A list of puns related to "Meal Delivery Service"
Hi all,
I love this sub and I'm so happy I found it a few months ago! I wanted to share about my experiences with meal delivery for a household where both partners have adhd.
BACKSTORY: My partner and I both have adhd, no children but 3 dogs (which honestly sometimes feels like having a toddler who never grows up haha). We are terrible at making dinner for ourselves, and we'd often just graze, eat snacks, finally heat up something frozen at 10 PM, or order takeout. We've had a dinner of pogos and fries more often than I'd care to admit.
Meal delivery services always seemed like a luxury that we couldn't afford. We both make less than 60K Canadian so we're not rich people. In 2021 my partner was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, and we knew we'd have to change the way we were eacting. Our diet had to switch to meat and potatoes basically. High Fibre, no spices, all our vegetables had to be cooked. Well, neither of us are cooks and honestly I thought we would just try meal delivery for a month while we figured something else out.
We've been using meal delivery now for 3 months, and I cant ever imagine going back. We've not only been eating more nutritiously, but we've been wasting less food, decreased both our food budget and our takeout budget (no impulse purchases!), it keeps my interest because I learn to cook but without all the prep. No more meal planning, making grocery lists, running to the store trying to find something to make for dinner, no more recipes. It's honestly changed our lives so much that now I view it as an accommodation instead of a luxury.
BENEFITS:
CONS:
Have any of you used meal delivery? I'm curious to know what your experiences were!
Speaking from recent experience. My friend just had her 1st baby, and wasn't ready for visitors anytime soon.
I sent her a meal subscription service for the month because I could tell she was already so busy. She told me it has been the absolute best gift because they haven't had time to go pick up groceries and make dinner.
I'm definitely doing this moving forward. This applies to friends or family that are grieving as well.
Anyone have suggestions/experiences with any prepared meal services in the local area?
I'm referring to already cooked meals that you can just pop into the microwave. Thanks guys
I will be very busy for a two month period, and would like to temporarily simplify my life with a meal delivery service. I have no dietary restrictions, and would not be looking for any type of specialized meal plan. Simply put, I would not be looking for any specific type of diet.
Do any of you have recommendations for meal delivery services? I would prefer one that delivers cooked meals that just need to be heated. I figure this may be better than relying on restaurant delivery, fast food, and microwaved food during the busy period.
Edit:
I did not realize there were so many meal delivery options available today. It is a bit overwhelming, but I will check them out. I might go with a week with each service just to see how they compare. While I won't be doing this long-term, I do have periods where my work gets crazy, so having some meal delivery options will be great.
Hi Everyone, this is a bit of a self - promotion post but I'd appreciate your opinion.
I come from a family that runs a carrier business - and a big issue I've seen from our drivers and drivers in general is having healthy food options to eat on the road that are easily cookable and healthy.
in order to solve that problem, I was thinking of creating a meal delivery service that will deliver truckers relatively healthy and easily cookable so you don't have to rely on fast food and *gasps* truck - stop food.
I don't have the details figured out yet, but is this something y'all would find valuable?
That deliver prepared food for weight loss?
Ps. No hello fresh
I just found out that I have Celiac Disease about a month ago. We had been getting Blue Apron for many years and really liked it but they donβt do gluten free. Does anyone use a service like it that they can recommend?
I stumbled across a local meal service for a good price, but the food wasn't quite my taste (vegan- I knew it was even though I'm not, but everything tasted so mealy and unseasoned). I did absolutely love the chance to try something new, pick what I want, and have it delivered fresh to my door, though.
Are there any other local options out there? I don't mind heating the food, but I'd rather not do a full prep as my family is picky af and this is just for me.
How much are you charged to use these services? Do you make many profit from it?
Edit: Thank you to everyone who has commented and shared their tips and recommendations. I am starting with an initial order from Muscle Chef and will take it from there, with lots of other great resources shared with me here that I can try. After feeling very low recently I am a little better over the last few days, a part of the problem is that a lot of responsibilities/issues collided and I got overworked and run down constantly running from one thing to the next while not caring for myself and feeling wretched. I'm taking one meal, one sleep, one walk at a time with meditation in between to ride out the lows and maintain a calm and positive focus. I'm seeing my doctor on Wednesday which will help too. Once again my thanks to you for your input.
Without going into detail, I struggle with basic self care at times and amid other responsibilities, which have become more intense recently, I put things like cooking last. Food becomes an afterthought. I have gone through phases of getting fresh veg delivery and doing up my own soups, stews etc, I do know how to do it, but it never sticks and I often end up throwing out the stuff I make. I feel like my health is at a bit of a crisis point at the moment and I need help to get through and into a better place. I'm looking at meal delivery services to assist and would love to learn from your experience when choosing a provider. I need nutrient dense meals that are designed to meet all vegan needs including iron. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and hope you have a great day.
My fiancΓ© and I are considering subscribing to a meal delivery service to try out some new recipes. We both love cooking, but are low on time to go grocery shopping so this seems like a great way to reduce the amount of takeout we get.
Does anyone have experience with meal delivery plans while using Noom? Would love any recommendations if you can share!
Does anyone have any recommendations for premade meal delivery services that deliver to Toyosu? My in-laws got into a bad car accident and doing anything is hard for them right now. My husband and I are currently living abroad in the US, and we want to pay for premade meals that can be delivered to them. Are there any services that folks can recommend?
Iβm looking for a local meal delivery service or personal chef who does meal deliveries to send to a friend. Anybody doing good stuff locally?
Has anyone found a meal delivery service that provides appropriate meals for diverticulitis/diverticulosis patients? I have come across a couple of senior meal delivery services that sound like they fit the profile, but not that deliver to my area.
Like many of you, I am terrible at remembering to prepare my own food and end up eating some combination of cheese and gluten (Mac and cheese, grilled cheese, quesadillas) at 8:30-9 pm in turn. Additionally, I am also on a tight budget. Have any of you found decent, affordable meal delivery services?
I currently live at magnolia and wanted to use my kitchen more. I'm interested in a meal delivery service (like hellofresh or blue apron) however my concern is it actually getting delivered on time. Does anyone have experience with having a meal delivery services on campus? I know my packages are consistently delayed but I'm not sure if that's the delivery company (USPS/UPS) or the on campus mail centers. Since it's food I obviously would not want it to go bad it it gets stuck somewhere. Any advice would be appreciated
My friend and his family are laid up with Covid and I'm wanting to send them a gift card for a meal delivery service but I'm not sure what the best one is in the Surrey/Newton area. Does anyone know which one is best? Uber Eats/Skip the Dishes/Door Dash? THANK YOU

Had a look at Food darzee and fitmeals, they look a little expensive. Has anyone used these services, if so, do you recommend them?
I have found out about fooddarzee and parafit delivers which give food delivery according to goal decided or nutritionist adviced meal plans.
Both cost 21000* for 3 meals. Is there some cheaper option ?
Any type of cuisine, preferably linksrheinisch (Heerdt), and low minimum spend (I live alone).
Iβm looking for a pre-prepared food delivery service (like factor) that has Mediterranean diet options. Anyone have any luck?
