of the faction like in blades, what do you think ?
so I've been smoking an average of 10 cigarettes a day for the past 3 years and to be honest? I don't want to stop. I like smoking, I like the feeling of it, the ritual of it, even the smell (I know, I have a problem) it calms me down and I use it to keep anxiety at bay. I don't care that it will make me sick, I don't care about dying young, and I don't care that it gives me bad breath because I ain't talking to or kissing anyone anytime soon, BUT my mom is forcing me to try to stop since it's the "no cig November" where I live. Problem : I don't want to quit. The usual "you're slowly killing yourself" and "don't you hate being dependent on something?" really won't work, trust me. do you guys have any non health related reasons to stop that might motivate me more? Any tips on how to keep temptation at bay? Can you guys aggressively pressure me into sticking to it (you're allowed to be mean, if my social anxiety gets triggered it might help) or give me your tips? Imma need help not gonna lie
Edit : currently passed the 24h without a Cig, still kinda craving but my best friend told me that "smoking is cringe" and it helps tremendously
Hi all. Recently diagnosed with Migraines within the past couple of years. This started when I what I thought was sinus type pressure started to build in my head (although I could breath freely through my nose) particularly behind one of my eyes. I tried Sumatriptan and the vasoconstriction did wonders on the headache. So, I started Nortriptyline two years ago and just recently had my first Botox injection. Overall my Migraines are less, minus the usual weather front blowing through and sending me into a days long fight with the pain. My question is has anyone experienced pressure type feeling building in your head around the sinuses that is relieved when lying down for about an hour? All imagining came back normal (CTA, MRI, CT, etc..) and a spinal pressure tap was also normal. The only thing that seems to help is vasoconstriction type meds to keep the blood vessels from being inflamed. Thanks for reading.
I'm new to playing around with these eat plugs and barometric shifts. I need to take note on what works and what doesn't. For example, I know I'm sensitive to increasing shifts, and this week the forecast says there's a steady increase in pressure that lasts a whole day, and I should try to wear them as much of the time that the weather is actively changing as possible, but that's a really long time to not be able to listen to regular earbuds. I'm talking, like, 16 hours. (I may find over time that I don't have to wear them the whole time, but again, I'm just playing around and taking notes at this stage, trying to avoid as many migraines as I can.)
I work a really boring job and listen to music and podcasts all day so I just don't think I can stand around with nothing to entertain me for a whole day while I have these awesome things in my ears, even if they seem to work great.
The alternative might be to wear over the ear headphones with them, but the reason I wear earbuds is because I'm so sensitive to pressure that I have never in my life found a pair of headphones that didn't over time feel like a vice on my skull, so I won't be likely to take that suggestion.
So, if anyone knows of earbuds that alter pressure like on an airplane but also play music, please let me know! I haven't been able to find any in my searches.
Thank you!

If High BP and migraines are related thats why beta blockers are given so why not treat hypertension if migraine treatment is failing ? I have high blood pressure 130/90 or 140/100 when ever i check my blood pressure ... I'm 19 so my doctor recommended life style changes which are not doing a thing for me .. propranolol helps abit . But there are other medications that treats high blood pressure why not try them and see if my constant headache also get treated
I recently discovered that beet juice lowers blood pressure so I'm trying to try it as well and see if it does . I wanted to ask you guys if you're facing the same issue or its just me who think like that because this pain is a misery to have in life .
There is "white coat hypertension" where people can record a normal blood pressure reading at home, but see super high readings in the doctor's office. But what happens if one has some anxiety disorder that even using a machine at home triggers a physical response?
About a month ago I did way too much cocaine, inhaled it, and was masturbating throughout the night, overall just being a bad person, had an experience where I genuinely thought I was going to have a heart attack. After a few hours of calming myself down I was able to fall asleep and even the next day I was sort of fine until I attempted masturbation and thought a cardiac episode was going to come on me again so I got someone to rush me to the hospital, ended up having an EMT meet me on the side of the road and overall turns out I had an immensely bad panic attack, they did an EKG and found no issues.
A few days later I go to the doc to get an EKG, blood test, and lung x-ray to find no issues, to this day I still feel slight pressure in my left side chest and I feel like I notice heart palpitations randomly. I can masturbate to completion but I feel as if the pressure gets a little bit worse during and shortly afterwards. Honestly this has sunk me into a depression and barely want to approach sex cause I feel like there could be complications and/or I wont be able to perform as I used to.
I am a smoker of cigs/weed and I have noticed even the smallest hit of weed makes the pressure more noticeable but never to the point of extreme discomfort. My question is besides blood test/ekg what else can a hospital do to diagnose my hearts condition, if at all?
I have read up on this a lot and know a large amount of people have experienced this so I know I am not alone, but I feel sort of hopeless sometimes thinking there is no way to put a diagnosis to what I am feeling. Either way I will never touch the stuff again. Thank you anyone for reading/responding.
What the title says. I was just writing with a Wing Sung 3009 (piston filled) and it started to burp ink uncontrollably. Switched to a Pilot Metro (with a converter) and the same thing happened. A couple minutes later it started to rain.
Both of these pens have never burped or leaked ink before. Can I blame it on climate change the weather or should I investigate further?
