A list of puns related to "Musical Theatre Food"
I thought that's about time
I'm looking to paint and rhinestone the back of a black denim jacket with some sort of musical reference and wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions or ideas.
Currently leaning towards "Everyone deserves the chance to fly" with an Elphaba defying gravity silhouette, but it feels a bit too... inspirational quote on a Hallmark card (?) when it's isolated like that.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
LTR oriented. I'm a single dad, love to travel, scuba, cook & eat good food, hike, climb & camp in the mountains, and I am missing that companion to share my life with and go on more Adventures together.
I love languages (polyglot), animals, music, singing, museums, theater, and reading. I have an MBA/MIM, love conversations on all subjects, and so sapiosexuals are preferred. I'd much rather spend the evening cuddling watching a movie than go clubbing. I seek for a compassionate man above all-- someone who cares about others, empathy that usually comes from having suffered some of your own pains and trials. Someone who believes in love, and willing to do the work to make a successful relationship.
Comments are welcome, but if you're seriously interested, please PM me. Thanks!!
note: I'm not interested in fetishized daddy/son role playing, spanking, scat, urine, hardcore BDSM, fisting, etc.. I don't mind exploring sexual fun and fantasies, and I prefer to be a dominant top.

I love watching musical theatre (things like The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Les MisΓ©rables..) but I couldn't for the love of me find any theatre in Amsterdam that does this kind of shows.
So, does anyone know of a place where I could watch some live performances of musicals? Of course, once the covid situation gets a bit better and things start opening again.
So I have an audition coming up for a musical theatre school and they ask for a lyrical (Legit) musical theatre song and a contemporary. My choices right now are βOn the street where you liveβ from my fair lady for the legit and βIf I canβt love herβ for the contemporary. But I feel like my vocal style is very similar on these two songs, and I was wondering if it would be better to swap one out for a more modern musical song (more of a pop/rock sound). I far prefer and I think I sound better on βif I canβt love herβ though so Iβd like to keep that one. I was just wondering if it would be classed as a legit musical theatre song. I sing it in a very similar style as I do the other song though, so I donβt think it would be an issue, but I donβt want the admissions board to knock off points for me because itβs not a song considered usually legit.
I saw this article that I did try to post the link to, but it wouldn't allow me to, but the gist of it, (even if it's from a rag of a paper, The Sun) is that this particular theatre has decided to ban under 4's from attending Frozon, on the basis that they aren't able to sit in their own seats.
There's also the fact that under 4's have a very short attention span, and that, especially babies, they cry, and it can be disturbing to those people who paid huge money to see this show that they may not afford normally.
Honestly, theatres should follow suit.
So I have quite an active imagination, so of course Iβm pursuing a degree in musical theatre. But unfortunately thereβs only maybe 2 lesbian musicals I can think of off the top of my head, Fun home and The Prom and letβs be real the Netflix special made it all about James cordon and Meryl Streep. But musical theatre is so accepting of gay men and gay women of course, but weβre often side characters, weβre never leads, thereβs never any stories on us.
So I started picking apart songs from different musicals and writing storylineβs to go along with them, and ended up creating multiple playlists of βlesbian musicalsβ. Theyβre pop songs, indie songs, musical songs, sometimes country, that all fit together and make a coherent story along with what Iβve written.
You know how people post those βplaylist for that girlβ and whatever kind of videos on YouTube? Would you guys, some true authentic queers, be interested in wlw musical playlists? I would write down the storyline in the video to help follow along and the characters, all that, and you know id be able to make lots of these. I wouldnβt make it all about the story tho Iβd leave a lot of it up to the person listening to it. I donβt care about it popping off or anything I just really love musical theatre and want to share some of the stories Iβve created. Plus for people who love that genre of music youβd finally have stuff to listen to and be dramaticβ¨
So what do you guys think? π§
I moved to DC from the Midwest a few months ago and Iβm hoping to get involved in community/civic theatre, specifically musicals. Does anyone know of an amateur but professional theatre that puts on musical theatre and holds regular auditions? I know things may be on pause with COVID but would still love to know! Thanks!
I'm pretty tired so not gonna go big brain on this one but eh gonna do my best
Iβm making a playlist. This could be songs to inspire creativity, songs about the pain of being an artist, songs about writers block, songs about the joys of making something, whatever works. So far I have Move On from Sunday in the Park with George, Johnny Canβt Decide from Tick Tick Boom, and What Baking Can Do from Waitress
So, I have recently learned to mix/mix belt and I can go up to C#5 but can only sustain up to B4. So when musical theatre is sang I was wondering if they do mix in songs that have notes from G4-B4. Iβve heard that some donβt mix and itβs all in chest but I just watched a video of a vocal coach reacting to a popular musical theatre song that goes up to G#4 and she said he had a nice mix. However, Iβve also heard that itβs like looked down in the theatre world.
I only started listening to the podcast around October of 2021 (love it!) , which is several months after the most recent episode they posted (except one ad for a different podcast they posted in December). I was wondering if anyone on here listened and was a member of their discord community and possibly knew more about this hiatus? I'm hoping its just a matter of things getting busy due to the school year starting.
I cannot for the life of me remember the song. It may have been in a musical about 9/11 but thatβs not for sure. It was sung by a woman, and in it she was singing about packing up and moving away. If my memory is right sheβs either working in an office or moves away and then starts working in an office. I think she moves to New York. She has a lower singing voice. Sorry for the shitty description.

Hi everyone! So like Ariana, I'm a huge musical theater/Broadway nerd and I know that she took some inspiration from showtunes in some of her songs and albums. I was always a casual fan until this year when I started getting more into her music, so I still haven't like listened to her entire discography yet or anything. Any suggestions for any albums and songs by her that have that showtune/Boradway/musical theatre feel & vibe? (I know Yours Truly has quite a few - love that album!)

We are doing a project about musical theatre and have to create a story, we have a story (Orphans on the street want to find a home) but our conflict is confusing, we want something to prevent them from leaving but so far all we have is a gang. May you give us some ideas. The play so 10 minutes long (at max) and we only have 5 people and at least 3 or 4 are the orphans
what are your favorite folk-influenced MT scores? because I love Bridges of Madison County and The Spitfire Grill but I need some recommendations of other ones, βcause I love them
