A list of puns related to "Natsume"
I normally stick to manga over anime, but I've also noticed shoujo manga rarely get anime adaptations, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it had not one, but a whopping 6 seasons. Does the anime hold up to the original, or should I just stick with the manga like usual?
Basically it seems like the story goes "Marvelous good, Natsume bad" but I'm wondering is this always true? Are any of the Natsume games (particularly on Switch) worth a look?
Also a video on Youtube said Natsume made Harvest Moon-themed puzzle games. How does THAT work?
1st announcement: Natsume's second costume, the one she currently uses most of the time, has officially replaced her initial costume as her default, and will be used to represent her in official material. The official website has already updated to reflect these changes.
2nd announcement: Releasing a new set of LINE stickers, based off of Natsume Picture Diary.
3rd announcement: Natsume makes her debut as a writer for a new light novel, available 2/25/2022!
Congratulations Nachume!
So I'm rewatching the BSD anime like I tend do every other month or so, and I'm starting to actually realize the presence of Natsume Soseki and where he pops up all over the anime in his ability form. While I was watching the four episodes that cover the Dark Era I noticed that 1) Natsume is the cat that is in the Bar Lupin that Dazai, Ango, and Odasaku meet in, and 2) that Dazai addresses the cat as "sensei", similarly to how both Fukuzawa and Mori address Natsume in the Cannibalism arc. From those connections I think it's very likely that Dazai is aware that the cat in the bar is Natsume during that period of time.
(I think it's pretty heavily implied that Dazai knows Natsume's ability form by the time the Cannibalism arc comes around, because he gets the location of the hideout of the Rats in the House of the Dead from Natsume in his ability form. And I think if he didn't know about Natsume and his ability before he left the Port Mafia he probably met him once he met Taneda to discuss working with the Agency since Natsume was there in his ability form.)
Assuming that Dazai does know that Natsume is the cat in the bar during the Dark Era, there are like two possible ways he could've found out. Either he met Natsume through Mori if there were discussions about the Tripartite Framework that Dazai was involved in for some reason (which I think is a bit of a stretch and assumes that there are actually meetings about the Tripartite Framework). Or a much funnier option; Dazai assumed that the cat in the bar was just a normal cat, went to pet it, and unknowingly disabled Natsume's ability and turned him back to a human.
I honestly think that it would be really funny if this is how Dazai first met Natsume. I also don't know if this has been mentioned at all in more recent editions of the manga or the light novels, since I'm not entirely caught up yet so let me know if this is has been proven or not! :D
thatโs it
well i mean, still staggered here, the story rather simple and strightforward but i dont know why its so relatable for me rn.
and yeah just wanted to discuss this book, and see from another perspective. what do you think about Sensei?, how is the mc deals with all of that afterward?
and for the next read ill read first person singular- by murakami, any thought for that too is welcomed.
Happened to notice the bundles being pulled upon us reaching the next week's sale. Is there any plan of bringing them back at the end of the sale? I couldn't nab the entire series this week, was bummed to see they went away :(
A Mai card is literally the only card I'd care about, so I could put it on a pedestal alongside my Filia, premium Noel, Heavy, and Demoman cards. But she has none? Alll the other new characters in CF have a card, and for some dumb reason Platinum and Kokonoe too. Why does best girl not have a card of her own?
So, Shingo Natsume - director of Sonny Boy had a piece where he gave some commentary on each episode up to episode 11 before the final episode was released. I used DeepL to translate them and thought they were kinda insightful. I compiled them into this text post - hope you enjoy it.

Episode 1
I put off explaining the situation until later, and focused on introducing the characters first. What kind of personalities the children have, and what kind of relationships they have - especially in the first episode, where Nagara and Nozomi meet. At first, I couldn't really explain it in a few words myself, but when the production of the first episode had progressed to a certain extent, I asked Mineta-san (Kazunobu Mineta, from Ginkgo Boyz) to sing the theme song. I ordered the theme song from Mineta-san (Kazunobu Mineta, Ginkgo Boyz) and it came out with the title "Shonen Shoujo". When I saw the title, I thought, "You've explained it beautifully! I thought. It's really about a boy and a girl, and the encounter between Nagara and Nozomi is a symbolic coming-of-age story.
This time, there is no opening. Mineta-san also took this into account when he wrote the music. We didn't use theatrical accompaniment because normally we would use music to show the plot of each scene and the characters' personalities, but this time we didn't want to make a big deal out of it. But this time I didn't want to exaggerate. If you only show the phenomena and they build up, the parts you don't understand start to grow and look eerie. That stress is something that happens in the real world too, and I wanted to recreate it as much as possible in the film. I've always been a fan of Hisashi Eguchi, who designed the characters of Nagara, Nozomi and Mizuho. I was curious and interested to see how Mr. Eguchi would portray the junior high school students of Reiwa, but what came out had a solid "now" feel to it, and I was really into the story.
Episode 2
In the second episode, Hateno Island appears. I tried to show that Hateno Island has its own rules, and that these rules are as strong as the supernatural powers in the story. As Mizuho says, "What's the difference from the original world?" As Mizuho says, "What's the difference from the original world?" Surprisingly, the environment is connected to the real world, so you can live in the same way as in the original world. On the other hand, each
