A list of puns related to "Noncustodial Parent"
Hi All,
I am currently filling out a separate css profile for my dad since my parents were divorced. I'm at the submit application page but it only asks me to pay the 25 dollar application fee. I have already paid the 16 dollar per college cost when I first did the css profile for my mother so does this mean that I don't have to pay that again? Would the css profile that I filled out for my dad be automatically linked with my first css profile? Sorry for all the questions. The whole this is super confusing. Thanks
If you all could comment what your checklist looks like at your tanked schools, that would be amazing because Iβm very concerned
I am a father of a 15 year old daughter i have been trying her whole life to keep her custody out of court. As i grew up ib the family court with long out battles for custody i didn't want that for my child. So I been the complaint parent sending olive branches to her mother sacrificing my time with my daughter to prevent drama. It seems aa this is no longer an option I need to get custody on paper. Recently her mother literally put her put and told me to take her that she couldn't deal with her anymore. That she would get get every other weekend... Said that she was disrespectful. this isn't the first time her mother is a alcoholic and my daughter has complained about verbal abuse including mocking my daughter during disagreements. The week before she put her out she dropped her off to me and said she needed a break.
My daughter has been over here for the past 3 weeks . I advised her mother to take her to Lunch or go somewhere before she spends the night again over there. My daughters grandmother (her moms mom) and I agreed its best that my daughter is around the mother until she gets help. They currently live with the grand parents have been since my daughter was born actually since ny daughter mom was born 37 years so she never has moved out. Last week her mom demanded for her to come spend the night I asked my daughter and she said its ok with her. She went over there and a few hours later I get a text from my daughter saying can i pick her up.. then i get a text from the mom saying that i could pick her up from school tomorrow and she is done with my daughter... i called my daughter and asked what happened and she said that her mom said she was being too loud playing roblox. Mind you its 6pm on a Sunday.. my daughter said she the quiet Down and put her ear buds in and her mom then told her give me your phone you are too loud and she could go back with me . The next morning after I'm guessing the alcohol wore off her mom texted me saying that she wanted her back and we can go back to me getting her every other weekend.
My 15 year old wants to be here at last until her mom gets help. I want the same im tired of getting verbally abused in text messages and phone calls and I'm tired of her treating my child like a game where she can just hand her off and her he when she wants.. She had not held a real job in her life , she depends on my child support she lives with her parents my daughter shares a room with her... i have held back but now

My child, 8, is severely disobedient and Iβm not very sure where it stems from, but being scared to discipline as noncustodial is a real thing. I donβt know where to start as dad is very high conflict which usually discourages me as a parent. Any ideas?
Title sums it up. Hearing scheduled for August 20, and my ex has visited the kids twice for less than an hour since I initially filed in late April. I understand him not texting me but he has refused to download a coparenting app and has not even reached out to our oldest on her personal cell phone. Is he just shooting himself in the foot at this point?
My husband and I have tried multiple times to file our taxes, and the Gov't won't tell us what is wrong period. During this fiasco we find out his Ex-Wife has been claiming his son for Food Stamps. Would this have screwed up our taxes, being that we're claiming the son as a dependent in our household and not hers? I have a feeling that it does, I just want to confirm.
Edit: because the bot said I forgot, I'm in Alabama.
TW: suicide
Hi all, have my hearing coming up soon. My ex responded to my initial child support filing and did not agree with the amount (not surprising) I am not budging on the grounds that he is dealing with substance abuse issues and has been couch hopping since leaving the family home, Iβm not comfortable with him having any custody to lower the CS amount. Between being served (April) and filing his response (this passed Monday), he has seen the kids for a total of one hour and texted me that he is on the brink of suicide and doesnβt care about anything. Knowing him, I wouldnβt be shocked if this was a manipulation tactic to appeal to my emotions and drop the case, but at the same time, I donβt want to NOT take him seriously. Has anyone ever dealt with something similar, if so, what was the result? I am open to him having more custody in the future if he were to get some kind of help. Can therapy or AA (or both) be ordered by the court in order to gain custody?
I'm in Houston, TX. I was sent the questionnaire to fill out and I'm at a loss as to how to respond. The NCP lies to me constantly so I dont know when or if he is working (he's actually in jail right now). The instructions say to only respond if I have personal knowledge but I only have vague ideas and half truths.
The part I'm having the most trouble answering is "Describe why you believe the NCP had the ability to pay the child support obligation." I have no idea and I don't care. I'm only asking for $200 a month. He lives with his mom who provides food and shelter. How should I answer this?
His last payment was $25 in December 2020 and he is a year behind total.
How common is that either universities or scholarship programs accept the CSS profile waiver request?
My parents divorced back in 2010 and ever since then I haven't been in contact with my mother at all, and this waiver form seems like requires an applicant to submit a supplement documents, which I have NO way to provide them because 1) it's 11 years ago, 2) this drama happened when I was living in Korea, and 3) I don't even have her (my mom) contact info.....????
When the priority filling date was 12/1 ππππ
but you're finally submitting it and now u know why there was no financial aid in your decision for a schoolππππππ

has anyone submitted their noncustodial parent third party letter to their university and has had it approved yet? If it hasnβt been approved yet was it denied? Or are you still awaiting for a response? please helpppppp!!! also is it a good sign if they have approved your noncustodial parent third party letter?
