What do you think about them? Are they somehow cooperating culture/economics vise? Also wonder what do you think about 400 000 germans living in Russia. How does it affect German relationship with Russia if it does at all?

This is why I’m super bullish on crypto as a German.

For multiple years Germany has a fairly high tolerance for crypto. No taxes if you hold your coins for more then a year.

TL;DR: the German government aim for years is to take every opportunity with the blockchain technology and its potential of the transition into a digital currency. The still young and innovative blockchain economy should keep a solid place and grow in the German economy.

As a German myself I was actually surprised reading this official strategy since I actually barely know any Germans that are into crypto. ( beside a few fellow informatics students ) It’s crazy to me to see the government being ahead over the people of a country in this field.

Also big news: one of the parties that just got elected into the government already sees fist as the “alternative currency” of the future.

Hi I go by Zephyr on Discord. I'm the admin for the Global Fantasy Life Online discord. I just wanted to mention we have a French language channel now. Ask either Zephyr (the blue Kirby under the moderator list) or Sylvelune ( The newest and French-speaking moderator for our discord) for the French role. I will be adding it into a new reaction-roles menu I have to plan out soon.

We might be getting a German Channel in few days as well since one of our other moderators Mysticales knows German.

Now the final piece of news. I'm gathering up translators for a fan translation project for FLO. We got the files for the text through official channels.

So the first few steps are:

1. To find some JP -> ENG translators to help with fixing the errors in the English text.* The more we get to help the quicker we can start on translating the text into other languages.
2. To find translators in various languages that are interested in translating English into the language of their choice.
3. We will mostly be working in a google sheet document and communicating through discord.* You will need to provide your email to gain access to the document

So I provided a picture of my profile in the event you need to either join the official discord to know who to look for for either the French language role, or an inquiries to the fan-translation project.

Most importantly the app has a silent mode so that you are not called back in case you are in a dangerous situation where being noticed puts you in more danger.

There is even a demonstration mode so you can see how it works before you have to use it. My phone is set to English and the app is translated well.

My husband and I (CH residents) watch the point de presse and Medienmitteilung from the Swiss Government on YouTube and have been wondering about how the language proficiency level of the various government officials and experts is for native speakers in CH. I’m thinking particularly of Berset’s and Parmelin’s German and really any of the non-Swiss French politicians’ French. I usually don’t hear any of them speaking Italian and I’ve been watching regularly for the past 1.5 years. Are they typically understood and received well? Do you have to be fluent in French and German to be a politician? What about Italian?
