Former SNC Trustee Dan Dickinsonβs Green Bay Press-Gazette Op-Ed
On July 27 Green Bay Press-Gazette had an interesting guest column. Apparently we are all being unfair to Fr. Jay Fostner. Dan Dickinson, Founder/Chairman of G.A.S Capital, and former member of the SNC Board of Trustees, writes that there is a misconception that the seven board resignations were somehow linked to Fr Fostner. He left the Board of Trustees because he felt that since he did not support SNC President Bruess any longer, he was morally obligated to leave. That was his decision. He can step down for whatever reason he wants. Dan says his decision to resign had nothing to do with Fostner. Really Dan?? Are you sure about that?? Your inability to continue to support SNC President Bruess was a DIRECT RESULT of the Student Government Association and student body support of SNC President Bruess and his student-centric leadership in handling the mess that Fr. Jay Fostner created. But I get it, after all, how could the Board of Trustees possibly support a President who the students and Student Government Association also supported, right?? You can say your decision had nothing to do with Fr. Jay Fostner all you want, but I say it had EVERYTHING to do with Fr. Jay Fostner and the mess of a situation he created.
Dan Dickinson also claimed that βthere is a common misunderstanding that Fr. Fostner was somehow responsible for all things related to Title IX at the college.β The debate isnβt about what part of the sandbox was Jayβs and/or Title IXβs, but rather JAYβs PERSONAL MISHANDLING of sexual assault reports, including failing to report incidents of rape and sexual abuse to ACTUAL law enforcement.
In her September 26, 2018 viral Facebook post, Margaret Uselman (SNC β17) listed several instances, in great detail, of how JAY was negligent in his mishandling reports of sexual assault and rape on the SNC campus.
As noted in a previous Reddit post, Margaret Uselman made it clear that this wasnβt about Title IX, it was about FR. JAY FOSTNER.

In the spirit of April Fool's Day, let's turn back the clock 78 years to 1943. To celebrate the day, the Green Bay Press-Gazette decided to run a joke story about the fate of their hometown team's stadium, but some people did not seem to get the memo...
The date was Thursday, April 1, 1943. As the sun began to set, Green Bay residents picked up the evening edition of the Green Bay Press-Gazette when they were greeted by a shocking sight on the front page: a farmer pulling a horse-drawn plow through City Stadium, one of the Packers' home fields since 1925.
When you see your NFL team's field being torn up, you're going to want more context. For those who want the TL;DR, the accompanying story explains the stadium was to be converted into a victory garden, which civilians were encouraged to grow at home or in parks for food as World War II raged on. Since this meant the stadium would indefinitely be in anything but football condition, the Packers would instead play their home games for the 1943 season at military bases.
For those who want the full story, Ann Weizenegger had the report:^[1]
> #Packer Field to Be Plowed Up!
> After heated discussion last night, the city council voted to plough under the Packer football field for use as a community victory garden this summer.
> Ploughmen began to turn the sod this morning, and by Friday it is expected the field will be ready for cultivation. A woman's committee by noon today had secured a list of 47 women's groups who will form the first vanguard of Gridiron Gardeners.
> Councilmen decided to convert city stadium from football to food because of the acute shortage of both fresh and canned vegetables. At first Joannes or Fisk park were considered as sites, but proponents gave way when it was pointed out that the ticket windows will make ideal outlets both for handing out work assignments and distributing the produce. In addition, the high walls will keep out marauders.
> What's a Little Tile
> Conversion of the field to a garden will force the Green Bay Packers to use the West High stadium as a practice field, a shift which football spokesmen said they would gladly make in the interests of victory. It does not affect the Packer game schedule, however, as the corporation had earlier decided to play games this season only before army and navy camp

(BCI) for their escalating unconscionable treatment of employees, union members and managers alike.
In further protest of this hostile work environment, PG journalists will withhold their bylines from stories, photographs and graphics beginning Wednesday and continuing indefinitely. Members who work on the copy and web desks and therefore who do not have bylines will wear buttons reading "I support the byline strike."
Additionally, all members will wear "No Confidence" buttons in the newsroom as well as stickers supporting mistreated managers and decrying BCI's cruelty. (Please see attached).
Both the no-confidence vote and byline strike were overwhelmingly approved by Guild members at an emergency membership meeting today.
"Keith Burris, John Robinson Block and his twin brother Allan, BCI chairman, have declared an unprecedented scorched-earth war on their employees and the culture of the PG newsroom," said Michael A. Fuoco, a 35-year PG reporter and Guild president of the local representing 140 journalists.
"They have created a culture of fear, hostility and intimidation in the newsroom. They have transformed a previously collegial, pleasant and enjoyable workplace -- one conductive to Guild members fulfilling our journalistic calling -- into a tense, toxic environment, bereft of joy and respect.
"We must take a stand against this orchestrated attack on the very soul of the newspaper we love. We find it hypocritical of Burris to opine his columns about t he need for civility in society when his treatment of employees is so outrageously uncivil."
Burris, whose controversial appointment as executive editor occurred nine months ago, has:
