I am currently a graduate student (F1 international) in a US university and I am paid a monthly stipend which I have to do taxes for. I am currently in my home country and the school is asking me to go back to the US even though all my classes are online. Would there be any tax related issues if I stayed home? When I did my taxes, I recall having to report the dates when I am in the US and I am wondering if that will cause any issues if I were to receive my stipend while not being in the US.
Hey there folks. Reposting this for visibility!
I've got a collection I built up over 20 years, a long box full of mostly complete runs of stuff by Anders Nilsen, Charles Burns, Sammy Harkham, Chester Brown, Hernandez Bros, Brandon Graham, Alan Moore, James Kochalka, Adrian Tomine, Gipi, Daniel Clowes, etc. Some stuff is signed by artists / authors and sketched in.
I'm at the point where I need the space more than I need the comics, and want it to go to fellow indie comics enthusiasts. Happy to sell single issues, but would like to keep full runs intact.
Full list here, with each issue give an approx grading. Most stuff is VF condition, some verging on NM. UK buyers preferred, but if you're willing to take the hit on international postage, message me up and we can talk. Price will be based on ebay average of sold listings, but I try to offer the best possible price without fleecing myself.
PM if interested. I can point to 100% ebay feedback from years of selling as well as vouchces in the old sales thread here from happy customers on the group.

Hi everyone! This year I moved overseas and one of the big challenges was bringing my collection with me. Luckily I was successfully able to bring almost all of my games in 3 large containers on my flight to my new home.
In order to save on space I ended up combining a couple games in the same box, taking out unnecessary inserts. Any games with a blue piece of painters tape on them have more than one game inside.
Hereβs a breakdown:
How long have you been in the hobby?
Iβve been playing games off and on my whole life. I played a lot of TCGs when I was younger. I started to get more serious about the hobby and started my collection in 2015.
What would you change about your collection if you could?
I think the obvious one would be separating these combined games back into their original boxes. Itβs not crucial but it would better show people what games I have available. I was able to save all the boxes at my parents house and I hope to bring some of the empty boxes back with me when I visit them. In addition, there are a handful of games that I wasnβt able to bring with me that Iβll try to bring in the future.
Your newest game?
I received the Canvas Kickstarter a day before I moved! My collecting really started to slow down the past 2-3 years knowing I was planning on moving overseas. Iβm pretty happy with where my collection is currently.
My top ten favorite games (not in any particular order):
At last! I was able to acquire a Vacheron Overseas recently. It's been a watch that have wanted for a long time. The dial is absolutely beautiful and the bracelet is on another level. I always considered Rolex bracelets to be the high standard, but the Oversea is just in another world.
From left to right:
- Sinn 356 UTC Flieger - This is the first "luxury" watch I bought, nearly 15 years ago. It's the watch I wear the most even now. BTW, the SINN rubber straps are the best I have ever seen.
- Rolex Milgauss - Being an engineer by trade, this has always been the Rolex I wanted. And I love the fact that it's so rare seeing another person with it.
- Grand Seiko Skyflake - The dial and construction on this watch are just amazing. I put a more casual strap on it so I can wear on everyday situations. Of all my watches, this one is the hardest to really show on picture. It's far more beautiful in real life.
- Vacheron Constantin Overseas with Silver Guilloche dial - My latest purchase, and my long time grail watch.
- Omega Seamaster Professional 300M - Awesome watch for the price.

This has been ongoing for years at this point. Iβm British but moved to the US immediately after I graduated in 2015. Student finance England started trying to take the maximum repayment for overseas folks out of my Barclays current account until it was drained, I was young and stupid and didnβt realize this was happening for a while because I wasnβt using the account and wasnβt sure what to do about my student loans debt.
Since then I have filled out their proof of income overseas form probably 10+ times, called them on the phone countless times. They will not accept any proof of income I can provide. I am a self employed freelancer and have been consistently. I have sent them my tax returns, copies of checks, bank statements, they just reject it all. Last time I called the woman on the phone said βcanβt you get some kind of notarized letter from the US government saying how much you earnβ (obviously not).
Theyβve now sent the amount theyβve tried to take (about Β£7k overall) to arrears. I donβt have it. I am at a complete loss.
Help appreciated!
Hello everyone. I am coming to the UK for my Erasmus internship and now I have been stuck in a process of getting a T5 GAE visa for more than 2 Months. However, it looks like using priority services, I will get it after one month. However, I am a little bit worried about collecting BRP on time upon my arrival in the UK.
In a visa application guide that was sent to me by T5 team, who issued me the Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS), it was indicated that I have to collect my BRP within 10 days of the date I stated in my visa application I would arrive in the UK (even if I actually arrive at a later date). The problem is that my arrival date to the UK in the visa application is 18th October 2021. However, it turned out that visa application center works only twice per month, so I have to wait until 20th October to get to visa application centre which means that even using priority services I will be late to the UK. I plan to collect my BRP on the 29th October (it is probably the 12th day, not the 10th). Is it really a problem? I see on gov.uk website the info that they choose whatever the date is later - 10 days upon arrival or vignette sticker expiry date. Do you know anything about that?
By the way, how do they count 10 days? If my date of arrival is 18th, so it's the first day, right? And they do not exclude weekends?
I would appreciate any kind of help or listening to the experience that you had!

Halo Collective is a cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution company that grows, extracts, and processes cannabis flower, oils, edibles and concentrates. They operate in the US, Canada, the UK, the Republic of Malta and Africa. The share price hasnβt been doing well over the last year but the company is in the middle of a restructuring, and has expanded their operations so I think theyβre poised for a big turnaround, hereβs why.
They had record revenue of $3.9 million USD in August, that represents a 94% increase relative to the same month last year, including recent acquisitions; Winberry Farms and three KushBar retail cannabis stores in Alberta, Canada. Organic revenue growth, excluding the acquisitions was 19%.
Their latest quarter results from Q2 2021 were really good. Their revenues grew from $5.2 million in Q2 last year to $9.1 million this year. Total sales were 4.3 million grams of cannabis products, thatβs a YoY increase of over 300% with most of their sales coming from California and Oregon. Gross profit doubled relative to the same quarter last year so all in all they had an amazing quarter.
They recently closed the acquisition of Pistil Point, part of their deal with Food Concepts LLC. Pistil Point is a 55,000 square foot, indoor cannabis cultivation, processing, and wholesaling facility inΒ Portland, Oregon. The highlight of the property is the location, they are within an hours drive from 70% of Portlands population. The acquisition makes them one of the biggest indoor growers in Oregon, expanding their production by 250%. Now that the deal is closed they have the ability to open Oregons largest wholesale cash-and-carry showroom, carrying products from approximately 30 farms and 12 leading brands representing over 100 unique SKUs.
They have an exclusive partnership with DNA Genetics that creates additional revenue streams for Halo because any other companies that want to sell DNA brand cannabis need to license it from Halo.
Halo distributes medicinal cannabis in the UK through CANMART Limited, this also means the have a supply chain set up for when cannabis eventually gets legalized overseas.
Their partnership with DNA Genetics also includes a 200-hectare cultivation campus in the Kingdom of Lesotho in Africa. They're focused on growing high THC premium strains for the international medical market. Production at the campus is increasing to meet the growing demand for medical cannabis in Europe and
