A list of puns related to "Moose Travel"
Looking for a book that has escaped me since elementary school. I would have read this around 93-94, but possibly 95. It was a library checkout and I think around 100 pages. I donβt remember how old it was then, but I donβt believe that it was new at the time.
The book was a sci-fi/fantasy mystery, but only in the sense that it involves times travel. I remember that it takes place in a small town, present day, and I believe that the time tracking element is more fantastical than technological, but I could be wrong about that point.
I honestly best remember details that may not be helpful for identification. This was a book report that I did a poster for. I had selected it on my own and not from a reading list. The poster I drew was of a moose, one half going through a box car with the other half exiting, representing him going in between time periods. I also drew a letter attached to a leg, because I remember that a message in a letter that was delivered by the moose as a key plot point. I think the box car itself was some kind of gateway between time periods, but I canβt remember why. Itβs possible it wasnβt a box car, but some kind of small shed instead.
I am also 99% sure that a key plot twist was the moose ended up being the protagonist in a moose suit delivering the message to his past self for some reason.
Not being able to find this book after the advent of the internet has bugged me for a long time, partly because I remember the pages being out of order. At the time, I thought that this was because the book was pretty absurdist already and that the pages out of order was some kind of joke on the part of the author to further undercut the linearity of a time travel story. As an adult, Iβm confident now that this was just a binding error during printing. I think I ended up reading it twice...once front to back with the pages out of order and once skipping around with the correct order. I think I made a C or something on my report which pissed me off because I donβt think my teacher understood the binding issue and I tried to communicate how much the bookβs plot jumped around. I probably sounded crazy.
Any help is appreciated!
Hi,
I have previously mostly ridden xc in west bragg creek, but am looking to get a new bike and ride some of the moose mountain trails (race of spades, 727 for example). I don't plan to do any wooden features.
Given my aim for moose mountain, how much travel should I look for on a new bike: 140 front/130 rear or more like 160/150? I'd also like to use the same bike to ride the west bragg trails and want it to climb well.
Thanks.
I would like to have a good look at Mo, would like to know how he looked in person and if he's as narcissistic as described in hadiths.
Also I would unleash a bunch of black dogs on him because of his fear/insecurity of dogs which is evident in the hadiths. Maybe even try to save Aisha from her child marriage.
What would you guys do?
So I'm trying to track down moose in my Pilgrim run and I'm using the companion app to let me know where to look. I'm about 30 days in but have only checked 4 locations and I'm ready to move on again, but I saw in the wiki that moose can sometimes despawn for random periods. Is it worth sticking around a shelter that's close to a possible spawn point, and if so for how long? Or should I just move on and keep checking new locations?
I read it at least ten years ago I think, give or take a few. Not sure on published date, however. 3 or 4 children meet an old man with an unusual umbrella, who teaches them that they need to look up at the sky more often. He then recruits them to travel to a strange land, using their imagination to get there. (Maybe they had to put idea-caps on to get there? Can't remember.) They travel on a boat at some point, they're chased by a puma-like creature that can't go uphill because it has short front legs and long back legs, they're chased by malicious dirtbikes, all to find the ruler of this land, who I believe was similar to an upright, walking, talking moose, with something strange going on with his horns (maybe socks grew on them?). Some details may be mis-remembered, I'll think on it more and see if I can recall more details.
