A list of puns related to "Matt Mullenweg"
Was anyone else made slightly queasy by Matt's relentlessly utopian vision of remote working? Don't get me wrong I'm a card-carrying proponent of remote working, but his words reminded me of the kind of thinking that led to Google employees basically living their jobs 24/7.
I guess using data to arrange table plans and put you next to someone you've never met is a nice idea, but I think I prefer a little less structure and a little more serendipity in my social interactions?
Tomorrow Wordpress founder Matt Mullenweg will be debating the future of frontend & web publishing with Matt Biilmann, the founder of Netlify (a popular platform for site generators like Gatsby, Next.js, 11ty, etc) at a free frontend development conference called Jamstack Conf. Chris Coyier from CSSTricks is moderatingβhis perspectives on things are always entertaining & interesting.
The day starts at 9AM PDT and the two Matts chat with Chris at 12 noon PDT. The whole day is free & online.
You may have seen that the two Matts exchanged a few words / ideas in various articles and blog posts. I love web technology and it's interesting to watch where this stuff is headed. (It's not really winner take all anyway... these technologies can all be used together.) Also Evan You and Sarah Drasner from the Vue community have talks, too. Definitely worth checking out if you have time.
A little over 10 years ago I co-founded WordPress with Mike Little and have been working on it ever since, I hope to do it for decades to come. I also founded a company Automattic that makes WordPress.com, Gravatar, Simperium, VaultPress, Akismet... we're about 185 people now and growing rapidly. Happy to answer anything about WP, the independent web, business/startups, typing with Dvorak, pretty much anything.

Three hours later: Thank you so much everyone for the great questions, I also thought it was really cool how the WP community jumped in and answered a few of them even better than I could, it's a good example of how WordPress works. :) It was a pleasure chatting with you all, and hope to see you around the interwebs.
I read this somewhere online, what does he mean and how possible?
Hello Wordpress Community,
I have an opportunity to interview Matt Mullenweg for the podcast https://www.mappingthejourney.com next week. If you would like to ask him any interesting questions, please leave a comment.
Thanks, Pramod
