A list of puns related to "Nick Zinner"
Nick Zinner did a one-off gig playing Sabbath covers in Brooklyn over the weekend. I was able to get a couple so-so pictures. Can you help me identify the pedals?

If you haven't heard of this book already, it's basically Our Band Could Be Your Life or Please Kill Me but for the New York Scene of the 2000s; an oral history of all that really happened with that indie-rock/garage-rock/new-wave/dance-punk/whatever-you-call-it revival.
> Drawing on 200 original interviews with James Murphy, Julian Casablancas, Karen O, Ezra Koenig, and many others musicians, artists, journalists, bloggers, photographers, managers, music executives, groupies, models, movie stars, and DJs who lived through this explosive time, journalist Lizzy Goodman offers a fascinating portrait of a time and a place that gave birth to a new era in modern rock-and-roll.
There's an excellent excerpt on Vulture that looks at how The Strokes started to come undone after their 2nd album Room On Fire (the title of the book comes from a Strokes song on that album).
Anyway, Nick Zinner and James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem will be there, and tickets are available here. There's another event in LA on Thursday, but I don't know if Nick will be at that one.
Word on the street is there'll be a similar event in London at some point. I'll keep my ear to the ground and try to keep you posted.
50 RMB (sorry, still not used to living in China, THAT'S PR. CHEAP)

I mean they're probably not us but I feel like that's a good general goal in life.
Otherwise my wechat is Hansen_Ding and I'll be the asian guy either wearing suspenders or a black cardigan, look around

Long time lurker, new to posting and I also posted a thread about this on TGP, but I feel like the community here is a little different, so here goesβ¦.
Hi,
Iβve become preoccupied with the idea of one guitarist using effects to build a world in which the listener hears multiple guitars and with the use of effects and loops, thatβs obviously possible. But, I wanted to get peopleβs thoughts to see where my blindspots are for opportunities Iβm missing. Hereβs what I already know and have in mind.
Loopers, obviously, loops either being built live or built prior and the triggered like a sample over live loops ala Warren Ellis in Grinderman or maybe some of what Nick Zinner does with YYYs at live shows.
Using a sub octave, ala the POG or maybe something like the sub octave in EQDs Astral Destiny for that roaring depth and low end.
Using delay as a slapback or depending on the setting for a kind of doubling effect
Running two amps, with an A/B simultaneously voiced differently with effects or EQ depending on whatβs called for.
Iβve recently become familiar with OBNEβs Signal Blender and that opens up lots of really fascinating possibilities with parallel channels made up of different effects going simultaneously.
What am I missing? What gear or tricks with said gear or methods are out there that are escaping me?
In terms of sounds and what Iβm going for, Iβm thinking something akin to the verses in Sonic Youthβs Wish Fulfillment, and generally speaking I like to veer towards melodic chaos, not just some ambient or post rock or shoegaze, I want to do it all AND i want my mayhem to be controlled musical madness but song based, and serving the melodies with exciting arrangements.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
The nurse asked the rabbit, βwhat is your blood type?β
βI am probably a type Oβ said the rabbit.
The doctor says it terminal.
Mentos
(I will see myself out)
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
Do your worst!
How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
Mathematical puns makes me number
We told her she can lean on us for support. Although, we are going to have to change her driver's license, her height is going down by a foot. I don't want to go too far out on a limb here but it better not be a hack job.
