My server stopped POST-ing the other day. Stripping everything out revealed the culprit: 3 blown capacitors and some scorch marks on the pads of one of the 2 processors.

No POST and BIOS showing on GPU output, only on processor graphics

Hello,

I recently got a new motherboard and CPU. It's an ASUS Prime Z590-P Gaming motherboard and an i5 11600k.

When I plug my monitor into the GPU I do not get to see a POST or the BIOS. I only start seeing an output on the display once Windows starts booting. But when I plug my monitor into the motherboard directly everything works fine. I then also see the BIOS mirrored on my second monitor, which is still plugged into the GPU. How can I fix this? I'm done with changing cables ever time I want to adjust something in the BIOS.

Edit: Solved. Solution can be found here: https://old.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/s4j32m/no_post_and_bios_showing_on_gpu_output_only_on/?ref=share&ref_source=link

A little different kind of post. DIY power footswitches to pass/cut power for strobe and flood lights. Three pedals on my board were ones I built. Topped it off with a vocal processor to frighten children and up spookiness for my neighborhood. Droned out trick or treat was fun this year. youtube.com/watch?v=EMGzP…

ASUS Prime Z390-P Motherboard with Intel LGA 1151 G4930 Celeron processor won't POST

I'm wondering if simply turning the power switch ON on my PSU is enough to start the system? Typically you have to hit power on your tower board that turns the system on right?

I've reseated my RAM in the correct slot, reset the CMOS/BIOS jumper and removed CMOS battery multiple times, reseated the 24 pin MBoard power and 8 pin CPU power several times, I've also removed the CPU chip and fan and inspected it, and everything looks fine with my pins. The board uses a LGA 1151 slot, which is what CPU is.

My PSU is good and there are LED lights that show up on the motherboard when i turn on the power switch, but I dont get a POST and no output to my display, my cpu fan also doesnt come on.

This is my first mining rig, but I've built PCs before and work in IT so im not clueless. Thanks for any replies.

Any tips on how to write your own post processor file?

Hello!

I recently upgraded my CAM software from UCanCam V9.6 to Aspire V10.5 and the problem I'm facing right now is that the Aspire doesn't have the post processor for my CNC. The old CAM software's post processor file is in .set format which the Aspire doesn't like, yet when just changing the extension it shows that the first line is not valid, after deleting that one, the second one is not valid and so on. Now I am left with just rewriting the post process file myself, but I have little to no knowledge on how to do so. I was hoping someone in this community might have some advice on how to do so or some articles they may lead me to.

Thanks in advance!

And if it helps here is the .set file I'm trying to get in Aspire ----

What should I tweak to enhance the performance of the CPU (and system in general)? Everything is severely lagging, and as far as I'm aware, way more than it should with this kind of processor (Intel i7-10750H). Please comment which configs, specs, etc. I should post to resolve this issue. v.redd.it/1th6zso0tyh71