HI as I was going through the CSS profile, there is a section where I have to write down my noncustodial parent's email but I haven't' contacted him for 10 years and doesn't even know his age or email. But still, the CSS profile requires an email address from my noncustodial parent's email. I am currently filling up the CSS profile Waiver and I don't have a single idea of where to submit this form and what to do next with the email of my noncustodial parent's. Also, how do I know if the waiver has been accepted or not? Lastly, if the waiver doesn't get accepted, how can my non-English speaking noncustodial parent fill out this form? I am so upset about this issue.
Applied to University of Michigan. I have all of my financial aid forms complete, both CSS and FAFSA. However, I need to submit a Household B form for the CSS to UMich. The only issue is I don't have contact with this parent. Though I am a naturally born U.S. citizen, my mom isn't and my dad never ended up immigrating to the USA... I do not have any lawyers, formal statements, or anything like that, just the solid proof that my dad has never been to the USA. What do I do? I can fill out the waiver form, but I don't have money to hire lawyers to make a formal statement on behalf of me.. Please someone help - I am very worried about this.
So I ranked WASHU usc uchicago and Columbia and filled out a non custodial parent waiver and was wondering if anyone who ranked these schools have had their waiver approved
I need as much information on what, if any, temporary custody orders can be put into place that would modify our current Permanent Parenting Plan until he returns within a year to eighteen months.
Iβm applying to a school that needs IDOC forms filled out. I already sent this school my waiver application for my Noncustodial Parent (for the CSS profile). The βNon-Custodial Parentβs Non-tax Filerβs Statementβ in the IDOC asks for my noncustodial parents sources and amount of income. I do not know this information or have access to it. It also says that this parentβs email address is required, but I donβt know if this parent even has an email address. How should I go about filling this out?
I'm having trouble and the PDF isn't much help. What should the letter head look like?
Has anyone submitted a noncustodial parent waiver request to Yale? Thanks in advance:β)
I just need some insight into why they need so much information tbh. I can get it it just takes a lot of contacting people.
Has anyoneβs noncustodial parent waiver request been approved? My Non-Custodial Parent's 2019 Tax Return and College Board Noncustodial PROFILE Application still has an X next to it.
If so ya boi would love a little help :)
I have 2 children. My ex left me and them back in January. Has not paid child support since February. We had a pretrial today. My son is 7 has autism, adhd and aggressive displacement disorder. He receives ssi for him being autistic. This is not SSDI it is solely ssi. My ex is trying to say that his child support should be lowered based on my son receiving ssi. I know this is not how it is supposed to go. However I would like to know if anyone has had experience in this situation. Or if anyone can help me find the correct paperwork to show how ssi is used and child support is calculated. If Iβm wrong, I can accept that. If not I need some help explaining it. My lawyer seems kinda confused as well. So any assistance would be greatly appreciated
This is a very America-centric unpopular opinion, but this specific issue doesn't really seem to happen in other countries.
Your admission to a university should be contingent on your grades, test scores, and extracurriculars if they are relevant to your degree or demonstrate that you have responsibilities outside of school like a part-time job. All these other factors, like athletic ability, your parent's alma mater, how much money they've donated, and so on and so forth, have nothing to do with someone's academic prowess and serve to benefit the wealthy rather than poor populations who could benefit more from higher education.
I'm not talking about not admitting the people who happen to be intelligent and talented in athletics, nor the individuals who work hard, get good grades, and their parents happened to go to Princeton or something. I'm talking about people who have low marks and test scores, but are admitted because of their legacy status or athletic capabilities. See: At Harvard, the acceptance rate for legacy students is about 33%, compared with an overall acceptance rate of under 6%. That's not integrity.
While it is not impossible for a smart person to go to a decent university- even public, state-funded schools are becoming extremely competitive- I think it is disingenuous for people to say that the Ivy League or other 'top schools' are based on a meritocracy. A good majority of US universities use these same admissions metrics like legacy and athletics, and some schools are even "need-aware" which means they take into account your family income for admission. This practice is more common in transfer admissions, where community college- or 4 year students- try to transfer into a 4 year program.
Yet at the same time, if you have a parent who does not provide for you, walked out on your family, or is unwilling to spend a penny on your education, their income will still be counted on your financial aid forms, and you may have a disadvantage in admissions because you will be seen as a high-income applicant. Many of the best universities in America have billions of dollars in endowments, but still do not want to expand their class sizes or distribute more financial aid, which turns many qualified kids away from college. Meanwhile, we need to fill our rowing team, so here's 4 years of free tuition to play a sport that doesn't even profit our university.
I speak from experience when I say that American college admissions are
... keep reading on reddit β‘Filed my tax return online, but it was rejected. My wife's ex-husband apparently claimed their son on his taxes as his dependent for the child tax credit. For all intents and purposes the ex has no contact with his son at all and has no legal custody or any legal agreements to claim the son on his taxes. Wife has been separated from him for 4 years now and we have had no issues with claiming the credit in previous years. I was told to call the IRS and then mail my return but I'm unable to get through to a live person. Do i print & mail my return and then follow up with a phone call after they receive it? And if i do mail it, should i attach a letter explaining the issue? Or is it better to set up an appointment with a local office?
The NCP of my child lives pretty much off the grid. I hired a PI last year, and they stated he lived in AK, yet whenever I filed for child support services, the child support services state that he does not live in AK.
I am curious what would be the best kind of background check to do to provide them with information? All they (PI) could really give me is his address, which was a PO box and the address his wife had listed.. which doesn't really seem to be an address.
I've been playing cat and mouse with this man for nearly a decade, and really any advice would help.
Located in California.
I have full legal and physical custody. He has visitation every 1st, 3rd and 5th weekend.
Will he be responsible for paying for any part of the supplies necessary for home schooling our son?
