A list of puns related to "Nissan Trade"
I love my Jeep, but itβs costing me $400 plus a month in payments and $180-$200 in gas. I have a garage where I can charge the leaf. My commute is 5 minutes, and all necessities are within 10-mile range. I visit my Father in Law once a month who lives 94 miles away. I have 10k bonus from work this year, and wondering if I should buy a new Leaf, and trade in the Wheeler. What kind of incentives is Nissan offering right now? I do qualify for the full 7.5k tax credit. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Edit: I know this is a leaf subreddit, but Iβm also looking at the Mini Cooper SE with 110 mile range. It does have liquid cooling as far as Iβve researched. If anyone has any experience regarding this car, please share. Tia
Iβm considering trading in my 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum AWD with 11k miles that I bought in December of 2020. I wanted to see if it would make sense financially, with the current state of the markets, and the trade in value Iβm seeing. I would likely be going for a new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum 4WD because I want more power, unless I go full quarter-life-crisis and get something that Iβll regret later (AMG, M-, RS, Plaid, etc).
The Rogue resulted in a $40,000 loan, after putting $7,500 down, and getting the extra warranties and such. With $700/mo payments, loan now sits around $33,700, which could go down to $31,500 after cancelling the extra warranty.
$7,500 + $6,300 = $13,800 total put into the vehicle.
Carvana is currently offering $34,000, which is up from $31,500 in October and $28,200 in June. Obviously we donβt know if/when the upward trend will stop, but itβs interesting.
CarMax last offered $37,000 in October, and a local Nissan dealership (not the one I purchased it at) offered me $36,500.
The potential logic is that I could trade it in and put that extra $5000 down on a new loan or lease, and do $800/mo on a loan or $500/mo on a lease for a Pathfinder. (Or up to ~$2k/mo on a quarter-life-crisis vehicle)
Curious to see your opinions on this. TIA
What's my sales pitch to dealers? Car is in excellent condition minus the battery being borked. Paint is as pretty as day 1, it has all the premium features, still drives well but I've gotten push back from the dealers I've had serious talks with.
No sugar coated.
I think this car is awful for new drivers. -This vehicle is sooo sensitive to wind. If you drive in a interstate 60-80mph .. this thing will pull you to the side as soon there is open wind .. horrible and dangerous. (No there is no problem with the balance / alignment/ etc) this is how this vehicle reacts to the wind + speed.
Overall this car is really good. But putting your safety at risk.. I donβt think is a good choice.
Unless you live in the city and you are driving 10-50 mph. Yes π perfect vehicle π for a metropolitan city.
I will trade my kicks as soon as possible.
I live in saxony in germany and want to have the blue nissan gtr liberty walk. If anyone could make that possible pls write me a message :)
The truck is in great shape, driven mostly in SC up until a month ago(now in ny). Or does anyone know how it will do in the winter?
I bought a 2013 Nissan Sentra from a dealership almost 2 years ago. At the time it had the cleanest title i could find for a car in my price range and mileage range and I had friends/family who liked their Nissans. (It also had a luxury trim/sound/navigation package, which wasn't a selling point but definitely a plus.) Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the Nissan CVT issues until after I purchased the car. (I did research, but not well enough, apparently.) The CVT failed about 2 months into owning the car and was luckily still under the certified used car warranty offered by the dealership, but needless to say, that experience made me second guess the car's reliability in the long term. The car has about 83,000 miles on it and is almost paid off.
I recently got an email from my dealership for one of their "VIP" (marketing i know) trade-in deals that claims that they'll buy back my car and give me an upgrade and that my monthly payments won't change. I know from the pinned thread on here that those deals are mostly marketing and that people only recommend it if you're already considering a new car, but given the issues with the Nissan's reliability, I'm wondering if it might be worth considering, especially if i could upgrade to a more reliable car (and ideally a more eco-friendly one ) So my questions are this:
The car is mostly paid off, but I'm not sure if I would get a ton for it. If I'm paying $136 a month on payments would I even be able to get a deal on a better car without those payments going up significantly or being sucked into a long-ass loan period? I know Toyotas, Hondas, etc. Are way more reliable, but i don't necessarily want a newer car if its mileage is higher than my current one.
