A list of puns related to "Polish Law"
Wouldn't it be awsome if some top story driven, action packed developer, such as CD project red, decided to create a game around the first law. A game with a mixture of crime thriller (Glokta), pure carnage (Logen) and story galore, with side quests they could expand the lore and give us the First Law world in a more meaningful and fulfilling way. My only gripe with Abercrombie is that, like the bloody nine, I can never get enough of his world "More....".
I have just read the story about the woman in Poland who died cause the doctors didnt perform life saving operation to remove an UNVIABLE fetus and waited for natural miscarriage. The Polish governnent can now be officially called murderer. So I guess here is reason number 236 to not have a kid. They will just kill you cause dead fefus is more important.
A really disturbed Hungarian woman

New tax law (dubbed "New Deal" lol) is being introduced in Poland, amid to widespread opposition. Polish prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki, on his Facebook profile published a graphics with a description.
Description reads: 99.995% of people earning no more than 12800 PLN/month won't lose on net earnings by New Deal.
Meanwhile, the graphics is slightly reformulated: 99.995% of people in Poland earn no more than 12800 PLN/month. They won't lose on net earnings by New Deal.
Bad math: of course, more than 0.005% of people earn more than 12800 (this amounts to roughly 2000 people and it's frankly ridiculous). The graphics seems to imply that if you're Polish, you're most likely not affected.
The reality is different though. Data from 2017 imply that 12876 PLN amounts to top 3% percent of Poles. The same data shows that top 0.01% earn more than 335000 PLN (so, about $1.08M a year). We have galloping inflation so this has probably greatly increased. For instance, minimum wage since then already raised by a factor of about 1.6.
Given the recent history of polish gov manipulating mass media, it's hard to believe that such mistake was an honest one, however if anybody has a clear explanation of why this might be a common slip in reasoning of the graphic designer, please let me know.
Everytime any major news outlet post a YouTube video on the Polish anti gay laws and their negative impact, the comments are swarmed by right wing people who denounce it as being anti polish propaganda. It fits in with the wider trend of conservatives in the west who fetishize eastern European countries that are ultra right wing and anti gay.
The anti gay laws in Poland have been going on for a few years now and those who support the laws have used the exact same phrases when talking about it. They are still bitching about "wokeness" and muh lGbT iDeoLoGy, it's like they are stuck in 2016.
Its also hilarious that they claim to be speaking out against authoritarianism yet support what amounts to state sanctioned discrimination and suppression of free speech.
I'm an idiot, so I'm asking for help!
My mother in-law is a wonderful woman. Positive, funny as hell...
I've listened and I've seen her family photos, and I've noticed the subtle and rare sentimentality in her eyes when she reminisces about her Polish parents.
Last Christmas, I went sentimental (usually she and I exchange gag gifts). I got her a polish Santa and those two kissing salt/pepper shakers. She was soooo happy.
This year has been a difficult one for my wife and me, and around every corner stood my MIL. Cooked and delivered meals, hugs, laughs to help wipe away tears.
She fills me with the feeling of family, and I'd really like to continue that by giving her more symbols of her own. She's approaching 70 to assist you with suggestions.
Thanks for helping this idiot give back to someone who has done so much for him.
Happy holidays to you, and even if you don't reply, give a hug to your mom and pops, ya?
Edit: She was born and raised in America. Parents were Polish immigrants.
