A list of puns related to "Pitbull Dog"
We've seen you out and about a few times! Naturally we're always avoiding each other, since I too have a reactive pitbull. But I can tell you and your dog have made so much progress over the last months, even from just the occasional sighting - several months ago your dog was lunging and barking, and last night we walked past at about the same distance while you were managing treats and praise for good behavior. So, I don't want to interrupt your training or mine by telling you so in person, but you're doing great and keep up the good work :)
This is just the first page - and even the "Labrador Retriever mix" looks pittie to me. Page after page it's just pitties. These breeders keep breeding but why if they just end up in shelters? I don't get it.

Yea right. When I was 11 I had a friendly, family oriented, oh so sweet pitbull who belonged to a friend, attack me and rip a hunk of my flesh out when I hadn't even so much as touched it. I was just trying to pour food into its bowl because I was helping my friend with her chores (the faster she got them done, the faster her mom would take us out for ice cream). I tried to run away when it lunged at me but it chased me, bit my ass, and refused to let go until it had removed a chunk of my fat entirely. It was extremely traumatic and I'm still mad that the dog wasn't put down.
But yea, people who dislike pitbulls have never interacted with them, because how could you possibly hate them after meeting one? π These people just make up false narratives because they're in denial that there are people who have actually been attacked by "friendly" pitbulls.
Just got in from a walk. Our dog is leash reactive to some dogs, we're working on it and we try to avoid encounters with certain dogs when on walks. If we ever cross paths with another dog, he'll probably bark at the other dog, so we get his attention back on us and move away from the other dog.
So we get to an intersection, and suddenly there's this guy with a white and brown spotted pitbull down the road to our right, our dog barks at his dog, his dog is pulling and barking to get at our dog. We speed up and continue down the road and this guy turns the corner and starts following us.
Our dog keeps looking back and barking at his dog, and this guy is power walking as fast as he can right at us. He's yelling at us to get our dog under control, and saying that his dog will eat ours. I yell back at him that we're trying to get away from him, and he just keeps getting closer and closer with his dog pulling and barking at ours. He's was absolutely looking for a fight. He said he's walking this way and tells us to move over or his dog will fuck us up, and starts calling my girlfriend a whore and shit like that. Absolute trash.
Every morning and night I take my dog to the park. Earlier this week she was accosted by one of the only pit bulls who ever goes there and was bit on the shoulder, no severe bite wounds but they were βplayingβ so the guy says.
His dog was at the dog park this morning and made a beeline for my dog and another dog that were actually play wrestling. Pepper (pitbull) went and bit the dog that mine was actually playing with and made his ear bleed severely. The ignorant owner did not see this. The other owner left.
My dog was sitting at my feet and not 5 minutes later, his dog goes for the same spot the seroma is on her body. I must have gave his dog a nasty look because the owner came over to me well within anyoneβs normal bubble or space and asked if there was a problem.
I unloaded.
I said his dog was dog aggressive, thatβs what pits were bred for, that I had to spend $300 at the emergency vet for antibiotics and drainage because of how his dog βplaysβ, that he doesnβt ever watch his dog at the park, that his dog has zero business being in a dog park, that other owners leave because of his dog, that Pepper drew blood from a dog today, that he latches on and other dogs do not have a chance to defend themselves.
And after all of that, having another owner coming to defend me, and agree his dog absolutely sucks and should not be at a dog park he said, βWhereβs the blood?β
The only argument he had with me is I donβt socialize at the dog park and sit with the other owners. No shit, itβs 6:00AM and Iβm here for an hour and a half with my Aussie, thatβs a high energy dog. Iβm here to exercise her for the day, not to socialize. I go to bars for that, not the dog park.
This had to be the worst experience I have ever had with a pitbull owner. Every single statement Iβd say, heβd patronize and say it back dumbfounded in a question. He would be a phenomenal lawyer.
I said I will stab your dog if they attack my dog and she can not defend herself. He said βWell Iβll stab you.β Iβm a woman in my late 20βs, heβs a man in his 50βs. He was embarrassing himself saying all this in front of his 10 year old daughter.
These people are fucking lunatics and go hand in hand with the dogs they own.
My IG sponsored feed is ruined with pitbull breeders and people who feel that their mauler needs a whole page dedicated to them.
I have no self control when it comes to the cropped ears. I have posted on many pages asking why do they think it is ok to cut up their dog's ears, they are animals abusers etc.
Not a single one has explained themselves. I keep asking them to stand over their actions since they have made maulers their whole personality. People get so angry and threats is all I have received.
