A list of puns related to "Piccadilly Line"
why is turnham green limated service?
I normally take this route when going to and from the airport, but it looks like there may be some kind of closure between Dec. 27 and the 30th? Is this true or am I misreading the website?
If it is closed does anyone have a recommendation for the best route to take that is NOT Heathrow Express? I know that is the fastest route, but there are three of us (so it would be 66 pounds--> $88).
It looks like I can take the light rail to Paddington (although it only leaves from terminal 5 in the evenings, so I would have to transfer to terminal 2/3 and then take it and even then they are running a reduced service). Would it be better to get a cab or uber and split the cost between the three people?
Or should I just bite the bullet and buy the Heathrow express tickets? And if so, should I buy them there or online before my flight?
one nice thing about the underground is the variety of trains and the character they have, so it Would be good to retain such a variety

This has already been reported to the BTP, but sharing here in case it helps anyone.
I was travelling home from Central London today on the Picca, I sat myself down at the very front of the train (right against the driver cabin wall), the train was relatively quiet with only a few passengers on, but it surely wasn't empty either.
A few stops on I noticed two guys got on the second carriage, they then walked through the train partition door and sat themselves down a few seats away from me. I didn't pay too much attention to them at this point, but I did notice their behaviour being a bit unusual. They occupied two middle opposite seats in a way that would probably discourage anyone from walking past them. And I noticed they were check on me a few times.
A few stops later the two guys shuffled, one sat opposite me and the next one sat right next to me, and the guy next to me started asking me questions.
"Where are you going?"
"What is that phone you're using?"
"Are you carrying any cash?"
"Are you sure you don't have cash, will I find some if I search you?"
I gave them some vaguest answers and jokingly said who carry cash these days.
I wasn't entirely sure why, but they probably decided against mugging, and they got off the train as soon as the train pulled into Barons Court station.
I didn't really know what to make of it at that moment, and after they've gotten off another passenger said he noticed the two guys had their hands in their pockets all the time, he wasn't sure if they're holding anything either, such as knives.
When I spoke with BTP they told me something similar had happened yesterday, but they couldn't do anything because technically the two guys didn't mug me, even though the BTP police officer agreed it was a mugging attempt.
Going forward I will not sit at the end of the carriage anymore, at least that way I won't get cornered by 2 unarmed or armed guys, and if I have to run I could bail at the next station.
Hi,
I have to make a quick dash into Knightsbridge next week. Iβm coming from outside of London and am hoping to find somewhere somewhat close (within 20mins walk) to a Piccadilly line tube station so I can literally ride in, do what I have to do, and ride out.
Iβll be coming from the West (M4) hence south-western side of the Piccadilly line.
Any suggestions?
NB: train isnβt really viable due to the expense and logistics of getting to my local train station. A βquick dashβ suddenly becomes an expensive all-day ordeal.

In this context, is "to other destinations" the same as "bound for other destinations"?
