A list of puns related to "Nancy Meyers"
"[Nancy] taught me how to look at everything from a design perspective and be very discerning about precision. Little details such as how a jacket hung on me or how an upholstered chair worked better than a wooden chair or how you can make a perfect-looking lasagna β¦ who knew?!
We were shooting my close-up in the kitchen in Home Again, during a scene with me and Candice Bergen, and Nancy shouted, βCUT! Just give me a minute; something is off.β She spoke with director Hallie [Meyers-Shyer] for a few minutes in quiet tones, and then she walked directly behind me to a vase of the bright blue hydrangeas and gently rearranged them. Then she returned to the video monitors and said, βOkay, now we can go again.β The flowers were perfect for the next take. And I have to say, it made a huge difference."

Believe me, I know this is a silly idea, but it popped into my head while listening to 'the Intern' episode: Fantastic Four a Rom-com/drama about two fifty-something scientists falling in love. Pre-cosmic rays, with Johnny and Ben as the supporting characters.
In general, I desperately want the next Fan4stic movie to be anything but a traditional action-flick.
I was listening to the podcast "Dumb People Town," and they covered the news article linked above, and one of the hosts made the joke that this story would be Nancy Meyer's take on the Fast and the Furious.
Having just gone through George Miller, seems like it has more of a Fury Road vibe. It would be very easy to picture Nicholas Hoult's Nux in the dash cam footage...
Mine is Sleepless in Seattle.
I see a lot of similarities between these complex female anti heroes, with some notable differences.
They are both single mothers more most of their series.
They both start their series with noble intentions, but incrementally compromising their values to achieve their goals, increasingly at the cost of their families.
At a certain point (approximately halfway through the show) their motivations become less about their values, and far more about personal ambition or thrill seeking.
They show a liberal use of their sexuality for both their own personal enjoyment as well as their ambitions.
All of their romances are ill fated.
They both start out very likeable and sympathetic, and become increasingly less so. You begin to root against them, but then when they get what they deserve, you begin to want them to succeed again.
There are differences though.
Most notably, Nancy Botwin redeems herself at the end whereas Selena Meyer commits her ultimate betrayal in order to secure the presidency.
Anyone else have any thoughts or feelings about this?
Here are the films in chronological order. I'm not counting Home Again in rankings as it's a bonus and not directed by Nancy.
