A list of puns related to "Operations Security"
If so who are you using or do you have any recommendations or advice? We would like to look at partnering with a SOC ( Security Operations Center) service provider and reselling to our clients so we can reduce our risk from a security perfective. I have a call into Skout but there are so many providers out there and most seem to be well set up to work with MSPs. I have no idea at this point what these services might cost and how much extra work their findings will generate for us as an MSP so any insights here would be appreciated.
Thank you!
I tested positive for COVID and I was told I need to call SOC to file a claim.
It has been 3 days now. I cannot even be put on hold, the system says they have "exceptionally high call volume" and then tells me to call back later and drops me.
I once got the option for a callback, but when that happened the system dropped my call again.
I don't even know why I need to do this anymore.
Anyone with suggestions?
A few things I'd like to disclaim before I make this post: Firstly, I'm not a financial advisor in any means, nor do I claim to hold all the answers, I just wanted to share my findings in checking potential links between Citadel/Computershare. I hold XXX GME and have held since $300 in January, never selling, always holding. So without further ado, I just want to present my findings here, I don't claim to hold definitive answers.
I also will state I currently do have holdings in Computershare, albeit not added to the DRS bot.
I'm also pretty shit at writing research due to my scatterbrain tendencies, so bare with me and I'll just walk through what I did, to find what I did:
Firstly I tried to look at potential links, like possible outsourced services between the two (I don't think I found outsource services per se, but it was my start):
Going into the first link (2010), I found the following on their business overview:

... keep reading on reddit β‘With the events unfolding in Burma, we need to increase our presence at the border to ensure that we can handle any transgressions committed by the Burmese. Already they have forced Indians out of the country, and we have taken responsibility for their safety.
4 Battalions of the Assam Rifles (5,600 troops) will be deployed along the border to conduct anti-insurgency operations. Given the large border, we do expect them to be spaced out, but this is also in support of the already present Border Security Forces.
The Alfa Squadron of the 9 Garud Commando Battalion (65 operators) will also be deployed, working alongside the Assam Rifles. They will be separated into their 4 platoons (16 operators each), with each platoon embedding themselves with an Assam Rifle Battalion.
To support these operations which are mostly counter-insurgency on the border, we will have 4 Mi-1T and 8 Mi-4 supporting the troops. 1 Mi-1T and 2 Mi-4 per Assam Rifles Battalion. We think that this deployment should be sufficient for both the show of force and counter-insurgency operations.
What exactly does this job entail? Seems like you sit behind a screen all day and watch for shoplifting? Iβm interested in applying for it, as I have a bachelors degree in criminology, but not sure if it would be worth it.
Why doesnβt Sheetz post wages/salary on job postings? I donβt really want to interview for a job that I would be making half of what I currently make. Any input?
I'm hoping to get advice on deciding the better degree path for me. A little background, my wife recently graduated from WGU and now I get to go back after dropping out of college in the early 2000s. I've worked in virtual call centers and remote tech support for 4+ years and landed my first salary gig as a Technical Support Specialist 2 years ago.
While I've always considered myself moving in the Operations Infrastructure for the bulk of this time, a disaster of a new *cough* premature *cough* web app launch, I've been spending more time using SQL and TSQL. I've found some joy in being able to retrieve and analyze the data to identify potential problems, providing insights, and building reports to work around the "less developed" portions of our app.
While I know that Network Operations and Security would open a lot of branching paths down the road, I fear that I wouldn't have near as many lucrative and diverse options with Data Management/Data Analytics without the need for a Masters Degree. I would guess that some of it also boils down to going with the path I've watched for years or something newer (to me).
Any advice would be helpful and greatly appreciated!
