A list of puns related to "Noether"
This video includes an interview with first author Ferran Alet!
Encoding inductive biases has been a long established methods to provide deep networks with the ability to learn from less data. Especially useful are encodings of symmetry properties of the data, such as the convolution's translation invariance. But such symmetries are often hard to program explicitly, and can only be encoded exactly when done in a direct fashion. Noether Networks use Noether's theorem connecting symmetries to conserved quantities and are able to dynamically and approximately enforce symmetry properties upon deep neural networks.

I have lately been interested in the notion of quantum information, and how it seemingly has become an important cornerstone of modern physics, with the Black Hole paradox, the Bell inequalities etc.
Eventually I found out about the no-hiding theorem, which sounds like a conservation law to me. So, as mentioned in the title, is there a corresponding symmetry to this conservation law, according to Noether's theorem?
Hello, I'm taking the course of Theoretical Mechanics and I found that i didn't have the demonstration of it. By the notes taken in class I have that when the partial derivative of the Lagrangian in respect of a parameter Alpha_j evaluated in Alpha_j=0 is cero, there is a conserved quantity given by the formula: (for one dimension, where q is the generalised coordinate)
\dfrac{\partial L}{\partial q_dot} * \dfrac{q'}{\alpha}|_alpha = C,
where C is the conserved quantity, q' is the new generaliced coordinate ( {q_i} --> {q'_i (alpha)} and alpha is a parameter that for example in the case of espacial translation, is the vector added to the generalised coordinate. We also did the case of rotational translation.
I do have the demonstration of why C is a constant, but i don't know what would be the parameter alpha in a temporal translation and I don't know how to continue with the demonstration.
Sorry for my bad English and thanks in advance.

Great news for our delegated staking users - we're pleased to have Chainlink integrated with Noether!
Chainlink's price feeds help Cartesi stake pool operators be rewarded more securely and fairly during gas spikes and CTSI price fluctuation. Alongside these benefits, Chainlink's integration hardens Noether's Delegated Staking system against potential attacks such as data manipulation or flash crashes.
Hear from Cartesi COO, Colin Steil, on the integration:
"We are thrilled to be a part of the Chainlink community and to contribute to the adoption of blockchain technology in the real world. We look forward to implementing more Chainlink products seamlessly into Cartesi's products, such as combining Chainlink oracles with Cartesi Rollups in the future."

You can look at the Electroweak lagrangian before symmetry breaking and there isn't anything that looks like mass, then when you consider how the symmetry of the Higgs field is broken you have to do a lot of work to rearrange the Lagrangian but at the end we have mass...
Now, we also end up with Electric Charge as the conserved quantity that comes form a new symmetry that got created from all that mess, so maybe mass is the same but I still don't know what symmetry would mass be the product of

Noether's Theorem may just be one of the most insightful ideas I've ever seen, it's the Dao in Physics so to speak, its beauty is recognizable and I thought you here would like to see. Words don't do it justice, you don't need to understand physics to understand it, but it's worth a look.

"Every Invariance has a Conserved Quantity" - proven mathematically.
In calculating a formula for conserved currents, I've seen
\delta(L) = 0
And in case of translations to eventually calculate stress tensor, \delta(L) = \delta(x).\partial(L), following the idea that L is a scalar field
(Where L is the lagranigan and \delta represents the variation)
be used.
My confusion is on how to decide when to use the former and latter? Because depending on which I use, the conserved currents resulting will be different.
Really appreciate any help.

Does Noether's Theorem only apply to an action that is stationary under infinitesimal variations of the dependent variables, or does it work for any general case action? Ie, does Noether's Theorem also require the Euler-Lagrange equation to be true for that system as well?
If it does require the Euler-Lagrange equation, then I can finally accept that making the action stationary is a reasonable assumption (Hamilton's Principle).
Can I seek help understanding how and if Noetherβs theorem presents a violation of the conservation of matter/ energy and if so where does the energy come from or go to. Does it eventually get balanced or do we need a Big Crunch to do so. Iβm scientifically trained but not in physics and this is well out of my comfort zone. I have a religious person heading down the path of Noetherβs theorem showing matter / energy conservation does not hold as evidence of you know what , and could use your help oh great physicists out there , and if possible can it be in language I may follow?
Thanks in advance
Does anybody know when/if our hero from MRL will return rested and in good health?
Most DApps only require the temporary availability of data, yet data stored on blockchains are persistent and kept forever, making them unnecessarily expensive.
We're removing barriers for the next generation of blockchain developers with Noether. Cartesi's side chain provides a high-performance and cost-effective solution to building DApps via temporary data storage and a local consensus.

Multidisciplinary Academic Grants in Cryptocurrencies (MAGIC) is raising funds to fund Dr. Sarang Noether of the Monero Research Lab to develop and implement Bulletproofs+ in Monero. Bulletproofs+ will reduce typical transaction sizes by around 5% (96 bytes/transaction) with similar verification time. This work should remain compatible with future research, including Triptych and Arcturus.
This project funding proposal includes:
The campaign does NOT include an audit of the code, which would be required before the code is used in Monero.
Dr. Sarang Noether is one of the most knowledgeable individuals on Monero research and development. You can see some of his previous work here: https://www.getmonero.org/resources/research-lab/
This campaign is necessary to support research and development to benefit a public good. If you prefer to make a donation outside of GoFundMe (for example, an "offline" donation with Monero or another cryptocurrency), please donate on our website https://www.magicgrants.org/contribute. Your donation will still count towards the proposal, but it will need to be added manually after a delay.
Your donation is tax-deductible to the amount allowable by law. In 2020, you may be able to take a $300 above-the-line tax deduction even if you do not itemize your deductions. Take advantage of the tax benefits afforded to you and support a cause you care about.
