A list of puns related to "Nicki Minaj Best"
i have decided purely based on her feature on "Monster" on MBDTF
In 2012, Bon Iver won a Grammy for Best New Artist over a slate that included Nicki Minaj. Just yesterday, Nicki Minaj went on Twitter and complained that it was stolen from her because her music was charting better, and instead they gave it to "white man Bon Iver".
Now a flood of her fans are swarming Bon Iver's social media, being negative in general.
This award was given out 8+ years ago. Nicki Minaj has won many other awards, and deserved them. Other women of color have won Grammys, and deserved them.
Is there an implicit racial and sexist bias in many entertainment industries, including music? Yes. But implying that Bon Iver's whiteness is the reason he won that Grammy is absurd and disrespectful. Their music is loved by a large audience.
Different groups of people choose to recognize different artists and albums for different reasons. Nobody wins them all, and nobody should. It's the same in film.
For her to stir this up years later, and create a wave of negativity is irresponsible and immature.
Iβve legitimately seen 5 nicki Minaj superimposed on a U.S flag flags downtown. Seen a few of them on the road too.
Is it just a fan thing or is there some other meaning? A few of the cars had Alex jones stickers.
Going to preface this: I listen to a lot of pop/dance-y mix spotify playlists. I think that's probably where it first popped up maybe a couple of times, and Spotify just latched on. I don't listen to hip-hop or rap, which is what google has as the top two genres for the song.
For the past year Anaconda by Nicki Minaj has haunted me. It's not a song I ever really liked, and definitely not a song I ever went out of my way to play.
It first started out in my daily mix playlists, thrown in with a few other pop artists, some Lady Gaga, Pink etc. I would just skip it in the first few secs (I assume this doesn't count as a play?) and assume Spotify would eventually take it out of my lists. I even did the "Hide this song" thing.
But then it was appearing in all of my personalised playlists. My most listened genre this year according to my wrapped was "Metropopolis" aka indie-pop. Majority of what I listen to is what my friends call "Woah woah music" - think The Lumineers, Delta Rae, Mumford & Sons type stuff ^(^^don't ^^judge ^^me). I started going from "Ho Hey" to "Anaconda" and back to hipster barn stomp again. It was showing up in my Linkin Park Mix, Chill Mix, Happy Pop Mix, even my Carly Rae Jepson Mix.
At this point (sometime around May) I specifically went out of my way and blocked Nicki Minaj entirely and that got rid of it, problem solved right?
Well kind of. It still shows up in my blend playlists with friends - I can't see it but they can, so I still hear it if I'm hanging out with people and we chuck one of our mixed lists on. Everyone laughs because they know the song haunts me and then we skip it (I really don't like it at this point lol). And then Spotify wrapped 2021 shows up.
Apparently it's my own personal theme song, and I've played it 74 times.
Which I definitely haven't I've specifically gone out of my way to NOT listen to it, It doesn't even show up in my top 2021 playlist because I've blocked the artist! My top artist has me in the 0.5% range for CRJ, but non of her songs are even in my top 5. My friends swear they haven't been playing it on my account (Which is only logged in on my phone and pc, I've done the log out of everything thing via account management). I just can't escape it.
Has anyone else had this issue? How can I make Nicki go away? What did I do to Spotify to deserve this? Is there some way to completely forever delete a song from ever showing up on my accoun

Okay I don't want to be this person but we need to cancel Nicki Minaj. Push her antivaccine stance to the side. Push all the other controversies she's had to the side. There is something people are not discussing. And it's so problematic
Okay, her song Megatron is incredibly offensive and problematic. She chooses Megatron when there are hundreds of more vile transformers. Completely dismissing that Megatron's goal is to actually defeat the corrupt autobots who practically enslaved the decepticon race. The Cybertron government was ran by autobots who continuously oppressed the decepticons. Making them work in harvesting energon, while giving them very little. This is until the Cybertron Civil Wars when the decepticons rise up against the autobots. The decepticons are labeled a terrorist group who just want to restore Cybertron to an egalitarian society.
Therefore, by Nicki's villainous song donning the name Megatron, she is systematically victimizing the Decepticon race while promoting Autobot superiority. By using Megatron as a villain comparative for Chun Li, Nicki's villainous ego; she is perpetrating that the Decepticons are just trying to destroy Cybertron. Which really minimizes the hardships the decepticons went through. When Unicron came to destroy Earth, do you know who set aside their differences? Megatron. When starscream got too out of hand who put him in his place? Megatron. Megatron and the Decepticons are merely a terrorist group hoping to restore their home and ensure autobot corruption never happens again.