Is the Nissan likely to last a while longer now that it has a new CVT, or am I risking more expensive issues down the road (and outside of my warranty period) that would make it worth trading in? The car is in otherwise good condition.
In terms of rates, it typically better to go with the same dealership for these sorts of trade-in deals, or is it something i would want to shop around for.
Hello! I would just like some advice if this is feasible, I own a 2015 red Nissan micra, it still works fine. I would need to get a dent in the hood fixed and a scratch in the windshield fixed and cleaned but then it would be basically in good condition.
I'd like to sell my car and buy a used VW bug (ideally green haha) and I just want to know if thats a good idea, or feasible or whatever else advice I could get. I realize the bug I would buy would be a lot older than my micra so I have no idea if that even makes sense to do. Thanks! I'm in Canada btw :)
Edit: it has been brought to my attention that I mean a new beetle
Hello redditors,
I am in kind of a pickle, I currently drive a 2014 Nissan Altima with 63,000 miles on the clock, but I feel that the miles are starting to get up there. Now before anyone asks, yes, I am aware of the CVT issues with this generation, which is why I ritually do the transmission fluid change, ever since I have owned it. I've had the car since 2017, it originally had 25,000 miles on it, I am the second owner, it was a senior citizens car before I came into the picture.
I saw an ad for a 2010 Ford Edge SE with 51,000 miles. I have always loved this generation Edge, and I have never owned an SUV before. Here in Minnesota, I would prefer to have an SUV on the snowy roads. I showed the ad to a friend and he told me the miles are kind of high for a 2010 Ford, he was saying that issues on cars tend to happen at about 70,000-80,000 miles. He also said it would be a downgrade since it is 4 years older.
Do you think it is worth the trade? Could my Nissan be troublesome later on? I have heard nightmares about how the CVT transmission has issues later on in its life, but I have done all that is needed to do to not have the issue, so in my opinion, I think it is fine. Honestly, I have had no issues with the car since I have owned it, zero, only the general maintenance and it has never once failed me.
Generally, I drive about 10-15,000 miles a year, lets say hypothetically, if I got the Ford Edge, in about four to five years, it would have 91,000 miles. Do you think that the Nissan would be the better bet to own in four to five years when that hits about 103,000 miles?
I guess I have a lot of questions, just thought I'd ask for a second opinion here, some mechanic advise from people who are familiar with both vehicles.
Reddit I need your help and advice. I currently have a 2003 Xterra and a 2020 Camry. The transmission in the Xterra is shot and wonβt go in reverse. I need approx. $4000 in work to get it back to full health. However the car runs great and I drive it daily. I also have a new Camry that Iβve owned for 8 months now. My problem is that Iβm moving across the country and canβt really afford to put that much money into my Xterra at the moment. Iβve considered trading in both the Xterra and the Camry for a 2020 Frontier that my local dealer has on sale for $27K. Keep in mind this would consolidate two 2 vehicles into one which helps the move, and I work in construction so I need a truck eventually. Is this a bad trade?
I did read the FAQ but it didn't provide any information regarding how to sell or trade in a car if I haven't paid it off yet.
I bought this car in 2017 new with 0% interest as my first car. I was in a rush to buy a car at the time so I didn't do a ton of research on it. I have a 6 year finance agreement so I am a little over halfway paying it off. With the CVT issues nissan has, I want to trade it in before I hit close to 100k (I'm around 50k now). If I am looking to trade it in over the summer, do I need to pay off my loan first? I have enough in my savings to do so if I need to, or will that be taken into account when I get another car? This will be the first time I'm dealing with a trade in so I'm not sure how that works if you are still paying off a loan.
Also a side note, I have a couple dings on the hood from road debris and a few scratches here and there on the body. Do people typically get that cleaned up before trading it in or is it not worth it? Thanks for your help!