Six medical appointments later after an 80lb βlab-mixβ pit bull attack, and my wrist is still messed the eff up.
I donβt care if you think your dog is nice (itβs not).
I donβt care if you think it is well trained (youβre lying if you say it is).
Keep your dog on a leash.
Or better yet, donβt get a mf dog in the first place! Most of the time on base owners leave their pooches sitting in the tiny yard surrounded by dogshit. Or in the house doing jack shit, bored out of their minds. Yβall donβt even act like you want these poor dogs. Save the dog the animal abuse and donβt buy it.
/end rant
I have a medium sized (40 lb) husky/retriever/who knows mix named Hope. She is six. She is cautious around other dogs and sometimes a bit growly, but otherwise fine. I'm a teacher and she comes to school everyday with me to hang out with the kids. She is very well trained, with 100% recall and otherwise almost perfect obedience. Yesterday I was at the local park. Even though I know better I let Hope off the leash. She was staying within 10 feet of me. A couple came up to me with a pitbull on a leash. Hope cautiously greeted the pitbull and everything was ok. Another couple came along with a labradoodle not on leash. The couple let the pitbull off the leash and all three dogs were happily playing for about 10 minutes. I knew the owners of the labradoodle and they knew the owners of the pitbull. Hope really dislikes being humped (who does?) so when the Labradoodle tried to hump her she responded with a growl and snap. At this point the pitbull went berserk. It attacked both dogs but got a hold of Hope's ear and started shaking her like a ragdoll. Hope was screaming (which is uncharacteristic, I have never heard her scream) and four of us were trying to pry the pitbull's jaws off Hopes ear. The owner stuck his finger up the pitbull's butt and the pitbull released Hope. Hard to say who's fault it was was. The pitbull's owners of course said he had never done that before and seemed as shocked as myself. I am just glad she didn't get bitten on the neck or throat as she would be dead. Hope is not badly injured but she is very sore and has a tear and puncture injuries in her ear. The vet suggested we let it heal and administer antibiotics if needed later. My concern is that she is terrified. She won't go outside so far, and she started trembling when she saw the neighbors tiny chihuahua. She's also been terrified of humans. I have worked very hard over the years to train her and I am worried she is going to become reactive to people and dogs. What are some suggestions you folks might have to help her?
The situation is pretty straightforward. This happened in Illinois. My brother (17) and pekingese were outside in our backyard when the neighbors pitbull escaped from their backyard and ran around the house into our property, where the pitbull then attacked my dog. My brother then impulsively tackled the pitbull and pulled its mouth open to release my dog. This left both with some pretty nasty bite marks.
He filed a police report on the spot and I was able to take both of them to get medically treated the same day. Luckily my brother has insurance so I only paid about $50 for his medication. My dogs bills were a little higher, about $370. I confronted the neighbors, who quickly became defensive and aggressive, saying its not thier fault their dog escaped, and denying any responsibility for the attack. As a dog owner, I truly understand that things happen and would have just settled with them helping out with the bills, as they are legally liable for the injuries. But the way they reacted saying "you're lucky your dog didn't die" and them screaming profanities at me and my family really just threw me over the edge.
Currently, I plan on taking them to small claims court for the dog bills, the time i took off work to take care of my dog and brother, and any court fees as well. But is there anything else I can do? I have proof of the confrontation as well as pictures of their dog constantly escaping, or being left for hours out in the snow, and even beat with sticks. Ideally, I would want the dog taken away, as they have proven time and time again that they have no consideration for the dogs or anyone elses well-being. And in my brothers case, is there anything I (or my mother) can sue for? Since he has insurance, theres really no medical bills we can provide. And if so how can we go about this?
This is the first time we have had a problem like this and any help is greatly appreciated π
Edit: Wow! I never expected to get so many replies. Seriously I want to thank each and every one of you for helping me and my family through this difficult time. It gives us hope that there are so many good people willing to help. We have been going through the comments and I try my best to reply to as many as I can. I definitely feel more at ease and truly glad I have a several options.
Here's one just a day or 2 ago:

Sweet pibble just was trying to play when it ripped my dogs scalp off last year. Sweet pibble mauled their owners arm and shoulder today when she tried to stop it from attacking ANOTHER dog. (Other dog luckily only had minor wounds)
I am just so glad the monster was put down today and no place for me to celebrate cause too many pibble sympathizers in my area.... but one less monster on the street.
Any and all support appreciated -- I don't usually post but my mom put this together and she loves her dog too much for me to stay silent.
Edit: Paperwork and bills have been added to the page. Ziggy is currently recovering at home.
It seems the Pitbull ban in the UK is not as useless as I thought.
